I love how people with uneven hair expect toner to fix things. Toner isn't a heat seaking missle. It can't find the orange or yellow hair and neutralize them specifically. All toner is is a veeeery sheer wash of color. It can help blend but it's not magic. I think that's part if the reason that the wella toners are popular with at home bleach enthusiasts. Thanks to Hair Buddha I went and got mine done. I got a platinum balayage on my dark brown hair. That’s just how light he went. However, I was at the sink for over an hour with all the treatments they did on me. Yes, the end have been trimmed now, but with the hair mask they had me get, it looks just fine. THAT is why I refuse to bleach my hair on my own. I’ve colored it myself, but I won’t bleach it myself ever!
Bleaching hair at home, when you aren't a hairstylist, is suicide in my opinion. You can always tell whether a hairstylist has done the job, or clairol visited.
I don't think a lot of people who go platinum don't have the skin color that compliments it. For all the work and damage to hair it amazes me that they do it at home! It seems that those who go to salons and get it done seem to get it all right, skin matching the hair etc. Because good colorist will usually point you in the right direction. I loved mine. She always had the best ideas for me. Sometimes things i never would've never tried or thought of, crazy out box stuff. Oh how i miss her! 💜✌
I think lots of people choose to go platinum at home because of how expensive it is in a salon or because lots of hairstylist push the "natural" colors on you(the reason I stopped going to proffesionals for a while). I remember the place I used to go before the pandemic used to try tone my platinum blond hair more and more natural(I personally dislike all browns/caramels so much, I'd rather shave my head and the stylist knew, but kept insisting natural hair colors will make me more "feminine"). I now have a stylist who does my hair hair the way I want it, with white-platinum lenghts and fashion color roots. This is my personal experience, but I bet a lot of platinum sisters have had similar situations.
I totally agree with you Hair Buddha! The colour of her hair before she started was so much better and suited her more! I guess she had to learn the hard way like most do! Leave it to the professionals and trust your hairdresser more! 😊
Another great video. And I agree it did look better the first time around though it didn't look terrible at the end. I prefer more natural colors myself now. I feel too old for all the bold colors now. I used to have a different color hair weekly when I was younger but the upkeep is ridiculous as well as damaging. I would love to have mine professionally done a nice natural color just to cover the gray at this point. Maybe one day. Wishing all who read this a wonderful day 💜
As much as I like the look of the movie version of Daenereys, the Targaryens from the book had 'silver golden' hair, not platinum, not white silver, not blond silver, it was GOLDEN silver, which means some warm tones if I am not mistaken?
I also prefer natural colours much more. I don't understand this fixation on platinum blonde, it's a very extreme and difficult colour to wear, and certainly not for everyone.A good golden brown blonde is beautiful, and in my opinion, it makes you much more youthful.
Maybe if people called it white instead of platinum blonde, then maybe way less people will try to get not natural white hair. So dry color. Plus a lot of people think that they can have completely “platinum” hair and have healthy hair. Which we know can’t happen if it’s not naturally white.
I really don't understand the obsession with platinum blonde. I think it's a difficult colour to pull off, and it leaves the hair looking pretty damaged. Luckily, I'm olive skinned, with dark hair and dark eyes, and know 100% that I would look like a complete knobhead with platinum hair. Therefore, I have absolutely no desire to bleach my hair that colour.
Her hair color is gorgeous in the beginning. Reminds me of someone at the beach with the color and style. I have very long hair but HATE my natural hair color. It's dull and lifeless. But it's so long, I don't want it to get damage! Edit: Ues, I prefer natural haor color as well. I think some colors would be fun to have, but just strictly speaking about brunette, blonde, and red, I like the natural looking colors.
I think Hair Buddha explained on a video once that hair starts going yellow as it tries to repair itself. So keeping that in mind, it seems very possible that her hair might start looking more natural on its own as it evens itself out. I think she’ll be fine!

Save up and get a good balyage a few times a year, but you're never going to have shiny platinum hair from a box or bad bleach job. Unless you're starting on virgin hair that's medium blonde to begin with you'll be disappointed. Also the upkeep is a pain in the booty. Love the channel 🥰

What frightens me is all the chemicals that are being applied time after time....😱 ....I agree with others on this. The original shade of blonde was much nicer and the different colour tones gave it a bit of dimension. Watching this makes me so glad that I have finally let mother nature do her thing. In my case, she's proved to be the best colour matcher out there. 🙌🤗
I don't see the point in her bleaching all of it. She is light enough, and her hair has perfect depth like it is. I think it is really pretty. I also blame the Targaryans. It is such an unrealistic expectation since those are wigs. I love copper too! I went copper a few months ago. It is a golden copper (light auburn). It doesn't fade like other reds, and the warm reflects flatter aging skin.
