I love Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan, and in many ways, I think he's a far more fleshed out protagonist - but there's something about Rob's humble, down-to-earth personality and his natural accent that will make me always have a special place in my heart for his character, and I particularly enjoyed that they brought him back (along with Ben and the others) for RDR2
It's almost like they don't want to make a DLC just out of spite. They know that the fans want one SO badly. It just doesn't make any sense why they wouldn't, especially since RDO is a fantastic failure.
Voice acting isn't necessarily about having different accents. That can be a creative choice but it's not the end all be all to voice acting. It's about emoting and line readings.

I agree. I get why people see the resemblance to Javier though, but it's just the facial hair. I get it because facial hair is such a prominent feature on one's face, but it's also highly variable and dependent on how you grow it or shave it. I prefer to look at features that cannot be altered in that way, like the shape and position of the eyebrows and the eyes etc. Javier has kind of small, deep-set eyes with "lazy" eyelids in a sense, while Jack shares John's low-set brow that looks like it's just set to angry by default.

Personally I think the blind man is simply a stereotypical hermit and prophet. I don't think he's suppose to be God by any means. And if I had to guess, the Strange Man is mostly likely the devil, a demon or death. In his cabin in RDR2 he's clearly written to be some sort of force beyond our comprehension, being known for causing the plauge in Armadilo. The way it's written, it would appear he's a version of death. However, what's odd is that the cabin is listed as "Serial Killer's Cabin," so who knows. I think the cabin name may have just been a place holder name while the game was in development and R* simply forgot to rename it to something more fitting. But again, who knows for sure.

You should watch the TH-cam video of him after RDR1, it almost symbolizes his role in the game, he left the Hollywood life to just live a normal life on a ranch with his family

悪Aiiko Man I completely agree, specially on the pvp part. Everyone is SUCH a tryhard now, and I say this as a really good player rank 265. Every high player is just using tonics every 30 seconds. I normally don’t like taking tonics, I only use dead eye 50% of the time, I always use regular ammo, I use just 1 revolver and no Mauser pistols. Some of my friends think they’re better than me, because they’re going full tryhard on people. Also the gameplay was much better in the beta, everything is so fast and stupid now. I miss the old movement
Why would you even want anything for red dead online? It barely feels like an Online game, and it'll just ruin any chance of a SP DLC Just like GTA Online. I quit playing MONTHS ago.
I think they purposely designed adult Jack Marston to resemble multiple members of the gang to leave his father ambiguous for the players. I personally think John is Jack’s dad, since it adds a deeper meaning to their relationship. John left the gang for a time, abandoning his role as father, then as the game progresses he gradually learns to accept his role as Jack’s father and genuinely wants to grow closer to him.

I love how the actors themselves know the details and mechanics of the games so well. Maybe not Rob because he isn't a gamer like he mentioned before. But damn both Roger and Ben definitely know the games very well.

Well he did kinda hint towards Arthur featuring in RDO, which would probably make since considering that Blackwater is currently in chaos now since Amos Lancing was killed who was on comparison with Angelo Bronte in terms of power and control. Since he's out of the loop thanks to Jessica LeClerk, it leaves Blackwater wide open for a potential robbery and the appearance of a particular Legendary Gunslinger 😉 Patience is a virtue.

There’s something quite poetic about the idea of Jack being Dutch or maybe even Arthur’s son. I like that theory. The idea that Arthur sacrificed himself for the gang and saved John, and so unbeknownst to him John could raise his son and take care of him is interesting

I like to think it’s Javier because he’s my favourite character. He didn’t mean to do the wrong thing he was just loyal to the man who saved his life, an it’s nice to think even a small part of that intense and beautiful personality and character lives on in Jack.
I love that you can tell the whole cast has their regular voice and their acting voice. Like you can recognize what character they play, but they don’t sound quite the same as when they’re actually IN character. But then there’s Rob, and there is no differentiation whatsoever between his voice and Johns voice. He just sounds like John all the time. Made no attempt to sound different for the games cuz his voice was so perfect for it in the first place lol

