    It's a shame that I'm the only one who left a comment here.

      Apparently I had some type of restriction on for comments. I had no idea! I always wondered why this video had no comments with 80K views 😂

    can I not do with without the illustration rendering node?

    • @Tradigital

      Not sure what you are asking here. Are you wondering if you can get the same effects without buying the shader then I will say no. It is a quite complex shader and recreating it will probably be quite difficult

      Hey, this is an old tutorial. You’ll need to watch my most recent one to understand how to use the shader in its new form.

    I recently purchased Illustration Shader 3.0, and I must say, I love the effect. But I prefer the Illustrated Rendering node group that you show in this video for applying brushstrokes over objects. I'm particularly excited about this as I plan to incorporate camera movement into my project. Is there any chance of gaining access to that version as well?
    Additionally, I'm curious about enhancing the visibility of projected shadows. I'm using it for animated characters, and it would be fantastic if the Illustrated Rendering node group could take into account the varying light conditions on different parts of the object throughout the animation.
    Your insights on these matters would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you!

      Hey! So sorry for reaching out so late. I didn’t see this comment till today. I am actually currently working on an update that I believe will give you the results you are after with both the camera movement and shadow issue. The only problem is that blender is currently a bit limited on its capabilities that I want to use for this type of tool. I’m waiting on a blender update with cache and baking support that I believe will be the answer to the issues I’ve been running into.
      Trust me, there is a lot on this tool that I need to update and it is coming soon! Sorry for the wait.

    is there any way to switch the texture brush to a different texture like watercolors of chalk.

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So sorry, I just saw this question. Yes you can! You just need to change out the brush strokes texture used. It is a group of 36 alphas all in a 6/6 grid. You should see it in the image editor.

    Amazing just absolutely amazing!!! This is exactly what my animation is missing!!!!
    Im making a Short movie and its a sad one. I want everything to look blurry but look pleasing to the eye ! And this is perfect!
    I just have one small question and i hope this comment reaches you!
    I'm gonna buy the shader. When i went to the website i saw 2 licenses, one for commercial and one for non commercial.
    Here's the thing im worried about:
    My TH-cam channel is small and i don't earn income from it and the animation im making is personal.
    So my question is what if one day i was able to monetize my videos and earn money from that animation on youtube. Would that be a problem if i bought the 8$ license?
    Again i hope this message reaches you! Sorry for the long paragraph! And thank you so much for this shader you're absolutely amazing!

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! Don’t worry about it, I trust that if that time came you would just come and message me either on Twitter or through email. I’d be happy to help you upgrade your license. For now, just stick with the editorial license. Also, keep in mind that this video is quite out of date and I would recommend you watch my other video on the Illustration Shader 3.0 for more clarity!

    Hello, is the actual stroke image texture your creation, or did you get it from somewhere? If you downloaded it from somewhere, would you be willing to share the direct link? Happy to kick $10 your way either way, thanks.

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey I believe it was just strokes I found online, but keep in mind that it isn’t a solid brushstroke texture. The shader distributes the strokes individually. So the image texture I have is a grid of strokes. It won’t really get you what you are looking for I believe.

    • @gameworkerty
      @gameworkerty ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Tradigital no it's exactly what I needed, I am making a unity shader that distributes the strokes from the grid. Thanks!

    I got lost on the last 20 minutes or so where you started adding the light blue. This is almost 2 years old now so I understand but is there an easy way to get that same effect with the updated shader. Thank you sir. Love your work.

      @@newbiecryptewbie3170 you can, but it is not that optimized. It would be using the same process as here but using your light information as the alpha map for the second layer

    Can you run this effect in to uniti after all the work in blender?

    • @Tradigital
      @Tradigital  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, this effect is not something you can bake, but I do have another tool specifically for painting normal maps that will be coming soon! That will be exportable to other softwares.
