It must be so frustrating to compete with Rich. They are all working so hard, giving everything they have. And then they look up and see Rich is the distance, casually throwing some weight around and calmly taking time you wouldn't even expect him to have. Although working out with him might be discouraging, what a honour! Total legend.
As a avid strongman and powerlifter competitor i have always bashed "crossfitters" as a stupid "p90X" sort of way to get in shape, not to compete. now i know it takes real endurance and strength to do this. i can deadlift 700lbs and weigh 270lbs but i still have a lot to learn! way to go guys!!
Yup, they take elements from all types of strength and endurance sports, meld them into one sport, to form the most balanced and well rounded athletes, I couldn't think of a better way to measure fitness.
You know most of these workouts are pretty easy on their own for someone who is extremely fit, but when you string them together it becomes really tough. They aren't sprinting because they are pacing them selves.
I think I understood it :D Anyways, burpees are a mix of a pushup and a squat, and some of those are not even close to a pushup, that is what I meant. And about muscle ups... Sorry, but I think that a kipping muscle up is more about technic than strenght. Even 5 years old gymnast can do them. So, like I said, I would rather them to do just a few strict muscle ups, than doing so many kipping muscle ups. Just my opinion :D. Sorry for answering this late. And English is not my native language too
Sorry for answering you this late. That is what I'm talking about. These guys are forced to do so many reps, so they have no chance but making them the bad way. Personally, I would prefer strict form but less reps than a million reps but no form at all. I hope I wrote this correctly, English is not my native language. Sorry if I did not :D
respect to you for not shitting on the sport of crossfit, but you've gotta keep in mind that these guys aren't doing these reps on a fresh body. they've done overhead squats, box jumps, power cleans and several muscle ups before doing the crappy formed muscle up that you see it's similar to olympic lifting, not every lift is going to have perfect technique, especially on the 2nd or third event rowing, the technique will get crappy in the last 200m, cause their bodies are just exhausted
got to love all these people talking shit about form, when they can't do any of them.. internet trolls, id like to see the shit talkers upload a video of all these movements back to back and perfect form go go go go
Similarly to Crossfit, these guys do have good technique on their first few reps. It's just that they're doing so many reps, that their body gets tired. You're never going to see anybody do 10 perfect power cleans at 225 in a row. I guess it's just the sport of Crossfit that entitles these kinds of workouts, but it's all up to the athlete. They can use crappy technique and injure themselves, or they can try to use the best technique they can and finish a brutal workout.
thanks! because i didnt know if start right now with crossfit maybe i would get more gain starting in a classic gym and then try crossfit because im preety skinny
from personal experience, i am skinny too, and have been doing crossfit for about almost a year. I havent gained lot of mass (about 2 kg in all of this time) but definitely im a lot stronger now, and fitter (cardio and resistance). I know that if i had spent time in a gym only lifting weights all this time I would be a lot bigger, but my problem is that i get really bored at the gym, while crossfit entertains me a lot and motivates me going the next day, the community that it builds arround the box (a crossfit gym) is cool and they motivate you even more. If you can manage to stay motivated and go to the gym on a regular basis (at LEAST 3 times a week), start with the gym and gain some mass first (remember, diet is more important than beating your ass off doing heavy lifts). I tell you this because when new people come to the box I go that have "classic gym" experience, usually are slower than me in the WOD, but as soon as they get a little of cardio, they beat me. hopefully you find this usefull :)
But what you're saying is essentially the same with every sport. For example, I used to be a sprint canoer, and in a race, your body gets tired at the end of a 4 minute 1000m so your technique is not going to be the best. If you were going to simply test the paddlers on their technique for one perfect stroke, then there would be no point. It's how you apply that technique to the actual sport that matters. That's why you'll see every paddler has a different technique.
My classmates laughed when I told them I would bulk up with "Atomic Max Muscle", but then I showed them the results. Google Atomic Max Muscle to see their reaction. (It was epic!)
I would not make this circuit, I admit that. But please, you have to admit that their form on muscle ups and pushups make baby jesus cry. I have always said that Crossfit should be as strict at the weights exercises form as on their bodyweights exercises. Aswell is not about making 40 weighted squats with bad form, they should not do 10 awful muscle ups. I think it will be better with 5, but doing them perfectly. And the same on pushups. The one at 4:18 is just carcinogenic.
Crossfit if done correctly is good, assuming you have close to if not perfect form and know how to setup the right routines.. But most of the Crossfit I have seen, the students have horrible form, the instructors keep pushing them with bad form until they snap their shit up and they are also over training
"These are the type of people in our sport. The character.. there are no mean people". Crossfiters are among the most arrogant athletes I've ever met. What a joke.

Ultimate work ethic!
These people do unbelieveable things, but they are the fittest according to crossfit-terms.
2020
amazing cardio
he is beast !

honestly at the rings i think you lost me haha these guys are beast
OHD Squat is, the overall movements and workout is more cardiovascular - demanding though because of the high volume and amount of work being done
It's just a title. Like winning the iron man. Tony stark wouldn't necessarily be happy. But yes these guy's really are some of the fittest on earth.
And your English is much better than most of the people that comment on TH-cam, don't worry about that :P
Whats that exercise being performed right after the box jumps called?
The commentator's said it best, these are gymnast style exercises designed to favor smaller athletes.
I think I understood it :D Anyways, burpees are a mix of a pushup and a squat, and some of those are not even close to a pushup, that is what I meant. And about muscle ups... I WANT TO DO THIS! i just turned 18, and i think i found a new passion!

Beast Mode
They should have SIMPLY THE BEST< BY TINA TURNER playing in the background
wow ...warrior !! teah buddy :-)
For the purpose of lifting extremely heavy weight yes, however not combining cardio as well (at least not to the extent of crossfit).
The squat snatch was considered one.
Máster rich

Do I have to make 10 muscle ups in a row?
Pronto
Just awesome how they lock their shoulders with the overhead squats; this weight would just fall down and break my neck.
Great way to lose weight, but have you ever been told about Sweet Weight Shredder? My Pap shred 3 stone quickly after reading it.
This is 'chipper'. Well, you need strength and endurance to finish the whole exercise. Of coz, you can gain muscle from that.
How is that? What is your definition of "fit"?
Rich Froning 2 STRONGG
These people are unreal.
Wow, how amazing is the human body that it can take so much punishment
got to love all these people talking shit about form, when they can't do any of them.. internet trolls, id like to see the shit talkers upload a video of all these movements back to back and perfect form go go go go

Doing the circuit topless takes 10 seconds off your circuit time.
wth are this muscle ups ? i respect this discipline but the éxécution of the exercices are realy bad for articulations
Géo Nico i
Géo Nico weddqwqwertyuiopasdffggg
rich froning did another discipline before crossfit?? because i dont know how much muscle mass can you gain if you starts crossfit being skinny
Karl Panzinger Rich is firefighter and he trained in a gym a lot of years before trying CrossFit. He had a good form shape before this.
thanks! because i didnt know if start right now with crossfit maybe i would get more gain starting in a classic gym and then try crossfit because im preety skinny

I doubt you could do pull ups with worse form than crossfit people
My classmates laughed when I told them I would bulk up with "Atomic Max Muscle", but then I showed them the results. Google Atomic Max Muscle to see their reaction. (It was epic!)
this is hilarious...bad form just makes me smile....
