I’ve had my eye on this rifle for a year now. Very impressive! I’m going to create a budget for this and a good 1-8x scope, bipod, and 300 rounds of match ammo ASAP!

This was a great video, it sold me on the dd5 v4, I’ve been researching for a ar10 because I love the 308 cartridges, I have a bolt action savage 12 and it’s a great rifle now I’ve been looking for a automatic rifle and the dd5 v4 looks like it. Thanks 🙏🏾
I built a custom 20” 308 with a Bartlein barrel and JP Enterprises parts. It shoots sub minute, usually around 1/2 to 3/4 minute but took quite a bit of work to get there. My 600 yard DOPE is 4.5 mils with 178 ELDs going 2545 FPS to hit waterline. 308 at distance will make you an honest shooter 😆
I got the v3 16” version and got a full size steel@530 off the porch and I dial round14moa if I member right with m80 ball from Walmart and wear it out…went to the guardrail off the road and ranged 775 and got 1 hit so far…all around it though just can’t settle in cause cars come and I bail over the rail then jump back across and squat…ol sock with fill for a rest…
What a sweet rifle!! I run a POF P308 Edge and love it! I would still take the DD any day. They don't make em too much better than DD.

Got my DD5 V3 a couple weeks ago, and it's a thing of beauty. Only took it out shooting once so far, shooting an 8" gong at about 50 yds from standing position with some irons and a PA 5x Prism ACSS that I borrowed from another gun, shooting some Prvi Partizan 150 gr. So not really a test for accuracy, but I can't believe how smooth it was to shoot this gun. It's substantially lighter than my Kel-Tec RFB, but by some black magic it recoils FAR less, even with the RFB's gas tuned perfectly to the ammo. Just waiting for my Trijicon VCOG 1-8 to arrive and I'll take it out for a real range day.
This was my first AR, and I was nervous about spending so much, but shooting this thing is magic. No ragrets.

@@wcsdiaries The weight and handling of a 16" barrel was more advantageous to me. There no place within 500 miles of me where I can shoot more than 300 yds.

I saved up for a year. Figured out what I need to put aside a week to get this. The week I had the money in full, the rifle was finally available. I got the call that day it was in and put aside for me. It was meant to be. Lovely rifle for the ar10 platform. Good ol 308 😊

@@MackTheGovnah Yeah, pretty good idea! Plus, by the time you save up for it you can see if you still truly want to buy whatever it is you were saving for. If not you can allocate that money to something else..
@@Painfulwhale360 exactly. I’m doing the same thing for this one, expect I want the mil spec+ camo version and that’s around $180 more. I’ll just save the required amount and get what I really want. It’s worse buying a lesser quality piece and regretting it later on. Everything I buy in the rifle category is something I intend to keep always.

Although specialty ammo is nice, why not test it with 147/150 gr ball ammo and see how it does. This will be the majority of the ammo available during a shtf scenario. Just a thought

While I appreciate the suppressed setting it has, I think you should fire it some unsuppressed as well when it has 2 settings. Otherwise, enjoyed very much Eric and Chad.

Nothing better than 308 to me i own 3 of them 2 AR10s db10 one with 16inch barrel one with 13inch and my fav the Galil ACE 308 pistol they are expensive to feed but idc ill give them all the attention my baby's need lol i also love my DB300 blackout pistol too tho
I have two Diamondback ARs that I've owned for about six years now. I've had some self-proclaimed "experts" talk shit about Diamondbacks. Mine have been super reliable and accurate. My .300 blackout shoots 1" with Hornady V-Max and Hog Hammers. My kids and I have killed lots of deer,hogs, and coyotes with it, Thinking about buying the DB10 once things get back to normal.
I just got a daniel defense ddm5 v1 like month ago. All I have to say WOW. Daniel defense lives up to the hype. At 308 it a lesser beam 😀. I love my ddm5 v1
Is it high maintaince to keep clean.
My v3 I put the 419 hellfire brake and ssa-e trigger plus prs stock ands a .68”@100 rifle with many .5”s and .3”s
I'm trying to figure out how this particular DD5V4 came with a Geissele trigger. It seems the standard black models do not, but the Hunter line does include them.

