That's not porpoising, that's the bumpiness of the road. It's not comfortable but these guys used to race over a literal railroad crossing tbf

Another slow, narrow, bumpy, point-and-squirt concrete canyon. I'll be happy if they can run half the race under green and have fewer than three red flags.
Alot of people said the same thing about Detroit this year and it actually was a good race with very precise passes and not alot of cautions.

Nashville will be the finale but the layout will be different. They still will be keeping the bridge in some sort of way.
There are so many amazing ovals in the USA, why they forcing this street circuit thing.... Indycar became world famous because of OVAL racing! To me, this looks like the Champ Cars in 2006, 2007
IndyCar became wirld famous due to such street circuits, which offer fantastic racing.

I really thought they would figure out a way to either change the layout entirely or drop the race completely. Concrete tunnel, yellow flag racing... yawn. You can't even record the race to watch when you're really bored because of all the yellow or red over runs.
Practice 1... I rest my case.
Actually, in 2024 the track will get a completely new layout and it will be the closing race of the season... sounds like good news 😊

I don't see the point of street circut's there's no runoff area's places to pass, etc. Fantastic equipment will be destroyed.
@deepinthewoods8078 yes exactly! I like that they're making it the finale next season. Laguna Seca is a beautiful track BUT it's been a yawn fest for a good while. Hopefully this year, it's a good race with plenty of drama.

Only reason the racing has ever been closer is because they have way more full course cautions that bunch everyone up 3-6 times during a race. If not for those indycar would be just as strung out
indycar is spec racing: "A spec series is a racing series where every driver races with the exact same car. The only modifications they can do is in the setup; things like camber, ride height, etc... In F1, teams build their own cars according to regulations which give them quite a bit of freedom to find their own solutions." - reddit.
@@canucklehead4463Nope. Close, but no cigar. IndyCar isn't quite a spec series because teams build their own shocks and there are two different engines.
Because of race courses like this(among other things), I'm losing my interest in Indycar.
What are you interested in instead
@@Cyogenic Not interested in F1 at all. Too much bickering, politicking, early am races for me, etc. I like MotoGP, but I can't see al the races. So who knows - I may be done with racing completely.

@@codymoe4986 You're probably right, but just for what it's worth, I'm not watching today's race, and I also cancelled Peacock. I also just read where next year's finale will be Nashville - that was the nail in the coffin for me. I'm done. So long guys.
