I highly recommend exploring the coastlines in England open the map just truly sail around and in settings you can turn the option on to assassinate any type of enemy no matter how high level they are . I got it on

bruh i'm 7H in and still haven't sailed 'home to Fornbug' i might be exploring a lil too much, I met a guy in a cave and i did not enjoy that encounter - after 4 deaths I just quit and left him to rot
You should, continuing the storyline in Norway will take you around the area, probably to places you’ve been already and you’ll unlock the horse too.

@@Sweet00701 i wish i knew the horse was unlocked literally as soon as I got to camp would've saved me a lot of time, but its cool I've already cleared the region so i'll just fast travel till I progress past Ryfulke
you can defeat him if you geared enough. i did have to do try a few times though, it was hard, but try not to stay away from him too much. Although it depends on your difficulty level i guess, as i am playing on berserker or something level of difficulty
I can't get through the first mission "a seer solace" and all I can do is wait for a patch or start alll over.
I like how Valhalla isn’t like odyssey, and you can’t just have a ton of gear, and make all these unstoppable builds. I actually like this game after playing it for 20hrs.

Overall I prefer oddessy. The combat was better there. And more weapon types. But this is my 2nd favorite AC game.
This game is absolutely amazing its everything i wanted and more, its like a blend of Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed, ive been playing it all day and just cant out it down
I’m not sure if you require the breakfall skill to do this.
But if you spam your free run up button. Or your climb jump button as you land from a “High fall” you can further reduce fall damage and perform a cooler. Faster roll.
You’ll know you done this by you rolling forwards on your shoulder instead of sideways on your back.
Btw dual wield spears is amazing. Quick parry times, quick attacks, and it seems if you use two of the same weapon both are used in the combo.
I’ve been playing for about 10 hours maybe more and only up to the first chapter in England coz I can’t miss anything the game has so many mysteries and I love finding underground places and collecting loot I won’t be watching your videos about where stuff is coz the way I’m playing I’ll find em myself haha
If your playing archer get the arrow reinforcement and combine it with the raven loot skills and you can snipe people with your bow from distance and you will never run out of arrows if you kill them in 1 hit. Best combo in the game for archers!

Have anyone revisit the old village of the raven clan, where the sequence of young eivor takes place. I kinda stumbled upon that village when I was trying to complete all the mysteries before proceeding to England. If you revisit the village, you'll get some sad dialogs from eivor.

Bit disappointed they got rid of the default walk, x to fast walk, r2 to jog & r2+x to sprint and free run. Made your character feel weightier and control better
I think this ALL the time! Whenever i start an AC game i just wish its in there again..but no more:( when they said they had sorted how floaty they felt in AC:Od i thought they had added it back in..oh well

When you leave Norway it’s so easy all you needs is to learn how to parry and make sure you get the dagger at the bottom of Norway
Right ?! My biggest surprise was the first drengr of Ragnar lothbrok I always play AC on the highest difficulty and I was still getting used to the new gameplay even though I played odyssey recently and let me tell you I spent 40 hellish minutes trying to beat him and I just spent 2 little hours with the game at this point 😭, but it was definitely a good experience bc he really forced me to be smart about fighting since there is a stamina bar now and only when I knew all the patterns of his attacks was I able to beat him, now every fight has been way easier I even beat kjotve on the first try 😂 this is definitely more lighthearted dark souls than I expected when they said there would be a stamina bar I always save now before any event bc any fight could end in my lost easily if I’m not focused
I hope that the next ac game will be true next gen, they need to overhaul their engine, have better motion capture, better faces, lyp syncing, animations, they have allot of work in the coming years....
Yeh that all needs a revamp especially if it's comparing itself to Witcher and rdr2. The bugs and the lack of optimisation is the worst tho, got a 1080ti and still have to run most settings near medium just cuz of how bad it is

Heavy Dual Wield is probably one of my favorites.
I love my wide sweeping heavy weapons like axes and longswords, and being able to use 2, or have a shield is a blessing.
Yeah. One technically can go far in this game with 5 skills only.
1. All 4 adrenaline bars
2. Chain assassination
3. Brush with death
4. Dual wielding
5. Grit

Tip For Bow Users is If you are getting out of arrows quickly dont forget every bow in this game uses differrent arrow so u can switch between hunter or light bows to use the arrows of that particular type i use it very often as soon as my hunter bows arrows run out i switch to light bow and wallah i have full pack of new set of arrows and predator bow also is in it
Man im loving this game so much. Im only a couple hours in but im already betting its gonna crack my top 3 AC games n im a huge fan I love em all 👍
Before you can get breakfall just hit R2 right before you land and it negates all fall damage. I've fallen from some pretty high mountains with zero fall damage. You just have to get the timing down though because if you miss it depending on the height you could be in trouble. Another thing I found out, if you're falling from a mountain you can spam R2 and you'll usually end up clinging onto the mountain instead of falling all of the way down.
Love that dodge spamming is punished in this one
Thorn of slumber with the Needler bow. that makes a sleep cloud when you headshot something
I like this game, but OMG I still miss the Spartan Kick so much.
You can Also do a heavy attack before hitting the ground to stop fall damage.
Return to sender I think is the name of the skill but it allows you to catch any projectile and send it back to the enemy that tried to hurt you with it. One of my favorites.
Missile Reversal
Here a tip, I’m lvl 50 and I killed all the lvl 90 boss nights first go with that “missile reversal move” just be far enough away from them and return their javelins back to then and it does ALOT of damage. And it works with heaps of other stuff too, one of my favs atm
I just put assassination to always instant in settings
imo it's more fun that way and feels like old school AC where if you fuck up your stealth then you better be good at fighting. Plus I miss where you can pull off sick assassinations on high value targets and such.