When Jack was young, I always though he looked more like Arthur, simply cus if his hair color. Then when Jack grew up, his hair got darker, and no doubt he looked mostly like Javier. But I still see young John in there too. Facial hair rarely indicates bloodline. And John had somewhat of an olive complexion, like Jack does. I guess the father is whoever we decide it is, cus it’s a video game lol.
I always thought John and Jack were pretty similar looking. They both have the same features, such as their cheeks. I remember when RDR1 came out some people called Jack a John clone without scars lol
I'm so glad how Rob has changed from the first Red Dead Redemption, to Red Dead Redemption 2. After the first RDR, I believe he went back to his life the way it was before, but in this video, he seems very happy to work more on the game. Judging from 6:06.
This was lots of fun. Oh, and I loved the fact that the "real" Arthur watches some of the same RDR2 videos I do as I remember the one where, i think it wasTag, carries the vampire on his horse waiting for sunrise.
I love how much these guys genuinely know and love these games. Of course they’d have to know it, given the amount they worked on it, but it is awesome to see they are all so passionate about it and are still buddies. 悪Aiiko Man I completely agree, specially on the pvp part. Everyone is SUCH a tryhard now, and I say this as a really good player rank 265. Every high player is just using tonics every 30 seconds. I normally don’t like taking tonics, I only use dead eye 50% of the time, I always use regular ammo, I use just 1 revolver and no Mauser pistols. Some of my friends think they’re better than me, because they’re going full tryhard on people. Also the gameplay was much better in the beta, everything is so fast and stupid now. I miss the old movement

I think they purposely designed adult Jack Marston to resemble multiple members of the gang to leave his father ambiguous for the players. I personally think John is Jack’s dad, since it adds a deeper meaning to their relationship. John left the gang for a time, abandoning his role as father, then as the game progresses he gradually learns to accept his role as Jack’s father and genuinely wants to grow closer to him.
I like to believe he is but absolutely no doubt he resembles Javier a lot. He resembles both of them bu javi more I think

@Keknov i mean if you read aurthors journal it states that abigale got in the gang because she was a prositute (along with miss grimshaw) and that aurthor wanted to mary her as well. i dont see any of aurthor in jack but i do see javiar but the thing is jack is not completed like javier and yes even if he is mixed with a white person he would still be a little dark but i also see dutch in him as well as a bit of bill. maybe bill rejected jack as his kid and thats why she hates him

I love how the actors themselves know the details and mechanics of the games so well. Maybe not Rob because he isn't a gamer like he mentioned before. But damn both Roger and Ben definitely know the games very well.
The fact that Ben openly said he 100 percented the game is just wow to me - that's dedication of a person who helped make and enjoy their own masterpiece.
It’s honestly really like the coolest thing ever and I imagine Rob knows his way around the game a little bit.

Since he's out of the loop thanks to Jessica LeClerk, it leaves Blackwater wide open for a potential robbery and the appearance of a particular Legendary Gunslinger 😉

There’s something quite poetic about the idea of Jack being Dutch or maybe even Arthur’s son. I like that theory. The idea that Arthur sacrificed himself for the gang and saved John, and so unbeknownst to him John could raise his son and take care of him is interesting

I don't think he looks Mexican or Native American. Abigail and John both have very dark hair and so does Jack as an adult. Jack's skin tone is light too.
I like to think it’s Javier because he’s my favourite character. He didn’t mean to do the wrong thing he was just loyal to the man who saved his life, an it’s nice to think even a small part of that intense and beautiful personality and character lives on in Jack.

I love that you can tell the whole cast has their regular voice and their acting voice. Like you can recognize what character they play, but they don’t sound quite the same as when they’re actually IN character.
But then there’s Rob, and there is no differentiation whatsoever between his voice and Johns voice. He just sounds like John all the time. Made no attempt to sound different for the games cuz his voice was so perfect for it in the first place lol
I turned away from the screen to get ice as Rob was talking and the face of John instantly popped into my head 😂

When Jack was young, I always though he looked more like Arthur, simply cus if his hair color. Then when Jack grew up, his hair got darker, and no doubt he looked mostly like Javier. But I still see young John in there too. Facial hair rarely indicates bloodline. And John had somewhat of an olive complexion, like Jack does. I guess the father is whoever we decide it is, cus it’s a video game lol.
I always thought John and Jack were pretty similar looking. They both have the same features, such as their cheeks. I remember when RDR1 came out some people called Jack a John clone without scars lol

After the first RDR, I believe he went back to his life the way it was before, but in this video, he seems very happy to work more on the game. Judging from 6:06.

I love how much these guys genuinely know and love these games. Of course they’d have to know it, given the amount they worked on it, but it is awesome to see they are all so passionate about it and are still buddies.
