Most important thing to remember is that you can remove & replace skill points at any time. It’s organization makes no sense whatsoever, so just grow the branches outward and look for the major abilities (the big ones) that you want. Edit: Just realized this post was from a week ago. You’re probably even further along than I am at this point. 😆
The devs said you would have all skills by the end game, só keep in mind that the builds are more for the armor sets and bonuses than for the skill tree part of it.
Swap is good with heavy dual wield you can have a two handed axe and a spear together but your off hand weapon has weaker attacks a spear isnt as effective against shield compared to an axe so you can swap back and forth for an advantage
I can’t believe you glazed over the fact that if you want more Adrenaline bars that’s in the Yellow tree (2) and only (1) in the Red tree... that’s gives some super beneficial in this game. [You did mention it around the midpoint of the video but not in that specific call out]
yeah I tried that (dane + spear, I haven't found a second dane yet), amazing for clearing off a lot of small enemies, (light attack seems to hit in all directions!!!!!) but it needs a lot of planning when facing fast enemies or bosses, for now I'm sticking to hammer and shield, the first hammer you find is a definite boss killer

I mained bear for a while and then branched into Raven. Advanced Assassination and Chain Assassinate is OP. I did a 340 power raid at around 120 after advanced assassinating most of the enemy.

Did you notice there's a Witcher 3 sample in the soundtrack which plays when you have the skill tree open? It's the one which plays when you are near Novigrad - it sounded like Venice soundtrack from AC II. That is a very nice touch.
Everyone - Do yourself a favor and pick up dual wield heavy weapons as soon as you can. It mean you can equip ANY weapon in each hand (including 2 shields) I'm using Greatsword/Dagger combo... literal game changer.
Ubisoft’s organization of Valhalla’s skill tree is so bizarre compared to Odyssey’s. My advice is to just grow the tree outward and identify central skill perks you really want. The passive buffs will be acquired along the way no matter which way you go.

well a high level territory I found said required power level 280, so I'm guessing at least 280 skill points, to put it in perspective, it took me about 30 or 40 skill points to reach 2h weapon dual wielding which seems to be towards the end node of the melee leaf, so I'm guessing it should have enough to cover all your needs from one leaf and pick some extra stuff from the others

I went red from the get go... I must start going yellow now. When I try to assassinate, it doesn't finish them. Its a shame I'm only learning this about 30 hours in.
Have played AC for multiple generations I really find this one really lagey on the control buttons and for a real world game I have had to reload to the last saved point because of a few glitches.

If you think BreakFall is god mode from falling to your death. It’s not. If your to high your going to die. A good tip is just before you land hit the attack button. That works
Yes it does. If you heavy right before you hit the ground it will do a ground slam and cancel out all the damage. Essentially making the breakfall skill useless.
This maybe a stupid question but with the Dual Swap skill does that work when you have say an axe and a shield? Or does it only work if you have two axes, swords ect?
This is perhaps the worst kind of skill tree in games these days... I don't know why they keep making these.. First of all, having everything hidden until you unlock nearby skill it just idiotic. You have no idea which way you want to go in the tree, because you can't see what's ahead, and also, the small skills are just in the way of getting to the big skills, so you just click them without really caring what they do... I really hate it
Maybe i should up the difficulty , i usually just have fun playing on the regular /medium levels. This game i literally have not used my abilities at all so far. I have all four abilities full on both sides and never use them lol. I just end up forgetting about them because the combat is like two or three hits for each enemy..... Im struggling with what to do , i'm in london, about 60 power or so and i usually just go off doing side quests like crazy but this one seems to have weird side quests and no indication when you will run into one you can't do yet because your power is low. People tell me to stick to main story but which one? The orders? The only other "main" story i can do right now is building my camp or finding codex pages, or the seer story which i'm still a bit low for asgard. there is no single "main" story to follow unless i'm missing something

In my blue and yellow trees I still have 2 major nodes which are still empty. I have completed the tree as far as I can see. There are no more I can assign to and I now have the masterly nodes in the middle. My level is 473. How do it fill those 2 empty nodes. I’m still getting skill points but I can’t put them into the empty nodes
The spinning combat icons above the health bar? When I perform certain combat moves with the controllers bumpers those combat icons start spinning for a few seconds then they disappear? Can somebody explain to me the significance of the icons and why they spin and disappear? That has to be informing me of something?

Hidden blade, and hay bails to hide in.. also when you had to chop off a finger to even do so.. assassins creed.. the game that started it all in all assassins creed..ivor made me laugh when said that i wont make the same mistake you both did lol they both had missing fingers and she chose to keep hers outside of her wrist..my lmfao
Abilities you can equip in the four ranged and four melee slots are found in the world, not on the skill tree. The abilities on the tree have the directions for how/when to use them on the tooltip.

