It blows my mind how confident people are . They really think one color, no help and voila it all turns out even and she even wished for ombré. It’s just fairy thinking. Fantastical. Cracks me up all the same. Hair Buddha I now bleach ( blond me) and tone my short hair myself . It turns out so much better than years gone by. Thank you for the knowledge! 🇺🇸❤️

In the first video, the product she used does show on the back of the box what the color will look like on different levels of hair. It says, "This shade is not advised on blondes. Try a lighter shade." and the resulting color shown for light brown hair does look rather red as opposed to purple! Also, the Colorista product she used is permanent, that's why it had a strong smell. There are many products in the Colorista range including 1-day color, demi permanent, and semi permanent, and they have so many shades, including various shades of purple that aren't reddish. She chose a dark, vibrant, permanent color meant for brown hair, applied it all the way up her head, then was surprised when it dyed the top of her head and came out vibrant! It's like some people think hair color is magic and will just dye where you envision it and look exactly like the photoshopped model on the box!
I don't think it looked too bad I don't care for burgundy but I think with the right makeup she can make it work imo.
Some people don't think analytically and rationally. They have an idea, don't think about the process, don't search up actual professional tutorials, just do it as fast as they can, sloppy process with horrific results, and then blame the products. It's simply impulsiveness followed by ignorance, followed by impatience followed by externalizing inner guilt. I've seen this pattern a lot
I'm baffled that she is pointing out all the stain on her face but doesn't grab a cloth to wipe it off🤷♀️
Your vids stopped me from bleaching my hair by myself..going crazy every few years. I bought already everything, nevertheless I will not do it. Made an appointment at the hairdresser today! So THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOU SAVED MY HAIR❤❤❤❤

Always entertained! And even though I would not bleach or color my hair at home I always learn something. I wanted highlights years ago. This was pre internet days. So I'm aging myself here. But it was a patchy disaster. I learned that I do not have the skills to color my own hair. Had a friend that was a hairdresser and we did a lot of fun things to my hair. She knew what she was doing and it always turned out great.
I don't understand why people who have access to the internet and all of the information out there don't use it. But it keeps us with constant new content. So there's that.😊

My week has started great. Hair Buddha and his amazing voice for hair shenanigans.
Dear hair Buddha, people do not understand advanced color theory ( re-pigmentation) and in a way that is a good thing! hopefully they will end up in the salon!
I always used boxed purple dye on my dark hair and have never had bad results. I just recently used Clairol Metallic Purple to cover my now salt and pepper hair and it turned out wonderful. I have always kept my hair super short and grew out the dye in between applying more so my hair didn't get damaged by over dyeing so much. Most box dyes have color charts on them that show what results to expect from your shade of hair here in the US.
I don't know what Colorista she is using but I use it all the time and it has no bad odor and certainly doesn't look like that mess.

That last young lady has beautiful texture and thankfully didn't destroy it. A hair fail in that she didn't achieve her goal but she still has her hair.
I have natural white/Platinum hair. Once a month I use a purple shampoo to wash out the water deposits. This is so much fun to watch. Texas, USA.

I have rosasia and i have been a ash brown coloring girl for years and i finnaly gave in to the red my hair seems to love. and i look way less red now. it is summer though, but gotten compliments and i love my hair being a lil extra ^^ big plus is red destroys gray roots

I have medium skin tone and get a bit reddish in the cheeks in summer but I love my copper hair I am a natural brunette medium brown but I prefer copper hair on me especially since I'm getting grey it's a light color which is easier to disguise greys. I wear aloT of black clothes and I like how it looks, with the copper hair.🧡
Lol. What timing! I'm a natural blonde and did a purple, to maroon, to scarlet fade just yesterday! (I was feeling adventurous!) Overall, it came out decently, but a friend is helping me tidy up the transition zones.
My purple looks VERY purple. Is that because I'm just staining unbleached hair, or because I picked a bluer violet? I was a bit confused about that part.
My mom once bought blonde hair dye from a box. Someone switched the dyes and her hair became black.

As a natural redhead, the part when these people reach ginger and act like its the ugliest colour in the world, shrieking and laughing at how it looks, really grinds my gears!! That gingery colour was a damn site nicer than the muddy mauve she ended up with!!
I wish I was a natural red head I pay 60 quid every six weeks to have gorgeous copper hair, and sadly it fades fast. Such a underrated colour the most vibrant and beautiful!
@@sophlee09xhave you tried using the moroccan oil color depositing conditioner? To keep it vibrant? It won't do regrowth of course but it will work defense on the fading
Ginger's are unicorns in this world. You are a rare gem girl! Dont mind people like her. These people have bad taste or just jealous.
Because it's "cooler" to be cool and "grungy" in they're mind. Most of them are also warm toned which doesn't suit them as much and absolutely hate any warmth. Ginger was the best choice for both of them, but preferred to have muddy results.

On the Colorista violet box, it says to not use it on blonde hair and to try a lighter shade.

I considered going red( a dark red), but not if it will make my face look much more red than usual. I colour my hair a brown colour, but I'm so bored with it...oh well I guess I need to just love it lol. I will not bleach as I love my hair, and it's past my butt.

