You know what's funny? I'm mid-fourties, I've never dyed my hair in my life, and even I know all about FINE SECTIONS thanks to these wonderfully entertaining and funny videos.
I keep seeing people do the roots first and I’m like I thought you do those last…? Since the hair is closest to your scalp, it’ll be heated by your skin …
I love your videos (mostly, I love your comments). I guess I don't really understand all these folks who want to change their natural hair. This lady's natural hair is just lovely and fits her skin tones so well.
Honestly, I understand that it may be costly to go to the hairdresser but it's FREE to investigate & learn some simple basics of bleaching! And NOT the day before an important event!!!! Love your videos HB! 'DONT USE COCONUT OIL' Edit: (who's she?)
In the past, if I needed to bleach my roots, or am changing colors which take a few days. What I do is keep on hand dark brown temporary hair color that washes out in one wash. That makes it so I can go out if I need to, without looking crazy.
I don't understand why people on TH-cam that do their own hair at home never do it in quadrants, then wonder why the back breaks off while the front is still brown. Do a quadrant, leave it for half an hour, wash it off, do the next quadrant! Also a lot a lot a lot more bleach.
And if they don’t wanna wash their hair and dry it in between sections, all they have to do is use a very low volume bleach on the back/1st sections and then use a slightly stronger bleach on the front. Like a seven volume on the back and a 20 on the front.
This is why a couple of years back now, I switched to bleach baths for either removing color or getting my regrowth. I use BlondeMe and Ion's Oloplex dupe along with purple shampoo as my mixture. I do it in the shower so as soon as I think my hair is where I want it, I can rinse and stop the process. I find because of the shampoo, my results are nearly perfect, if not perfect. Because I've been using XMondo's Super Red for the last 6 months or so, I can just focus on the regrowth, and don't need it pale yellow. I've also been taking collogen supplements for about a month now. I plan on continuing to not just help my skin, but my hair too ( ◜‿◝ )♡
Bleach baths work well. I have salt n pepper hair, it took out a lot of old toner but I may have do a repeat. Only left it on for about 30 seconds. Hair Buddha gives great advice.
i did try bleach baths on the purple but it didn’t do much , actually that’s when i got the green , this was the first time it didn’t come out with one , i had used a semi permanent black dye
@@unnamedroad Her hair is visibly wavy, as soon as she started to brush it out it became more frizzy. It is damaged but if she tried to scrunch it while wet and not brush it when dry it would've looked so much better.
While having white-silver-purple-green hair on lengths I wouldn't be bleaching new growing hair. I would prefer to wait and cut so damaged lengths and never do that horrible look to myself again. I think that when we are going to change hair color we should think about not only how it would look on us but would it be easy to get rid of it later (changing color for darker/lighter, trying other colors frequently, will my hair handle those changes). I wish people would realize that when their hair is healthy and their natural hair color it looks so much better than damaged fried bleached hair 😭 Edit: I had no idea some people would get so furious by my opinion that people look beautiful the way they are with their natural hair color. 👀
Maybe, but some of us dislike our natural hair color or think it is boring and want something more interesting. If I was naturally a Targaryen blonde (I use to be as a child) or a spicy redhead (like my grandma) or had raven black locks (like my mom), then I'd keep my natural hair, lol 😂.

You’re right! That’s what the license is for! The state doesn’t care if you can cut proper layers but you’re required to understand chemical use. I feel like a lot of people forget that.
But, these days, with the internet, you can self-educate. The reason these girls are messing up so badly is because they're not self-educating. They don't have to be a professional hair-stylist in order to do a decent job, they just need to educate themselves, but they don't - they just go into it all willy nilly, without learning properly.

A bit off topic but many years ago I asked my stylist how light she thought I could go with my naturally almost jet black hair. She said, “With your skin-tone I wouldn’t go any lighter than a dark, dark, coffee brown.” I was disappointed but took her advice. Months later I bought an inexpensive wig in the light honey blonde I still wanted. I put the wig on and gasped. IT. LOOKED. HORRIBLE. The wig itself was lovely but the colour looked terrible on me. My skin looked washed out, my eyes looked dull. I looked ill. I should add that I’d bleached/coloured my hair a darker blonde at home several years previous to that. It was a fail but thankfully not severely damaged. Turns out it wasn’t the colour range for me anyway.

Heavens above. Buzz cut would suit her pretty face. Her hair and scalp needs a rest.
Hey at least it wasn't T18😅😅😅😅
