Honestly, my conquest is easily one of my favorite cars. It doesn't feel outdated even in 2024. Some of the creature comforts I prefer more than modern cars.
This was very well done 👌 The similarities the Stealth shared with the '88 Intrepid concept are undeniable and something I wasn't aware of. ✅ _LIKED_ ✅ _SUBBED_
Glad to hear that! When I was writing up the script for this video - I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of support from 3000GT/GTO/Stealth owners, and the 3SI forum, along with the 3Swiki helped me out a lot! Browsed around & found an answer to just about every question I had! 😁
Mitsubishi always seemed to be doing things differently (good and bad). They seemed to emphasize and pursue technological complexity in their later cars which added weight. I had an early Tredia turbo sedan and drove the wheels off it. It was a fun cheap simple car with exploitable performance. I never got an Eclipse but I think they were similar in their approach to them and were a faster lightweight package which is why they are revered over the 3000GT.
Bro the car was called gto everywhere except the US. Mitsubishi couldn't use GTO in the US because of pontiac, but they didn't care what people thought. It was purely legal
The MR is most definitely a 4wd car, it does however lack the 4ws of its weightier brothers. the only none 4wd variant was the abomination 4 pot n/a - thankfully limited to the USD market.
Fail. Starion was RWD, could be V8 swapped, and the widebody looked right. 3000GT was FWD and heavy and couldn't fit adequately wide tires. Only the first 2 years of Stealth R/T looked right.
OP is clueless. Plenty of 3000GTs are AWD, can fit very wide tires, but don't need to. I've launched these on unprepped streets with crap tires and 600+awp without any issues. Also the 3rd year of the Stealth looked the same as the first 2 years..
ive got a GTO myself and its absolutely a pleasure to see how these cars are absolutely great 90s sports cars

Thank you for making these videos, you’re gonna be huge one day.
💯 % accurate.
Long time owner. Very accurate information here. Even the obscure racing info is spot on.

Great video! Always liked the 3000gt/Stealth.
I had a Starion, wished for a 3000GT and ended up with a first gen Eclipse.
GSX? I still have a Talon TSi
I always like these, great looking and interesting cars.

3000 GTO VR4 deserved such a better history. It literally had EVERYTHING and was leaps and bounds ahead of it's time :(
One of my favorite cars is the Mitsubishi stereon I wish they would bring back Mitsubishi sports cars.
amazing!
❤❤❤

You got wrong, gto mr was rwd only

a transverse, front engined car, just didn't sit right in more ways than one...
I need a longitudinal I6TT. This is non-negotiable. Ultimately, I chose the SupraTT.
Chrysler is why Mitsubishi failed! They did this then only thing "good" since was the Evo but they gave up

3000gt had a 4wd model vr4 turbo 4wd active aero that actually worked
Starion is the RWD, GTO is the 4WD, and the FTO is Fwd.
Weight doesn't matter when your motor is almost 1:1 hp to tq
Fail??
