Damn, this is a pretty quality and compact tutorial without the all of the bs. I am however dissapointed you didnt take in the accound Nutrient paste dispenser which almost halves the food needed to make a meal. (Basically needing only 2 hydroponics per colonist or 3 if you want to be 100% secure from starvation)
This is assuming your not running the utility columns mod. That lets you make a support column that has a built-in heater/sunlamp combo with a possible supported grow zone as large as the column's roof support area. There's also the second generation hydroponics mod, which adds a second tier of hydroponics basins that have the vanilla basins as a research requirement and have double the output for half the power requirement. I'm aware that the mods that I mentioned may not have been available when this video came out a year ago, and my advice might be momentarily invalidated with the impending 1.3 update, but that's factors to consider if you going to be modding Rimworld 1.2.