A year later, i still grin from ear to ear every time i take out. The only drawback is my dd5v4 needs cleaning and lubricant often. If not, it has feed issues. Other than that, no complaints at all.

I saw the thumbnail and was like Ehh, it's a DD so I'm sure it's really high quality but doesn't look like anything too special. After seeing the close ups and hearing the details I'm like wow, I really need one of them!
I bought the DD5V4 / 7.62 a few weeks ago.
So far I’ve had the best accuracy results with Hornady 155 ELD and Berger 155.5 full bore pills over 44.5gr to 45 gr of Reloader 15 powder and about 2,665 FPS .
168 grain SMK are shooting well but a bit on the slow side at 2,550 FPS.
I just bought a batch of new match brass in hopes of shrinking those groups a bit.
I’ve been loading test rounds so far using bulk once fired Lake City cases.
A lot of my initial groups with the used cases would result in 3-4 shots well under 1 moa and a flyer or two.
Could be the barrel heating up after 3 rounds but hoping to eliminate the ransoms with better brass.
The only factory ammo I tested did well, and that was the cheaper Federal American Eagle M-1A OTM 168 grain. It was a bit slow from the 18” barrel @2,530 FPS but it grouped right around 1 moa
*randoms (not ransoms) 🤓
PS. All reloads were seated to fit standard mags. COAL 2.805
CCI BR-2 primers.
Varget powder also showed accuracy potential but not achieving the velocities of RE-15 powder
Hi - i tested today - but was not so succesfull
Hornady SST 165grs - 15cm grouping
Hornady GMX Intern. 165 grs - better 10cm
Hornady GMX Intern. 150 grs - little bit better then the 165grs gmx.
FOX 165gr - 10cm
...the best grouping (Hunting ammo) was a loaded ammunition FOX 150gr / N140.... 5-6cm
the Hornady BTHP Match155gr works good 4cm...but it s not for Hunting....
I chat with DD - they recommend the Federal 168 / 175 and and the ELD-X 178...
If you find out a good ammo....please give a note!

@@xaverkoller4131 I did go back to the range for another round of testing reloads Saturday using the Sierra matchking 168s.
This time I used new Hornady brass and Reloader 15 powder.
My best 5 shot group of the day was with 45.0 grains of powder.
First 4 shots were under 1/2 inch then #5 was slightly outside , making it about a .8 inch group. (100yards).
Muzzle velocities were pretty good for an 18 inch barrel 2,599, 2,616, 2599 , 2,631, 2,601. verified using the Labradar. Brass looked ok but that is approaching max charge weight according to my reloading manuals.
That might be too hot of a load for the heavier military brass
though. As always ,be careful friend

I have a DD5V2 & I've been having two issues...one is the the damn dust cover wants to come off after a few shots.I even ordered an aftermarket one & it did not fit.Two,it works properly with pmags...I tried Lancer 308 mags & it doesn't lock back after last round...I tried two other steel sr25 style mags one won't even stay in rifle & the other doesn't feed rounds properly.Its to bad... i really want to like this rifle...

IDK...my Smith and Wesson M&P10 is 100% reliable and is MOA or less with lots of different ammo brands and weights.

I stopped watching MAC ever since he started the whole shoulder brace cheeking thing. At least when the BATFE clarified he reversed his stance, but the damage was done. Once MAC started Copper Custom, it seems he let it get to his head.

Adam you clearly don’t own one. The fit and finish on a DD is about as good as it gets until you step up to Hodge or KAC. BCM makes solid rifles, but are not the same as a DD. I have sold all but 1 BCM, and still have 3 of the DD’s, including a 5v1.