JorRaptor - Thanks for all the help in getting Platinum on Valhalla (what a frigging grind!) - I wanted to let you know there seems to be a glitch on my game...I now have 143 Mastery Points on top of my 400 Power...I've only heard of people capping at 490...I am literally at 543...
Brush with death is honestly the most satisfying perk I’ve ever had on any game when time fully slows its some shit outta anime
You can ignore fall damage by doing a heavy attack during your fall, you’ll ground pound and take no damage
hey @JorRaptor, lots of people having issues with the Seer quest at the beginning. Do you have any news on the upcoming patch? I already played 7 hours, but can't proceed on main story. I don't want to re-start the game =/
I had to restart my game and it fixed the problem for me
I had the same problem and reïnstalled the game, you don't have your save then but you can get past the mission. If you played 7 hours already it might indeed be a good idea to wait for the patch and explore Norway in the mean time.
I’ve got the same problem dude so annoying considering I spent $170 waited patiently for a year just to not have it work sucks. Hopefully they release a patch this weekend. I’ve got a question how often do Ubisoft patch games if their broken.

@@takezones that sucks, I’ve been reading a lot of Ubisoft forums and a lot of people have this problem, Ubisoft did respond they said they are aware of the issue and are working on it but have no estimated time. Thanks anyway though.
I found that if you jump from a high mountain before you hit the ground if you use the right trigger to do an in air attack it negates all fall damage

If you do a heavy atttack bevor you Land after Falling like thousands of metres you dont get damage so you dont need the roll perk

Missile reversal
When you get a perfect parry on most throwing or shooting attacks you shot or throw the projectile back at the enemy and either kill or severely damage the enemy
Don't bother wirh breakfast. Just use heavy attack before hitting thr ground and you'll do an attack before hitting the ground negating any fall damage
another shout to the skill where your raven collects good if you kill from range this is great for both hunting and if you need say a key but dont want to fight the full army
You can just always turn on guaranteed assassination in options it is abit cheating game wise but way more immersive, my favorite skill is terror especially in raids makes weak enemies run away its just fun
One thing that ANNOYS ME TO NO END about the Auto-Loot ability is that it doesn't work on stun finishers, just actual melee attacks and assassinations. The stun finishers are melee-based! God damn it!

You can jump off the highest point possible and not take any fall damage just by doing a heavy attack before hitting the ground and he lands like Thor.

I didn't have that issue myself but I've heard saving your game manually (not quick save) and reloading it can fix it
Restarted my campaign because it wasn't loading lol
If you reinstal your game and do not update it to 1.02 it should work, you can however not use your current save then so you have to start over.
You need the day 1 patch. Make sure your game is updated. It's a known bug which is fixed with the patch.
imo the light bow with the shooting 5 arrows at the same time is insane strong with light bow combo and arrow reinforcement...
Early on I got my ravens to loot people I kill with my box, definitely worth the point

@2:58 Breakfall: Instead of investing in this skill, jump off any height and before you land spam your heavy attack button. You will never get any fall damage. Proper game mechanic (not a glitch), makes the Breakfall Skill useless.
@5:35 you get the quest with Knut for the Wolf when you upgrade your settlement to Rank 3.
I think my #1 Issue with the game is i'm not exactly sure how to get new weapons. And I don't mean legendary ones. I just mean different weapon types in general. I just made it out of the starting area and I've been using dual axes and I'm looking for variety in it.
You will pick up a few more when going for the golden markers on the map. There is a few different weapons but it can get a little boring doing the same moves to kill all the enemies. My advice its dont hold onto your cash and spend loads just to upgrade different weapons and switch between them often for veriaty.

To everyone who played this...is it better than odyssey? As a hater of odyssey and a lover of old AC game, will I love this game?
Yes, definitely. I have loved the other games as well and have played almost all games since the original one. The thing with Odyssey that I did not like was the grind and the continous side missions that were sometimes fun but mostly garbage. In Valhalla the missions are fewer, but much more fun. You can go off track a bit but will not lose track or oversight by all the things you have to do. Gear is better, the level up system is better, fighting is much greater and the raids are amazing. The 'Viking' feel is defintely there and I am totally addicted. Gives me some Black Flag vibes.
You don't need Breakfall to negate fall damage. All you have to do is click on R2/RT and Eivor will smash the ground when landing, negating all the damage. I've done this falling from cliffs and tall buildings

The most op health combo is idunns heart and grit idunns heart regenerates health after taking damage but it’s kinda slow and grit, well the video explains it
Something I've noticed and don't like is that when you kill one of the lieutenants in a raid you have to wait several seconds before you can loot them. The body will flop around and then you can loot it. Seems like a bug that should be fixed.

The way the skill tree works is so interesting and different, it's kind of like a mini game, trying to get the skills you want but trying to use too many points

Strike the ground before you land and you’ll take very little to no fall damage :)) save the points, use RB/R1
Latest patch seems to have fixed this, you're taking damage from very long falls no matter what.

Pro tip: heavy attacking through your falls will negate fall damage

I'm actually in love with this game. Seeing as I live in England at the bottom near the isle of white in what was then wessexs kingdom. It's cool to look at the map to try figure out where exactly I am. Now just got to wait till I'm high enough power level to see my area

If you can get the gothic pack armor set it’s really helpful and will make you feel like a god plus the set allows you to regenerate lost health
