You know, when Overwatch 2 was announced on Steam, I predicted that there are gonna be so much review bombing on the Steam reviews. I expected TF2 players and people who are pissed at Activision Blizzard in general. What I didn't expect, however, is how it manage to score an Overwhelming Negative review.
Nobody really cares about the staff. That controversy was forgotten in like a month. Only the game and customers and Valve has been treating tf2 just like Blizzard treating ow2. The only difference is ow fans actually have the balls to criticize blizzard, we tf2 fans just forgive valve like it's an indie company. Remember that, we had to beg on twitter to get cheaters of the game, that was a year ago. And nothing has been done even after they responded.

Man, I remember the days of OW 1. I've never actually played the game, but I always watched my father play Overwatch. Everytime he got home from work, he would get on OW. I would watch him hit across the map shots as Hanzo, I would high five him whenever he got POTG and he even let me open some of the crates he got from playing the matches. I would feel so proud when I helped him unbox a legendary item. But recently, as Overwatch went from a 40$ fun MOBA Movement shooter hybrid to a money spending simulator, he doesn't touch the game anymore. I miss seeing him hit the most amazing plays in the game. I feel like Activision Blizzard took a large chunk of my childhood away from me. R.I.P OW1, gone, but never forgotten PS. I might convince him to play TF2, we have it installed. Wish me luck.

Blizzard deserves the negative reviews. That's what they get for leaving OW1 players with no updates and giving players false hope that OW2 would bring PvE for 5 years. It's crazy how they went from being regarded as a great company, to an alright company, to one of the most hated in the span of a little over half a decade.
The vast, VAST majority of these negative reviews come from Chinese players, because Blizzard didn’t renew a contract that let them publish their games in China and it thus removed every blizzard game from China, including everybody’s progress in said games. Yeah, they have every reason to be upset.

For you see, the TF2 Community’s beef with Overwatch is that they look “similar” or “copied” in terms of gameplay, even though it’s not true as Blizzard (Old Blizzard) openly admitted that Overwatch was INSPIRED by TF2, and even praised it as being the best shooters (TF2). When Overwatch 1 was released the whole TF2 vs Overwatch fiasco wasn’t that widespread as it is now, most just see it as a good game. Then fucking Game Theory MatPat came along, he made a TF2 vs Overwatch debate video where he shows obvious bias and contradicting arguments. Now that wouldn’t be a problem, it’s just a video that’s all… but here’s the thing, MatPat is very influential, especially with large target audience, this is what spiked the whole TF2 vs Overwatch debacle for years now! Now, the TF2 community isn’t innocent in this as well, as they will cling to any hate or drama they could find after all there are bad apples in the community. Now with a combination of what I’ve mentioned, it’s the reason why TF2 has a hate boner for Overwatch. I’m not one of those people. Pretty most TF2 Players don’t have a beef with Overwatch, it’s only the Community that does that.

Played paladins and overwatch an equal amount of time, I prefer paladins, people can keep shitting on how it "copied" some aspects of overwatch, but i actually enjoyed playing paladins, overwatch is just too boring and slow, paladins at least lets you change some of you're stuff and has a wider range of characters, allowing some individuality, overwatch is just "pick the current meta, win by landslide or have your ass completely fucked"
Never played Overwatch, but Paladins has Yagorath and she's incredibly fun to play as. I'm a pretty casual player, but I do like how you can have talents and cards that mix things up a bit. I wasn't all too interested in Overwatch to begin with but the current state of the game seals the deal. I think I will stick to TF2 and Paladins.

The vast, VAST majority of these negative reviews come from Chinese players, because Blizzard didn’t renew a contract that let them publish their games in China and it thus removed every blizzard game from China, including everybody’s progress in said games. Yeah, they have every reason to be upset.
When i see the 2000 days post i always think, hey that's me.

As someone who has 1000 hours in tf2 and has spent a large amount of money on the game. Can someone explain why the TF2 community has always had a hate boner for OW a majority of people in the community that hate it have never even tried to play it dont get me wrong it definitely isnt the greatest game and there are many reasons to hate blizard or dislike the game but I've never seen someone explain why they hate it.

For you see, the TF2 Community’s beef with Overwatch is that they look “similar” or “copied” in terms of gameplay, even though it’s not true as Blizzard (Old Blizzard) openly admitted that Overwatch was INSPIRED by TF2, and even praised it as being the best shooters (TF2). When Overwatch 1 was released the whole TF2 vs Overwatch fiasco wasn’t that widespread as it is now, most just see it as a good game. Then fucking Game Theory MatPat came along, he made a TF2 vs Overwatch debate video where he shows obvious bias and contradicting arguments. Now that wouldn’t be a problem, it’s just a video that’s all… but here’s the thing, MatPat is very influential, especially with large target audience, this is what spiked the whole TF2 vs Overwatch debacle for years now! Now, the TF2 community isn’t innocent in this as well, as they will cling to any hate or drama they could find after all there are bad apples in the community.
Now with a combination of what I’ve mentioned, it’s the reason why TF2 has a hate boner for Overwatch. I’m not one of those people. Pretty most TF2 Players don’t have a beef with Overwatch, it’s only the Community that does that.

Mainly because people called Overwatch a Team Fortress killer game!
And some former TF2 streamers moving to it back then, which lets say didn't leave a good mark in the commuinty leading to this some kind of hate rivarly.

Played paladins and overwatch an equal amount of time,
I prefer paladins, people can keep shitting on how it "copied" some aspects of overwatch, but i actually enjoyed playing paladins, overwatch is just too boring and slow, paladins at least lets you change some of you're stuff and has a wider range of characters, allowing some individuality, overwatch is just "pick the current meta, win by landslide or have your ass completely fucked"
do you think you would have like Battleborn before the publisher 2k shut it down? It had story mode, PVP on release and set the release date first.
Never played Overwatch, but Paladins has Yagorath and she's incredibly fun to play as. I'm a pretty casual player, but I do like how you can have talents and cards that mix things up a bit.
I wasn't all too interested in Overwatch to begin with but the current state of the game seals the deal. I think I will stick to TF2 and Paladins.
@@RiddleMajor I already had a bad feeling about Overwatched, so I promoted Team Fortress 2, Battleborn(when it was still available) and Paladins as better options for the customer.

Overwatch is scummy and all but I don't understand why tf2 players try pretending like valve isn't fucking them over and being shitty too. Your game is dying, Valve will only release more crates with stuff they're not even making themselves, a couple bugfixes and you guys eat it up like it's a wagyu steak meanwhile you decry how bad overwatch is (which it is). It seems to me like you're trying to mirror these frustations on overwatch without trying to really acknowledge what's wrong.
I mean, after that many years, they know they're fucked by Valve, just not as fucked up as the other game because of Blizzard
