    When travelling i always find it fun to do some type of side quest challenge to really make it interesting, fun and to push myself so i'm glad you did something i would definately do. Its such a coincedence that you did a 7 hills challenge as i also walked the 7 hills in Rome last October. Mine didn't have the nature and peace that you did as it was just walking around the city streets visiting really cool historical sites in between and getting lost a lot. But i always say you never get lost but instead get to see a lot more.

    I live near Glasgow and I’ve wanted to go up Arthur’s seat for a while. I watched your last vlog on Monday and it inspired me to finally go for it and I climbed up Arthur’s seat myself on Tuesday!! I love watching how you’ve challenged yourself so much over the years and grown so much as a result. That’s what I’m doing too 🥰❤️

    You’re really lucky with the time you went to Arthur’s seat 😂 when I went on Tuesday the weather was really nice so it was packed! Hardly any space to stand at the top and there were so many big groups taking pictures at the 2 ‘monuments’ so I didn’t take one. The grassy areas and the lake were quiet and really peaceful though 🥰

    So glad I came across this. I'm headed to Scotland in early December to celebrate my 40th. I wanted to get some runs in (maintenance miles) but that's really dependent on weather. I can deal with rain, but if it's slick I don't want to risk spraining an ankle and ruining a trip I've waited 25 years for, and not being able to run my 5th marathon when I get home.

    I like green/greenish bananas, as they’re not too soft. Once they’re fully yellow/getting brown I’m not as keen. Though me and my family are big banana fans so unless the bananas are too far gone I won’t say no

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      no I do get that! I prefer my bananas when they’ve just turned yellow, but em loves them sporty and riper … but each to their own!

Now I have a rather awkward question for Holly and the more experienced people in the comment section: if you go on a full day of hiking in the mountains, how do you appraoch...the, um, toilet problem? • @nostalgia545
    @nostalgia545 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m glad Holly is traveling and having fun after working so hard, but I feel like she should try to get a real job at a company, because the longer you stay out of the workforce the harder it is to get back in and TH-cam won’t last forever.

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      not everyone needs to work for a company and get a ‘traditional’ job. I work online, have different income sources and most importantly, I’m loving what I’m doing!

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don’t need to justify this, but I work really hard and whilst it may look like I’m just ‘having fun’ . . . I do a lot of work behind the scenes and a lot of my ‘work’ allows me to love life doing what I enjoy most!
      side note: you’ll be surprised at how much work is done online these days! as I said before, why should everyone therefore just follow a stereotypical route (rhetorical)?

    • @nostalgia545
      @nostalgia545 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HollyGabrielle Hello Holly! I’m sorry what I said was offensive. I extremely understand that online work is hard and time consuming. It takes hours to edit videos and plan. My only point was that in the future it might benefit a lot to continue with biology and to get employment. I can’t predict the future but I hope that TH-cam continues to grow as a platform. I just wanted to suggest continuing with biology since you worked so hard. I completely believe that your work is hard and time consuming.

    • @HollyGabrielle
      @HollyGabrielle  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nostalgia545 I wasn’t offended and none of us can predict the future! I have way too many interests so I know I’ll always be doing lots of different things (and e.g. with biology I still tutor and have HollyGemia, I have ByHollyG and know I want to do more with science communication but again I plan to do it remotely and off my own back (we don’t always have to work for somebody else)). The balance of things I do may change in different stages of my life (and I always have back up plans), but if someone is happy and can live off what they’re doing . . . that shouldn’t be a problem!
