@@heardcollects3754 I own my truck and reefer but I’m at a roadblock acquiring my irp apportioned plates because of an insurance issue. A real kick in the ball they make you have full active insurance while you wait up to 1 month for your plates to arrive in the mail. With insurance being $2500 a month Al while just starting the business it really sets you back

@@Benzwa1d if you look at what I posted about 1 month ago saying that I was at a roadblock because of insurance, I’m still in the same position. I have my truck and trailer that I’m paying for and I can’t get a license plate because I can’t afford to start the insurance plan which is $9000 down payment. I’m in between a rock and a hard place and I maybe have to sell it all before I even get to start.

Afternoon pick ups. I see so many drivers rush to pick ups. Don’t. Those rates automatically go up after lunch and second snack. I waited a load out for $700 and I didn’t have to negotiate shit for it 😂. Went from $1100 to $1800 in 2 hours.

Love the hustle bro keep pushing it gets a lot easier after you have your authority for 6 months. I've had mines now for 10 months and pretty much 95% of brokers I call accept my authority.

I’ve see these types of videos before. Every owner operator thinks they figured it out until they find out that they are not really in control of anything in the trucking industry. I’m happy for you, young man. Just stack up and make sure you have an exit strategy at all times.

@@truckingempire563 yeah. The trucking industry is cut throat especially when there’s little freight to go around. As far you understand that it’s a business and businesses go through cycles, I think you’ll be just fine.
You had great detail in this video. However, I think you can go into more depth as far as the pickup, drop off, loading and unloading. In my opinion the more detail the better. A video may be long but you can always break an hour long video down to six ten minute long videos and release them individually for a great series. You can gain more followers while providing great information to the community. Much success to you and you've gained a new Subscriber in me.

Beware that an 'N' rating just simply means a newer brokerage. It's too new to have a rating. I'm starting up mine now & I hope people understand this & don't just pass me by too badly. It's secured with factoring. I also think my website will stand out too.

Great Video, but here are a few important facts about the industry.
OTR can be tricky, if a load is going to a city were is hard to back haul, don't take it
Keep in mind the fuel costs
Lodging accommodation costs
But mainly be mindful where will you be delivering, don't get stuck without a back haul , expenses can rise quickly
Just wanted to update you. Still following every single one of your videos. As planned I picked up the check today from the bank. My truck is being delivered to my house on Monday. I got a 2014 sleeper semi rig. Next I need to pickup a trailer. If I keep abiding by your techniques I am confident I will have the good numbers rolling rite into the bank account in the next 2 months. I am doing this while working 40hrs/week at my current career.

I use DAT, RTS Financial and KeepTruckin as well. I don't like KeepTruckin, the only company that locks you into a contract. Their salesman verbally sold me something different than was in the contract. I am currently fighting them and will NEVER use them again. Verbally agreed to pay their fee and was told I was good for 2 years! Well, I am paying $510 every 6 months! Not cheap! And I don't need all the fancy things for a logbook, just need to be legal.

The only time I made 7K was putting a FTL box truck load with a Partial & bam... Dont sell BS U know the market is not good! But, Box truck loads are paying 60-70 of what a semi truck load pays so diesel & overhead are much less!
When searching for loads tap offer on the top bar. That will put the top paying loads at the top. Start with the big money boss.
