@@mattm8018indeed, there are alot of 6 cylinders that sound awsome not only V6 (flat 6, inline 6, VR6). It’s not necessarily that more cilinders = better sound. I think GT3RS>M5 (V8) and also .>RS6 C6 (V10) and also .>Rolls Royce (V12) it depends on motor to motor what sounds better and what setup it is running. But we can agree that 4 cylinders don’t sound good, sure some sound better, some sound worse, i believe it’s something with the imbalance of the 4 cylinder.
You can so tell this i4 is from the A45😂. Like it’s a great engine, but like even the super short second gear is identical to the A45. Probably the best 4 cylinder on the market to put in a sports car actually👍
Drove the new CLA45s with stage 1 running 500+ HP, i can confirm that was a beast already. In this way more light weight car, it must be absolute crazy. I believe these engines, atleast in the setup that Mercedes uses, kind of need better cooling if you decide to tune, but maybe the lotus has better cooling stock.
This car is brilliant . Nothing in our current car world comes close to this or an Alpine . This lightweight package almost perished . I would take any of those two over a Porsche 718 .
It’s funny they showed that Miata at the beginning. It’s like the Miata was the larval form and it had metamorphosed into a more perfect version of itself: the Lotus Emira.
Considering that this is a 365HP Sportscar with great Aero and pretty small, I have to it again, sorry. That thing won't move away from a 333HP Golf8 R Performance. Still think that it should have the 421HP/500NM version of that engine to justify the looks and pricetag.
Who cares? It will destroy the Golf R on a track and in terms of driver enjoyment, which is what this car was built for. Don't pretend like these cars are somehow comparable. I do agree that the 420HP version would've been more appropriate, but it would've eaten into the V6 sales so I understand the decision of downtuning the engine.
Never underestimate lighter cars . I don't know about this one but a 4 cylinder Jaguar F TYPE is much more fun to the drive than the heavier V6 . Acceleration figures also quite the same .

Кроме того, все знают, что все эМки тех годов показывали адски завышенные значение по спидометру против gps - замеры делали неоднократно. М5 е60 - 330км/с по спидометру, 300 по gps, m3 e92 - 300 по спиду и еле-еле 270 в Реале, м3 е46 -та же история, никаких 285 там не было - если только не с горы. У Ламбо тех годов была та же история. А вот мерсы были как раз точные 2-5км/ч всего разбег с gps.

Недавно один европеец залил видео М5 Е60 G-Power 830 л.с и разогнался до 370 км в час по спидометру, а по GPS скорость составила около 365 км в час по race logic, а у этой машины шкала спидометра увеличен с 330 км в час до 400 км в час.
Name a similar package you can get for less. There is none. And Lotus has been using outsourced engines with their modifications for a very very long time. This is probably the most complete Lotus experience you can get.

At that price range people will look at something else. Also you want me to name a fun sportscar that is much less expensive? Mustang GT 5.0 already comes to mind and it has a N/A V8 fully developed in-house. Want another one that feels complete package? The new Nissan Z with its twin turbo V6, and guess what? It's cheaper than this scam of Lotus
@@GuyRandomOne A key thing that is missing from all those is a car that handles basically without peer but also is rear mid-engine. That basically defines the character of the Lotus. All of those are fun as well, no doubt, but are not similar enough.

Everyone says that. But this engine never works properly, especially with the remap. Also. you can 500hp easily from the Toyota motor.
