Maaaaaaaaan .... I just made this last night. As with every recipe I look for, I compare and maybe combine ideas from each. THIS recipe started me on the path to THE best fried shrimp I've EVER made. Mustard and egg combination was the MONSTER winner. To that I added 1/2 T garlic powder, 1/2 T Old Bay Seasoning & 1 tsp salt. I marinated the shrimp in the mustard mixture for about an hour. Then pulled it out and rolled it around in 75:25 Panko bread crumbs:Parmesan cheese. Fried in 375° for about 2 1/2 minutes. I made cocktail sauce, but it distracted from the amazing flavor of the recipe. Thank you Rose!
Always been afraid to fry shrimp because it cooks so fast, and I be multitasking in the kitchen, but this is very much so doable, I'll be adding this to our fish fry Friday dinner tonight. Thanks!

Tried this today with a variation. Once the prawns are coated in the flower and spice mix, lightly dip them back in the egg wash and then into a bowl of panko breadcrumbs. Then in the oil as you would normally. You get all the flavour from the cajun seasoning, but with the crunchy bread crumbs It's soooooo good

You didn't waste time with the usual ten minutes of annoying channel plugs that everyone else does. Likewise, Everything that you promised us, you delivered. Plain, simple and very well articulated. As a former Catering Chef, I'm not too big on boxed mixes. But those look "CRAZY", all I would need is some homemade Tartar Sauce. I'm going to look for that frying mix here in Columbus Ohio.

I like to use mustard as a variation to fish; I've never considered using mustard for shrimp. Thank you

i normally use a cooling rack to put my breaded items on so they are air dried on all sides then after frying, add to cooling rack to cool yum

Sorry if I missed this detail but what temp and time would you need if you were to air fry the shrimp?
350 degrees should work fine for about 3-4 minutes check it occasionally.