What's the difference between assassination damage (hidden blade icon) and stealth damage (hood icon)? There's only stealth damage in statistics. I have russian interface only so maybe its translation issues but i can't figure out the difference.
I'm not sure but I would be led to assume that stealth applies to all damage done to an enemy regardless of type as long as you was still classed as hidden, whereas hidden blade only applies to assignation damage
@@VenomsTommy Yeah, it make sense, thanks. Like bow hits from a distance or first hit with melee. It's strange though that the damage from the hidden blade is not displayed anywhere in the ac game but strange stealth is.
One of the biggest problems with this game, even though I really enjoy playing it, is that you cannot save more than one build at a specific level of progress. It would be nice to be able to have loadouts like in Division. An associated problem is when you perform a mission that has more than one part, successfully complete the first part, but repeatedly fail the second part, the game makes the assumption that you were not going to change your gear to try to succeed on the second part. The game is wrong, and on each successive failure, you will have to again distribute your points and make any gear changes, even if those changes were substantial. If you follow the game's assumptions, you might be kept in an endless loop. The only way to break the problem is to be able to save gear/ points changes between checkpoints.
Hi Fextralife, I see you play on PC and have runes equiped in your weapons. Middle mouse botton does nothing for me. and you cant change it. So... how do? ;)
@@chrisseitzberg7365 put it on hybrid and you can switch back, I use kbm to respec skills and play the dice game. I didn't have an issue with my scroll wheel to assign the runes.
It has multiple difficulties so it should be like recent AC games, catering to different kinds of players. It has Easy, Default, Hard, Very Hard and even difficulty customization for certain parts of the game... Stealth, Combat and Exploration.
So what actually is the parry/block button on pc? Every site and the controls in game just says Left Alt but that is dodge/roll and there is no parry/block button. Plz help, I dont just want to dodge all game.
Most weapons can’t block or parry anyway, it’s only with shields and it’s the off hand attack button to block with them by holding it or parry by timing it with the hit
Listen, i am a huuuuuge stealth fan. I'd much rather scope out an area , pick off ennemies one by one, and get rewarded for it. Does this game satisfy this itch?
Skill trees are very bland and the 3 trees seem unbalanced in terms of skill power but the game is a lot of fun. I dont like the fact that you have to dump a lot of skill points into mostly useless stuff to get a few decent skills, for example grit.
@@Sengg0 I think their approach is one of depth. They'll add up when you've acquired a few hundred of them. Look at the detailed stats page to see the totals. Don't get me wrong, I don't like this setup. However, I'm just trying to be clear what it is and isn't.
@@davso91 but if you dont play woth it..its still a waste because it means you dont want one hit assassinations. So its counter productive to add to assassination damage if you dont want that.
I wouldn’t use that option because it’s corny as hell and it takes away from a skill check pop up against tough enemies that don’t go down with a simple back stab...well (once you unlock it in the assassin tree)
You can also easily say that PoE got their skill tree from something like FFX's Sphere Grid. There are no original ideas anymore. Inspiration is not theft.

Breakfall not needed. Smash the heavy attack button when you jump off and you will do an attack and not take any damage from any height.
Removed with the 1.0.4 update.
You can do the roll by hitting A/X when you hit the ground. The skill just does this automatically.

you can respec for free btw, when I reached power level 30 I used those skill points to uncover the whole tree by respeccing constantly
You can always reset it for free
If you get to power level 200 you can get every skill in the tree, then colour in your favoured colour and wep passives.

You really can't. There's ranged passives in the bear (red) section, for example. They mix it up so you don't completely fail at the other styles.

The main story line is the alliance map from the woman in the long house where you basically help out all the other areas to make them allies

Those are buffs and the countdown of their duration.

You can shoot a head shot while in stealth that ms not classed as an assassination attack

its a melee skill that you find at the start, not a node in the talent tree.

Worse case plug in a console controller i find these games better with a controller in general but yeh you could try that method.
@@melzy0146 controller is the only way to put in runes on pc i found out. But archery is weak.
@@chrisseitzberg7365 put it on hybrid and you can switch back, I use kbm to respec skills and play the dice game. I didn't have an issue with my scroll wheel to assign the runes.
Is this game difficult enough?
It has multiple difficulties so it should be like recent AC games, catering to different kinds of players. It has Easy, Default, Hard, Very Hard and even difficulty customization for certain parts of the game... Stealth, Combat and Exploration.
So what actually is the parry/block button on pc? Every site and the controls in game just says Left Alt but that is dodge/roll and there is no parry/block button. Plz help, I dont just want to dodge all game.
You cannot parry on PC, only dodge

Most weapons can’t block or parry anyway, it’s only with shields and it’s the off hand attack button to block with them by holding it or parry by timing it with the hit
Left tab key is your parry/block button on pc.
Parry is "Q" for me.
Listen, i am a huuuuuge stealth fan. I'd much rather scope out an area , pick off ennemies one by one, and get rewarded for it. Does this game satisfy this itch?
to a degree. But you also play a Viking and one of the core mechanic is raids with your group which mostly result in open fighting

I wih the skill tree wasn't so spread out.
Skill trees are very bland and the 3 trees seem unbalanced in terms of skill power but the game is a lot of fun. I dont like the fact that you have to dump a lot of skill points into mostly useless stuff to get a few decent skills, for example grit.
That's the essence of skill trees and why I don't like them.
It's not useless stuff, it's literally the stats that determine how well you fight.
@@PhilRezanow The upgrades are very miniscule, you dont notice the changes really. Besided this is not a game where you would need to min max.
@@Sengg0 I think their approach is one of depth. They'll add up when you've acquired a few hundred of them. Look at the detailed stats page to see the totals.

@@davso91 but if you dont play woth it..its still a waste because it means you dont want one hit assassinations. So its counter productive to add to assassination damage if you dont want that.
I wouldn’t use that option because it’s corny as hell and it takes away from a skill check pop up against tough enemies that don’t go down with a simple back stab...well (once you unlock it in the assassin tree)
I never saw this as a BUILD game it’s an assassins creed game just enable one hit assassinations and play

You can also easily say that PoE got their skill tree from something like FFX's Sphere Grid. There are no original ideas anymore. Inspiration is not theft.
