Great idea hanging it on the wall. I'm curious if any differences for dust collection due to being sideways.
I teach a high school maker class (and chem) so I try to make it as easy as possible for a beginner to go from idea to physical prototype. I like the shaper origin CNC as it's probably the shortest learning curve for "CNC" and it takes up almost no space but can have a very large work area. Realistically though the larger pieces need setup and long blocks of time so the shaper isn't good for making a lot of something/larger parts. (it's human powered)
You have a very cool classroom. Are you teaching a CTE class or maker as well?

Thanks! I have the dust collector for it and it makes a huge difference, I’ll probably make a video in it, along with clamping.
I looked into the shaper for personal projects but not for school. In a school setting I think it would have its place, but is limited to what you can do, and like you mentioned, it needs time.
The Onefinity along with other non production machines I think gives more of a real world machining feel, and offers the most flexibility.
I teach introductory engineering courses, through project lead the way.
