HUGE F1 fan. I’ve watched it for over 35yrs, but there was more action in this race, than half our season. We need Indy in the UK 🇬🇧
The middle 60 laps (between the first 10 and the last 10) was absolute classic Indycar road / street racing . Multiple fuel strategies, multiple tires strategies, blend battles; it's not for everyone BUT I absolutely love this stuff.
Big credit to this excellent field of drivers. Everyone expected Crashville part III and instead mass of carnage we got a classic Indycar street race.

as someone who knows the area very well
i’m actually thinking the new layout for next year will be a banger, even if it has half the corners it has compared to now, it’ll minimize crashes

Someone help me out here. The alternate tires that are green are what between the primary and sticker reds?
They are the reds. They just use a more sustainable sidewall rubber for street tracks.
No, the greens are a softer compound, designed to be faster in lap times, but wear out faster. They also use a side wall made with guayule rubber.
The "greens" and the "reds" are the same compound, they just renamed it for environmental marketing reasons. And now it's made in a more sustainable way.
Again, no. They are two separate compounds. I don’t know why indycar deleted my link. But search it. Greens use a softer compound that touches the surface.
