      Not worth the price there asking Barret Jackson screwed that.. those cars there are bought and parked for big bucks people see these cars and think there's is the same price with million miles holes cut for speakers etc... Not org. Tack. Is should be a tick- tock - tack... Lowered ? Worn out spring's. 25,000. At the most motor was screwed with different ignition system etc. You can find them cheeper and do the work yourself and you know what you have as well.. and the real millage I don't trust these dealerships at all I seen a lot of people get riped off when things are not right...

    fastest car I ever owned was a 77 custom cruiser wagon with the 455 rocket engine, it got me n my brother way from the police several times, once I got caught doing 26 in a 25 zone after work late one night the cop gave me 5 tickets as I parked in front of my house, when he was done he says next time dont run from the police like i did he said the day before, talked to my kid brother who was driving that day n he laughed n told me about running from the cop, showed him my tickets he kinda smirked but was sorry, I left every muscle car that frowned at me at red lights in dust n when they asked what I had under the hood i said just a 350 lol, that car had traction because it was a station wagon but was straight up fast as hell with the 455 rocket, this car is awesome here !!

    Imagine this car in oldschool but traditional Cragar wheels, interior in maroon interior but in my version front seat will have a split in between for my dream Hurst's lightning triple shifter.
    Video is going and i am typing while enjoying the music coming out of car's exhaust.
    Why my fav cars are so underrated?? This 68 Hurst and 70 cougar..

    Needs a 400cid engine, floor shift, drum brakes, stock wheels, air intake and bucket seats. Stripes on front fenders were painted, not a decal. Also need the trumpets on the tailpipes. I had a ‘68 convertible as my first car. Spare tire should also be the Olds rally wheel with a full size spare.

    Beautiful car. The poster car for chrome. Those chrome strips on top of the front fenders, on the sides of the seats, and on the trunk are incredible. There's more chrome on that back bumper than on some entire cars. The car is a nice blend of muscle and luxury. I think the oversize wheels are a travesty, but I know you need to appeal to the young kids. Use a toothbrush to get rid of the polish residue on the grill.

      68 is my favourite among all cutlass, those front four split headlights and rear slim taillights stack between bumper and body is just so rarely perfect..these Oldsmobile have overtaken the Chevy guys in perfection build. This car is build and designed by big heart. I had a vision upgrade for this car, wish i could show to you..i had a dream to have that lightning triple shifter retrofitted in this and Penske racing springs for more confident fun with Cragar wheels.

    For the $34,000 asking price I want to see the ORIGINAL RIMS, the original intake manifold and the car restored back to "like new" condition!! That also means the MSD ignition has to go as well as the stereo system, and where exactly IS the spare tire?????? Come on guys it is a $34,000 car that originally came with a jack and a full sized spare the least you could to is have one in the car more so for that kind of money!!! • @peterrivney552
      @peterrivney552 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      True in '68 Cutlass was 350c.i.
      442 was a 400 c.i. and
      H/O was 455 c.i. that was a stroked 425 c.i. originally since the 425 c.i. was a shorter stroke than the 455 c.i.

    Sumtin'' you don't know. The 68' and 69' 442's were the fastest on the streets through the 70's and could trounce any Chevell SS 454 or 427 and any 383, 440 GTX or Roadrunner and chewed Corvetts all day. See ya, they had no chance against the 68,69 442's then. I pulled the left wheel of the ground in a bone stock 68' 442 rag top with and automatic with pure stock posi. Nope don't have chance. This was the secret back then. The 442 ruled the streets even without traction bars and running 60's or even 78's it took anything. Real fast...then.

      Better do some research on Oldsmobile's Cutlass is small block 442 is big block that is the main difference to start with in 1964 the first 442 was a 330 c.i. small block 1965 to 1968 the 442 was a 400 c.i and from 1969 to 1975 the 442 was a 455 c.i.
      They did have automatic transmission as well in them with the bench seat the automatic was a Colum shifter but four speed was on the floor with buckets seats there was the counsel shifter. As well they did make a few 2-Door posts as well and with that combination there is the lightest body for street drag racing... I had 18 Oldsmobile's fromv1964 to 1970...

I hate clone cars. I like the upgrades but leave 442 emblems off. I restored a Chevelle Malibu. I left all Malibu emblems. I did put a big block in it, corvette rally wheels, and SS hood. I don’t imply it’s an SS but like some of the factory original goodies. I left bench seat and factory dash.

      The 1968 & 1969 Cutlass & 442 was offered ONLY with a max engine of 400 Cubic Inch. There was a specialty built "Hurst Olds" (with a 455) which was NOT a 442 (no 442 badges), the Hurst Olds was built by and at Hurst and not Oldsmobile. Hurst installed the 455 at their company, as GM would NOT allow it in any "A" body cars until 1970.Their were 515 Hurst Olds built in 1968 and 906 Hurst Olds built in 1969 -- All Hurst Olds were Turbo Hydromatic 400 automatics.
