Subaru Front Wheel Bearing Replacement
Replacing the Front Wheel Bearing assembly on my 2020 Subaru WRX STi. Pretty similar to almost every Subaru. Part number for the whole assembly is VKBA6896, VKBA7495, 513302, 28373FG010.
The link to get it on Amazon is amzn.to/4cU52aZ. It says it doesn't fit the STi, but it does.

    Had the same issue with my freezer door. I cut a piece of toilet paper tube, folded it couple times and sticked it in the hinge and voila, no more rubbing. Probably not a permanent solution so I'll look into the nylon spacer too.

    • @fixyourautomobile
      @fixyourautomobile 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You'll find the Evo rotor is dimensionally the same as the Mustang GT 14" rotor but has a less aggressive rotor offset. It sits closer to the hub center and gave me enough space to slide the 18Z caliper down in between rotor and spindle. I have to machine a massive amount of material out of the spindle, but I use very thick steel bushings to take up the space and allow the M16x1.5 custom length bolts to all line up. (Life hack: Evo X front rotors on rockauto are stupidly cheap for their size and amount of material. The more you spend the lighter the rotors will be once you go into the aluminum hat category. Otherwise they'll be heavy boi's)

      The windows we reframed, so you would level your sill plate like normal. The front door we had to reframe as well, pulled the header to move it up and re level that as well. It was a process, but it’s what we could do. We jacked the floors up as much as we could before we started creating other issues

    Can you learn some more about audio? It's all over the place. Being in a boxy room doesn't help, your voice bounces off the bare walls, Then you had the double up and you knew it was happening, but you never apologized to your viewers. Finally you moved away from the Mic and was talking away from it. A small tip: Try using a Lavalier Microphone. It should solve most of your problems, they aren't overly expensive unfortunately the only thing it can't fix is you. I'll admit I have a little hearing loss in my right ear, but you tend to mumble occasionally and some of your words get lost, mainly at the ends of your sentences. I guess it could be described of running out of steam. A little speech therapy would definitely help. I spent around 25 years in a TV newsroom and in that time I interviewed many would be reporters and news readers,. Lack of Enunciation was usually a problem, but it was easily remedied by therapy. Don't worry, it's a common problem and you're definitely not the only one .

    It takes way too long to make a panel like that perfect. They weren’t always even perfect from the factory. I would be satisfied with what you did. Your average body guy like me would’ve welded it, grinded the seam a bit, beat in the weld bead, and put bondo over it to make a perfect appearance. Lap welds are perfectly fine if the water runs down the back and they are tight together.

    While this is the basis of the subject, I would argue that inclination/declination is the term to use, not altitude. Also, the ground is only 0° if you are at 0 altitude. When elevated the horizon drop becomes evident. It's interesting to see flat Earthers trying to use this as flat Earth evidence.

    Much respect for making the effort to build your own table to your own taste. BUT! A couple small adjustments and you could have made it so much better (in my subjective opinion) First off, you should have painted the plywood underneath, "yea but its the bottom of the table no one is going to see it", sure, but because you made some interesting and unusual legs for it, people are naturally going to want to look under to have a better look at what they are. It doesnt need to be a good paint job, just a black spray coat to make it stand out less as an ugly piece of plywood. Second, for all the time and effort put in, and the obvious cost you must have payed to get the beefy hardware you used for the legs, to then cheap out on the paint job with both cost and effort, was disappointing. That paint is going to rub and flake off within weeks. If you didnt want to go to the cost and effort to prep the zinc coating properly for a paint job, you should have at least stripped the zinc off first, then your paint would have held up a lot better that just straight over the zinc. At 14:12 you can see it rub straight off with a light tap of a soft mallet. If you soaked the threaded rods and nuts in vinegar for a day or two, it would take the zinc coating off without you putting in any effort, and painting on bare metal will hold up significantly better with a good primer or a straight to metal paint. I dont say this as a dig at your work, on the contrary, i feel like you made a great project but you did 90% and dropped the ball on the last little bit that would have made it amazing. But that is just me, and i apologize if you dont take it that way and i just ended up offending you. Either way, great work man.

    • @ScienceMonkey00
      @ScienceMonkey00 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for watching! I thought about the bottom, and didn’t even know what to really do, but just straight up black is a great idea. Still easy enough to do. I didn’t even think about removing the zinc, I kinda figured when putting the nuts on some paint would wear off. The vinegar trick is another great idea. Definitely will keep that in mind for future builds. Thanks again for the constructive thoughts!
