Not to take anything away from Sato because he definitely deserved to win but I'd have loved it if Chilton had won. Mainly because he was an undeserved punchline in F1 and with all those people there to watch because of Alonso, that would have been the perfect middle finger to those who ridiculed him.
When Castroneves took lead the commentator excitedly started screaming but when Sato took lead he was monotone... how BIASED was that? That commentator needs to be talked to. Any case, great race and congrats Andretti and Sato...job well done!
Then don't watch it and leave the real racing to everyone else. If you can be that amused by a pitiful sports car sprint you can be amused by anything.

+Thunder Thank you for writing, but I don't think that's right. Sato was pushed inside not outside, and Sato himself said he slipped on the paint on the line, and that his mistake was trying to line on the line rather than diving in or staying out of it.
That was one of the BEST Indy 500 races I've ever seen. Congrats to Takuma Sato and Michael Andretti with a great team. You've earned this. Hats off to Castroneves, he gets credit for making this race just as good and gave Sato a good run. And shows he's a good sport giving Sato a thumbs up as he drives by. Great race.
MoparMuscle77 The first 10-12 years of the Brickyard 400 the race was sold out or near sellout. Even the Indianapolis 500 was always near sell out. Crowds were bigger for both before the 2000's.

That was a hell of a run Sato got coming off four he set that pass up perfect. I think he caught Helio off guard by making his move early with 5 left.
