Hey Brandon great video again buddy just had to rewire my Stealth Bomber and I got my bike working again had a short. The company sent me a new harness,step down, relay,ignition, new switch,, and new tail light so I had to do the same thing as to figure it out for my bike but all is working now . Great job explaining everything. Ride safe buddy.take care.

Can you review and set up your controller, i.e. the ND72330 controller? And is it possible to set the maximum temperature of the motor in the program?
I will certainly in the future. I just wanna be more comfortable with what i know before i do. And yes you can set the max temp of the motor
I like your videos I have a problem with the it’s a small black round. I don’t know what it is but it has three wires, green, gray, and black that supposed to plug-in to the harness the wires out of the harness, green, black and gray they don’t match up. Do you know what this piece is? I wish I could send a photo
It's the flasher relay, that's strange it's doesn't match up. You may have to re pin it. My colors do match up so that may have been a mistake when they assembled the harness
Some kits sell long harness separately, do I really need that harness or is it just for accessories and extended length? I think the harness that comes with controller connects to throttle, display, and motor so it should suffice, no?
Definitely not needed, I have some fardriver wiring videos aswell as 12v system wiring videos you can start from scratch no prob!
I'm thinking about getting this controller for my bike, did you get the dkd display to work with the controller?
I actually had to have them send me a new controller that had updated firmware but yes i did get it working! Hopefully they have them updated for future buyers, so you wont have to deal with it not working lol

@EmxBrandon no it will be the ND72890 for a qs205, right now I have a sabvoton 200a controller but I'm borrowing from my son cause mine blew up so I'm researching a different controller than came across your video
@@E-bikeguy ahh gotcha! I just wanted to make sure we were on the same page since my kit is encoder motor and encoder control which are pretty much made for each other. But my experience with fardriver has been great so far im doing a 138 swapped pitbike for my buddy with a 72180 and the thing rips. I love how easy the app is and tuning while im out riding is awesome! Ive seen some guys put down some crazy power with the fardriver/hub combo, so no doubt youll be happy!
We’re did you find the 420 gear for the qs165 . Have not been able to locate one have found kits for sur Ron but not just gear.

Im stoked im finally putting a motor and controller that i got a part in tuning 🤙 definitely makes me feel like i actually modded it and not just made it look cool. If that makes sense 😂 but im actually planning to jeep the etm kit and fogure out how to put a 25 pitch sprocket on the motor so i can swap it into the rsf

@jimmydeslondes9531 yeah this was back before i knew anything about controllers and only had a plug and play kit. It was my first fardriver and i was excited to actually be able to tune it myself with some help of a buddy.
The seller says me that there are two versions of controller. Hall version and Encoder version. Which is better for Sur Ron? Thanks
Go with hall version youll have more choices for controllers.

Hi I like your videos keep it up I have the same setup I also have problems with the speedometer I see you fixed the problem can you please explain how you fixed it.
I talked to the seller and they sent me a new controller that actually worked. I do wanna do some tests with the previous controller and see if hooking the display up to a hall wire will work.

Hello, I have a qs 165 encoder version. I have an issue with it. It shows "Motor hall error"
I suspect the encoder board to be faulty, there are 3 wires coming out for encoder signal (green, blue and yellow), the green and yellow are outputing 0 to 3v depending on the motor position, but the blue wire signal never changes, it's always at 0V.
How could I test the sensor board to see if it is the problem?

Im honestly not sure how to go avout testing for that since ive never had to. It does sound like your in the right track though with it being the sensor. As far as i know they should have a 5v signal coming in from the red wire and as the rotor spins it should hit each individual "hall" wire. Sorry i cant be of more help!
so when u buy a ev convert kit u need also order a matched harness including relay,relay for led flasher,anti theft,dc to dc converter.what else do i need to buy?when i order this harness i ll replace all those plugs with waterproof.
If you order a kit with the full harness like this you wont need to buy anything else for the electrical side of things other than hooking up your battery to the controller with whatever lead your choose and pinning connectors to whatever 12v lights you use. As you said youll be using the waterproof connections. Then of course chain and sprockets.
@@EmxBrandon im also not sure wich motor design is the best. u have hub motor,mid and side drive motor.i want to use with belt ,chain is noisy.

Its probably stuck in autolearn canbyou twist the throttle and it will start to spin? If so hold it till you fully finish the auto learn. If not youll need to set your temp sensor to none for now and see if that stops the beeping or changes the beeping. If its beeping 3 times then auto learn needs to be complete
The sprocket stays on which side of the bike? Right or left? I guess ting left right?
For my mototec its on the right side, but motor direction can be changed with the fardriver so it doesnt matter which side its on

My harness for my Fardriver did not have the hall connection, it came with one purple wire for hall, AliExpress is no help..
Are you talking about the main harness for the display and lights? The hall wires are seperate and come directly from the controller harness.

i'm now using this same harness to wire up the hall sensor version fardriver - would you happen to know how the ignition switch wires up (considering the orange cable)?
You should have a red wire with a ring terminal and a green wire with a ring terminal if i remember right, the red wire will screw onto the controller positive post and run up to the key switch and then back down to the orange wire on the controller harness. Ive never actually taken the harness apart so im not sure if the dc dc reducer is spliced into the key switch aswell. Did your come with a relay aswell?

Nice! Yeah im not exactly sure if the relay is wired up to the key switch aswell it looks to be a 4 way relay id assume one side for blinkers and possibly for lights. I wanted to take the loom off of it but damn thats alot of work 😆

How do you feel about this QS165 setup after having it for 4 months?
I absolutely love it! And im still at 8kw, once i can get a battery to actually stretch her legs no doubt ill be in love all over again. Absolutely no heat issues, plenty of torque, all around an awesome setup with thr fardriver.

Thats the dkd display. It looks nice but wish it was brighter and instead of a battery bar it read voltage.
@@EmxBrandon nice! I was told on Aliexpress that the DKD display wouldnt work with the fardriver - are you just connecting it to the "pulse" signal?
Who did you talk to? I got my kit from siaecosys and the first controller they sent me wouldnt send one-line signal to the display. After explaining that to them they sent me a new controller with updated firmware. After that it was reading speed and amp draw! Unfortunately i was being dumb and popped that controller 🤦♂️ this controller being the encoder model i was using speed pulse one-line the yellow/green wire, on a regular hall model harness i believe its light blue. Me and a buddy spent hours and days trying to figure it out by running the purple wire to a hall or phase, changing display parameters, anything we could try with no luck.

Id say 15kw continuous and 20kw peak? Honestly just keep an eye on motor temps and turn phase amps down if needed

Look at 9pin at controller, are they color matching.? Purple to purple
@@1LN from the controller its green/yellow into purple on the main harness which goes to yellow/white on the display so the one line should be complete according to their diagram. Also on the diagram it shows green/yellow as one line on the controller harness and the purple on the controller harness as low brake
@@1LN also i should mention all the wires are color coded correctly off the diagrams they send except the 6 pin off the controller all those are different color but im assuming what the diagrams says they do is correct but only has speed 1 and 2 going into the harness to the bar switches
I apologize,I thought purple was speed on pin#1 on the 9 pin connector , I looked up wire diagram on line ,I must of looked at wrong one.