I listen to you! I did go platinum (at the salon) in one sitting. But it was sooo not my color. I wish she'd have talked to me about about colors and skin tone, etc before she took it to platinum tho. I did like it after it after I grew roots out. I wound up cutting the dead white hair off at home when they hit my shoulders lol. I didn't overdirect tho!😊
After many botched bleach attempts I turned my hair strands to caramel consistency. Toning turned it purple. I had very short hair and finally achieved super white blonde, only to realise it didn't suit me and I'd have to go through the process again weeks after. I'm now back to natural brunette and my hair is still in shock, recovering 😅
I had a hard enough time cutting my daughter's hair when she got gum in it near the roots in the back. I did a pixie cut, it turned out ok, but definitely would not attempt to cut my own hair
I used to have a few clients that always wanted to risk things with their hair. I did have some of them sign a waiver if they really insisted in the work to be done. I would also include something that says it's not allowed to call it my work etc. It was fun everytime to be honest, twice we ended in pixie cuts
I love that beautiful warm blond she already had, thought poor Buddha was gonna have a stroke when she started bleaching Buddha "Why does everyone want to go platinum? I blame the Targaryn's," 🤣🤣🤣🥰
There was a girl I played in an orchestra with as a teen that was naturally red headed and tried to go blonde. Her school told her she had to either go fully blonde or stay red (we were both at all girls schools in Scotland). She came back the next week with the most hideous platinum blonde hair do, it never suited her and took months for it to grow out.
As somebody who literally lives every day with platinum blonde hair, It is not easy even for somebody with the shortest hair possible like me to upkeep and I've been doing this for over 20 years now. Please, ladies with long hair go get a professional to do your hair 🙏 ❤️ Quit wasting time and money..
I'm listening you😢 i know it's so sad people make same mistake even when you explain how to DIY/cut hair right, but i believe many people listening you and use your advice. I don't get why all these girls practically want Platinum hair it's kind of like old lady gray hair natural blonde shades are beautiful and make them look younger ❤ thankyou for another wonderful video sending you and your family love and light always 💖
Very pretty girl with gorgeous hair. I don't get her platinum obsession either. My mom bleached her own hair out platinum for years starting back in the 60s when I was a kid. I always thought she was much too pale to go that far, and her hair always looked like cotton candy even though she conditioned it from time to time. It just never looked pretty to me, though God knows we never told her that. On top of that, my mom never wore makeup, making her look that much more pale. I was looking at her old pictures, and back in her high school years, she had looked so much better with the more natural golden shades of blond hair.
Blonde dysmorphia is real. I’m not making fun of anyone. I don’t get the platinum obsession either, it can be nice but it’s not the optimal color for everyone. I liked the more natural, warm blonde on her.
I don't understand how so many of these girls refuse to believe that "nobody can get me to platinum" is NOT the same as "nobody can get me to platinum in one day for less than $200". 🙄 Trust the professionals, people!!
And no one seems to understand that going platinum is a multiple session process. It’s expensive but maintenance isn’t any cheaper. It never gets cheaper. Maintenance!
You can take slices without weaving highlights just a straight section of hair and put into foils to get the heat on double process then do your roots once it's lifted

It is such an unrealistic expectation since those are wigs. I love copper too! I went copper a few months ago. It is a golden copper (light auburn). It doesn't fade like other reds, and the warm reflects flatter aging skin.
I love Buddha expressions. This is not going to go well.
That is a prime example of why you should pay the cash and go to a professional Hairdressers .
💯💯💯
I had one experience with a hairdresser who started on my hair and to insult my hair cut and asked who cut it before and it was her😂😂😂
I listen to you!
Now she knows why it costs 300$ and takes more than one process…..I guarantee she has spent just as much at Sally’s.
