I will be picking one up very soon, 19" wheels and the standard silver paint. There has been a recall concerning the fuse panel and MB won't release a car to the customer until a recall is sorted. I've driven it twice and agree with your assessment. Just wondered if you noticed the engine shaking the car a bit when stopped at red light? One reviewer said he finally found a car he was glad to use the start/stop function. I noticed it a bit but if it was a long light, I shifted it into neutral. It was a 2023 and 30K under sticker price, which I thought was a great deal. Cheers .
Thanks, I do know you can override the automatic stopping of the engine at a light and only shut off when you get to your destination. ( I have been fortunate to have had many MB cars over the years and always use it so the engine doesn't have to restart after every stop). I was trying to explain that the reviewer I referenced, as most enthusiasts, also always turns off the start/stop feature in any car he's driving but in the case of the SL 43, he was happy to leave it on so the engine would stop at a light and the car wouldn't vibrate. I thought that was pretty interesting.
Why are so many people obsessed with having more cylinders. It’s about performance and looks and the SL43 delivers it. I had one for four days and it’s a very quick car. I have one in order and I can’t justify an extra £62,000 for the SL 63 just so I have a few more cylinders

Start/stop can be turned off on MB cars which will stop the shaking and wear on the engine.

That's a lot of money for a 4 cylinder. Missing 2 more