I died my hair with a purple box dye because I wanted something permanent. It was meant for brown hair and it still turned my brown hair red. But the blonde pieces I have were definitely red. I didn't mind I'm extremely pale so so it looked nice.

It never occured to her that she should wipe the color off of her skin - And that was least egregious act she commited.
The color charts on box dye,is for hair that's never been dyed before, so that's why most people don't get the color chart results.
The first color is no so bad I think with the roots colored to match it will be very cute I would try a deep lip color to match the violet in the hair it's really not too bad.💜

I remember many years ago I was going to a fancy dress as the bride of Dracula and wanted to dye my hair black. It said on the box to do a hair test by cutting a bit off from under the hair on the back of your neck. How glad I was that I did as it turned out purple, it was supposed to be raven black!

I'm natural blonde and basically colored my hair copper, red, burgundy, purple, pink and all these red colors all my life. I believe my skin is actually very red (especially with blonde hair), but everyone always told me I look good with red hair and it suits me. So now I'm confused. Do I not have red skin then?? But it's always so rosy and I blush easily... 😟
I'm the same way - very fair and cool toned, and rusty reds look great on me. BUT, I'm blessed with very good skin. He might be talking more about redness from acne or rosacea or whatnot. Instead of just being rosy everywhere, your blotchy areas are more obvious.
Side note - I JUST dyed my hair purple and maroon. I look way more yellow. It's weird. 😶
Most natural blondes have pink undertones in their skin.
What about natural white hair? Would purple work? If someone is “salt n pepper” would the purple only tint the white?

Anytime I see a person with a home dye kit AND Ombre, I just shake my head and say “good luck”. There is a very good reason your hair dresser took five hours.😂
Hair Budda, I've had omber purple with money highlights since feb, the hair dresser didn't bleach me first. The color didn't stay as long as it did when I had saphire blue omber last June. My hair is ash blonde naturaly with white streaks. I will only do a bleach first if I do this again. So sometimes bleaching enchances the staying color. Just my take-Thanks❤
The first lady, at least its red and not bright purple. Ny theory about my own hair is if i don't like it, it will grow back.

i dyed my hair aubergine once when i still went to school. must have been 14 or 15 then. it looked quite good, but i have brown hair to begin with, so it was nice and dark.

I just dyed mine purple yesterday!
I don't know about repigmant lf pre pigment. But I had jet black hair. Bleached it. To what the second girl had before she put colour into it. And I used Revelation Beauty brunet hair toner in plum ( purple) and my hair looked purple. Visible purple. I later on the next touch up did a bleach bath to get my roots too at he same time and to make it gentle but even than spotty and I did the same ( obliviously my hair is now lighter ) and I used the same products and it's purple. I've done it now like this several times over 2 years but careful not to always do the bleach bath on lenghs now but on the roots and only and then a lesser developer for between root and 2 inches like between the two to get a gradient/even like the last15-20 mins and then I wash all off and colour and it works fine for me. Purple hair. Not red. I'm guessing this has to do also with the type of product and it's base note. As with the revolution beauty hair tonner (for brunettes but I use bleached hair) it's purple no blue. So when I bleach u don't have any blue hair. Ive bought a different brand once that was a dark purple thinking might be nice to do a root shadow but luckily I used it at the back to test and didn't like it and that when u do a full head bleach bath and remove your hair back to blond it was blue😅
The only bleach I like using is Blondeme Schwarzkopf with their cream developer that says 9 shades. It doesn't leave my have dry like straw but healthy. N lifts fast and several shades. Unlike Jerome Russell's boxed bleach. Only his shampoo in there is really good at washing off the bleach off your hair so a unbleached hair shaft ready to colour nice and soft.

I ask my sister to bleach my hair once every 6 months.
Rotate between Red, Blue & Purple, because they're my favourite colours or any combination of all three 🤭🤣😎🏴
To use Crazy Color you realy need a platinum blonde or it will not be pretty... i know, been using it for over 8 years 😂 but the difference is that my hair isn't fried 😅
Just bleached mine 🤣but I used 20 volume and bleach powder then toned with a 10 volume. It's not as light as I want but workable for a few weeks then I'll repeat. I started at a level 7
Just throw some blue on that 12:34 orange. It won’t be light ash blonde. It will be a gorgeous ash. I do like the mauve.

I fell afowl of the violet box dye when i was a teenager and it turned very, very red. but when i popped some blue black on top it went a nice purple colour. This was only semi perm colour with no lightening so it was a dark purple (my hair is brown). But it was still pretty good. But its colour theory.... It was too red so i popped something with a blue tone over it to make it more purple toned.
We call that technique the "Scoop and Dump". I blame this technique for the spots of burgundy on my creme color bathroom wall. Turns out semi-permanent only applies to hair and not matte wall paint!

Typical people with sloppy technique like: no sectioning, apply hair dye everywhere,not reading or understand instructions tends to blame the product.

After watching dozens of these, 99% of these people simply can't follow instructions. They do something vaguely like, and even know they aren't doing what they ought, and then wishful thinking can't make it what they want.
I have lost track of how many times I've hard them say I will regret this. It seems there are many people out to self sabotage their own hair. And video it.....
I did not fail my bleach cos I took FINE sections 😁 and was already natural blonde so 🥳🥳
