A buddy of mine in HS back in the 80s had a 70 Plumb Crazy RT auto 383 but no vinyl top. It had been freshly painted for about 3 yrs but he ended up repainting it brown. I asked him why and he said he liked to paint it frequently to keep it from rusting? Always thought that was funny but I guess? Anyway an E Body in any color tends to look great! Best looking body style Detroit has ever made in my opinion!
I used to own a 73 rootbeer brown 340 4speed Cuda with a vinyl top....to this day it has always been my favorite car I have ever owned and I have owned a lot of cars....so many memories!
My God ! I had a '71 R/T back in early '80's when I was a crazy kid. That thing had 380hp and I thought THAT was a blast. Christ 600 horsepower !!!!! That's just a beast, a frame and a shell around the monster !! I WILL be behind another one before I'm dust. I'd get behind that steering wheel before I'd get behind a nude woman.
@@CoyoteClassics Man, I know this is a business and you're not in it to keep cars, but wow, these rods that you fellas have been getting in have really raised the bar and some have to be tempting. I'm sure you're not driving a Corolla around. Why ? Because life's too short to drive a boring car !
Brother had a 73 RT red black vinyl top sold it to a guy didn't even make it home and wrote it off before he got there beautiful car except not liking the color somebody got a nice ride though 👍
Brother had a red one black vinyl top 73 rt 340 six pack was a wicked car sould it cheap back in early 80 what a shame guy who bought it wrecked it befor he got it home crazy but true not fan of brown at all but actually sits nice impressive 👍 👏 😉 😀 👌
I had a 1973 340 dark green metallic with a black top and interior. Mint condition. Bought it in 1986 and owned it until 1992. Sure with I could get that one back. This car is Super Sweet and most definitely not $1500.00...
Not much for revving like that to begin with. Doesn't have jack to do with going fast. I don't rev my V8 like this...but I get down to business when the temp gets up.
@@hornetbrown This!! once the oil, trans is good and warm only then I never free rev either lots of guys have spun bearings and rod bolts failed from that
Im always surprised by how many "monster" machines were ordered with auto transmissions, "Granny car" indeed😅 Nothing beats tossing about a shifter and pounding on a clutch pedal when there's that kind of power be produced 🤙
The imperfections make it a daily driver. (If it was perfect I wouldn't want to drive it.) I would fix the paint imperfections and change the color slightly to a burnt orange metallic.
Why not? Car will drive the same just look better doing it? I never let that fear of what ifs stop me..they dont get ruined driving them unless youre following Semis on the fwy with gravel
@@CoyoteClassics Either I never heard this car start in 1st or it has one hell of a tall fwy gear! Could definintely use more converter. Nice driver for someone...its tuned decently for sure

It's a reverse manual valve body. Not throttle body. And you need to stop driving it like that because you're burning up the transmission. How much is the car?
(i'm guessing) the original motor was gone DECADES AGO - they call it a "crate motor" with catalog parts ...the bendy radiator hose is pure garbage !! ...i can get a better one at Walmart ...AS SOON AS YOU SEE ONE - RUN AWAY
Like it’s currently offered killing machines, easily able to speed recklessly through urban neighborhoods, killing indiscriminately. In recent weeks a dodge of varying models, killed 4 in philadelphia. My wife and son, were killed by the driver of one, 37 years ago. One simple question, why the need for this much horsepower? In the hands of anyone outside of a collector, these vehicles should be outlawed on America’s roadways.
You guys are a little rough with your test drive. The revving and gunning it. A person paying 50k for a classic likes gentle and that’s not a race car it would get spanked on the track. Just a nice car with more power than stock.

I'd never thought I'd like a brown Challenger, but wow!
Root Beer.

What’s up with the 2 footed driving😂
My uncle had a brown Super Bee Charger and it was SWEET. I believe Dodge called that color bronze metallic.
Ikr..
Them challengers/ cudas 70-74 are a work of art!
Those drone shots as you do the walk around are spot on. Good work guys. Love your show.
Much appreciated!
@@CoyoteClassics Agreed. Great idea and whoever the pilot is does a fine job too !!
Love the color; Coppertone reminds me of childhood our kitchen appliances were that color early 70s.
I loved the 1970 rt challenger from the classic movie. VANISHING POINT..with Barry Newman
Nice Challenger 😊, perfect candidate for a pair of CalTracks and a pair of wider tires in the rear
Looks like Autumn Bronze Metallic paint , Beautiful Color , had it on my 71 Cuda

That's a really nice car. I dig the brown, those 70's color's that were common (brown, olive green, etc.) just work for cars of that era
Right on
Not a fan of brown cars but this one is awesome!
It sure is!
I had a 1973 challenger 340 - 4 speed , hooker headers midnite blue & black vinyl top . I wish a still had that car back in 1978 .
I had a 72 340 Challenger. I also wish I still had it
The pin holes are for the moisture to get out and not rot out the metal.
Awesome car, guys! It looked perfectly new sitting there all shined up!
We agree!

Burt should have used this in Smokey and The Bandit. 🎵 East bound and down...🎵
Dodge/Plymouth had a gorgeous bronze paintjob back then. It was just a little lighter than this.
JESUS….that car is a frggin BEAST!!!!
That ding on the p side quarter panel sure looks like rust bubbling under the paint.
Agree...old resto, very nice but bet this is why the former owner sold
once you have visible rust theres usually lots more hiding on inner panels
Wwwooowww bald guy lol that back end kicked out on you way to tame that MONSTER 🫡

Sure is!
I would love to have it ,I love that colar

If that’s a 440 motor with stroker crank, how many cubic inches? Nice car!
Probably just over 5...all depends
Sure it makes lots of torque
Nice entry level Mopar, yes 50k is entry-level nowadays unfortunately. Put a few bucks in it and would be fantastic. 😊
Rust would be the first thing I chase. COuld be minimal or a huge $ pit
Sounds great
Looking for a car like that, totally missed out by a day...
Next time!
Reverse valve body not reverse throttle body if you revered the fuel lines to the throttle it wouldn't even start other than that it's carburetored
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣yea
Surprised more didnt catch that.
Never sound like it started out in 1st. Or it has a real tight converter and 2xx gears
That car sold quick, I wonder what the price was? Call me weird but I'd want to put a blacked out t/a hood on it.
hey, you guys do shipments as well, to Europe? Spain?