I'm here I'm listening, thanks for explaining what happens and why it goes wrong. 🥰
Hi hair Buddha! I’m listening!,, had blonde hair for years which I loved BUT I decided I’d grow old gracefully, so went back to my natural colour,
Hair Buddha, I would love to see a video either you doing color, so we can see the right way!! :)) ❤
Platinum blonde is almost like a status symbol. Everyone knows it’s expensive to achieve and maintain. But yeah, also Targaryens
She kinda got lucky. It was way better than I expected!
In a week at the latest she will have a new occurrence. 🫣
I think it looked better at the beginning colour wise. It suited her a lot better. What a shame 😞
Hair Buddha totally called the "Drake Malfloyd" results! 😂
You gotta have nightmares about these girls screwing up. Love your reactions 😂
I had a hard enough time cutting my daughter's hair when she got gum in it near the roots in the back. I did a pixie cut, it turned out ok, but definitely would not attempt to cut my own hair
Oil would have removed that and a quick google search would have told you that
You hacked your daughters hair out of sheer laziness and spite
Lololol.. this guy makes me laugh so bad as he watches these girls!! I get a real kick out of this!! ❤
Exactly warm blonde dark roots , platinum definitely not for her!!
Love love your insightful opinion 🫠🫶🙌☝️
I used to have a few clients that always wanted to risk things with their hair. I did have some of them sign a waiver if they really insisted in the work to be done. I would also include something that says it's not allowed to call it my work etc. It was fun everytime to be honest, twice we ended in pixie cuts
I love your content! Hope you had a happy birthday!!
His face at 14:51 when she says as her last resort she's going to sally's XDDD I LOLed
Im team platinum 😂 I've also had to shave my head twice. That being said I'm not attached to my hair.
Thanks for a new, funny video 💚
I love that beautiful warm blond she already had, thought poor Buddha was gonna have a stroke when she started bleaching
Buddha "Why does everyone want to go platinum?
Absolutely!
@@G-Star-Raw right! or we walk around looking crazy with straw textured hair 😅🤦♀️
@@G-Star-Raw 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Im a bleach blonde and will never change. Come on blonde is the best look ever.
I'm listening you😢 i know it's so sad people make same mistake even when you explain how to DIY/cut hair right, but i believe many people listening you and use your advice. I'm DIY my friend hair a week ago and use your tips. I believe i would damage her hair or make stain if never watch you. But i do a great job and she happy with result! So don't think you waste time when explain all this stuff😊 tyvm😊
Oooooo, it can ALWAYS get worse!! Now, that's optimism gor you!!😂
I don't get why all these girls practically want Platinum hair it's kind of like old lady gray hair natural blonde shades are beautiful and make them look younger ❤ thankyou for another wonderful video sending you and your family love and light always 💖
I know right; it's like they want to look old before their time.
510 5:35 Famous last words 🙈
Is platinum the same as suicide blonde? Loved that NXS song!
Yes, Ma’am. Dyed by her own hand. Crunchy white blonde hair.
I agree that her color at the beginning suited her best.
Great adviice Hair Buddha and Im loving your humour 😅
Blonde dysmorphia is real. I’m not making fun of anyone. I don’t get the platinum obsession either, it can be nice but it’s not the optimal color for everyone. I liked the more natural, warm blonde on her.
It’s not real
When that Wella T18 came out I made the same face as he did!!! 😂 🤦🏼♀️
I love how popular you are now, smashing it hair Buddha!
I'm a retired hairdresser and cringe when you do Hair Buddha 😉🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦love your videos from South Africa
I blame the Targaryen’s!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She's going to fry her hair more.. Glad Budda said her hair is already fried... I hope she sees Buddhas clip.
"Ohhhhh, oh, oh oh it can always get worse" 😂
“I blame the Targaryens” ❤️❤️❤️
I don't understand how so many of these girls refuse to believe that "nobody can get me to platinum" is NOT the same as "nobody can get me to platinum in one day for less than $200". 🙄 Trust the professionals, people!!
"I blame the Targaryens" bahahahahahaha
And no one seems to understand that going platinum is a multiple session process. It’s expensive but maintenance isn’t any cheaper. It never gets cheaper. Maintenance!
Has she heard. "Trimm the ends." Just wait to go to the hairdresser.
" Yes, you had two choices; now you have one. " 😂
You can take slices without weaving highlights just a straight section of hair and put into foils to get the heat on double process then do your roots once it's lifted
Insulting Draco!😤 Avada Kedavra'! Lol 🤣🤣
🤪Shes incredibly 'special'🤯🤠
