This is the best racing series i have ever seen. Im not into american racing but this series freshens things up with the reverse grid and the mandatory cautions. Thank you that i can watch this live from germany ❤️
Man Cleetus just can't ever catch a break. Ben Maier did a heckuva job out there to get his 2nd podium in 2 weekends. Overall great race, way better than yesterday. We definitely need the 2 cautions in order to make it competitive and close, one caution and you can see a driver run away with it all.
Cleetus getting flipped today was an actual race incident. Not like "I got no brakes!", yesterday. You could see the 55 get loose on acceleration, and the back end swung out, hitting the 1776, causing Cleetus to have to correct and it just snowballed from there.
watch race 1 replay (22:15 and on) in slow-motion. the hit was deep inside the curve, Cleetus just left no space for Max. w/e Max says about his brakes, he did turn and he was on the inside, stuck between the wall and 1776 car.

Agreed. Max was on a whole nother level of BS. 55 just came in a bit hot, which would’ve been fine, but they accidentally overcorrected which went directly into Cleetus. 55’s steering rack practically went from full right to full left.
You guys should invest in forward/rear facing cams for each truck, we had those views in NASCAR live decades ago. I understand they cost, just like timing devices, but it will make a more intense show. Watching the truck behind get on 3 wheels around a turn, the truck in front going stinkbug and jumps from inside will be awesome. You can show these views on the giant stadium screens too.
They don't do anything about max. Watch any race the kid is in and all he does is wreck people but somehow they defend him and let him back on the track
I saw this on Mcfarland's channel yesterday, didn't know this sport even existed. Is there a posted race schedule somewhere? Cleetus you got the skill, you just need some more races behind you. Do it for Dale!
Bumping is racing but I'd expect cleaner racing than that I mean it's one thing to grind some paint but to knowingly get back in it[55 truck].. too keep ur spot only to wreck the one in front of you cause a caution and end someones weekend only to be at the end of the pack, makes zero sense in my opinion

I don't watch enough of this to fully understand the rules. Every other type of motorsport I watch, if you cause a wreck, you're penalised for it. But here, yesterday the young fella wrecks someone, no penalty that I know about, and again here now, dude wrecked another guy, and keeps the W? Are they allowed to do it or something?
Yesterday's wreck occurred at the end of the race, and it was ruled accidental. Today's wreck, Gavin Harlien was penalized and forced to start at the back after the first caution. He raced his way back up to the lead.

SST is exciting to watch when the field is tight. Would Cleetus / 1776 have run a great race if not out front from the start ? Once the pressure was on, starting at the 14 min. mark, 1776 started to make mistakes. I think they call that "driving over your head" ? 1776 appeared to start that personal battle after running wide, then turning back in front of 55. 55 and 1776 both contributed to the accident. That's racing... then 83 brake checked 55 after the checker flag ? WTF (Race driver ego) PS: Followed Robby Gordon Social Page here, not Cletus. But a Cletus SST event in FL would be a place to run year around on TH-cam. A lot less expensive running a dedicated track in FL, promoted on TH-cam vs traveling GP events. Maybe do both ? You could set up better video footage and create a quality experience with a set schedule people can plan around.
Is it me or these truck are same model and make? Why only one type of truck there’s only one company able to make a tough truck that’s sad.Like too see some other brands/company’s get into this sport but when Gordon is king can’t expect any others getting in to this sport but what he wants
I would recommend that after you have a mandatory caution that you restart the top 3 SINGLE FILE. I think that would have maybe prevented a truck being upside down.
Ol' boy announcing was all over Max yesterday about the way he was driving and acted like Max was lying about his brakes. Harlien slams Cletus and he barely said a word. Don't let your bias show like that, it makes you look like a hypocrite. Love this series, this is seat of your pants driving st it's best. 1:1 steering, short wheelbase, miles of suspension travel and 650 hp. Oh hell yeah!!

Some of these big name ego drivers give more respect to each others racing lines in the corners then they do old Cleeter and that is a fact. Respect to Garrett for showing them how quick he his as a SST rookie. But the regulars want to soak it up a bit and just realize they are not that quick, rubbings racing but that 55 needs a penalty.
If the 55 wouldn't have stayed in the throttle he wouldn't have took Cletus out who cares how much oil and gear oils all over that corner if he got out the throttle that truck would not have tail with the way it had that's no excuse
One day Cleetus will finish a race. Seems there was some oil on the track that made things slick and lead to the wreck today. Not much you can do when you're driving on oil.

You can cause a wreck in nascar and truck series with no penalty. Happens all the time.
