@pinoytrucking on this video was that truckstop? Do you have an email, I would like to talk to you about stepdeck. You can email me at lergologistics@gmail.com, I also do youtube. I have a flatbed right now but I want to eventually go to SD or rgn
Im a freight agent and im trying to get loads or ltl and shippers are not willing to pay more than $3, other brokers find cheaper carriers.. i dont like going cheap because it means bad service, however you have to understand the more capacity there is, the cheaper the freight gets
I think I would try to specialize in that oversize frieght, if I chose to step deck. I think your 300 mile $3,50 a mile mid west load is good... leaves you in a good area, get it done in one day, book another short inside the same area, get it done in one day, rinse and repeat. Pennsylvania is good for van, especially near Allentown... good rates and plenty to choose from... you can build a business going into and out of Allentown area.
@@redshifttrucking4537 oversize freight is not consistent, so specializing is not an option for a spot market carrier, he would be running 3 loads a month and sitting the rest of time.
think....we been in trouble. this summer has been terrible for flatbed man....i live in pittsburgh n run tha steel mills and even those rates dropped crazy
@@pinoytrucking the hanging on thing is precisely the reason things don’t improve. There’s no magic to it, some have to fall off for rates to pick up. Otherwise we will all be getting scraps.
Try hauling three or four partials going to have multiple stops and pickups but you can negotiate higher rates Make them all in one direction some of the load will be paying 5 to $6 a mile until you start delivering
nah. Those loads are taken by the double brokers and then re-posted at higher rates to scam some carrier into taking it, then they never pay the carrier and they keep the $2/mile payout.
i use DAT but i didnt know truckstop partnered with DAT
No they’re not partners. Actually direct competition hehehe

How much load price from Seattle, wa to Riverside, ca ?
That’s not a good lane. Cali to WA is usually paying good so WA to CA is gonna be bad. Plus not a lot of freight coming out of WA.

We are in big trouble for sure. Hopefully we can hang on long enough. The crazy thing is; I’m not seeing it flat lining just yet.

Yea let’s not tell everyone and their momma to get a CDL and buy a truck the next time rates improve
I remember all those 10-12K videos when everything was good
You hit the nail right on the head
can you tell me what loadboard you was using
I’m using both Truckstop and DAT Loadboard. I use DAT Loadboard more with van/power only. Open deck Truckstop is better.
Same shit on reefer side, $2/mile Dallas to NY/NJ, and some carrier took it. These people will go bankrupt soon, for sure.
Yes indeed...
When?
This will continue. Don’t underestimate.

Never deadheaded so much in my life. This is just getting worse .
