    This video is a life saver. I had a mechanic remove my old bushing from my 80 Camaro Upper and Lower Control arms. They've been sandblasted and now I am painting them before having the mechanic press the my new Energy Suspension 3106G parts. I will tell him about freezing the bushing before pressing them in. Your diagram was extremely helpful as I opened the Energy Suspension box yesterday and was lost on where they all go. The Lowers are obvious, but your diagram helped me understand the Upper bushing, thanks SO much. I also have those upper and lower bumpers that I will freeze and hope I can pull them through the Control Arms.....

    Dang. At least it's done. 😅
    But I know how you feel. I hate painting things and then scratching them up 😖.
    I picked a good day to catch up on videos. 😎

      Really appreciate that. We've run into some minor delays rebuilding the rear axle but steady progress is fine. Thanks for the encouragement, it really does mean a lot. JD

    John hopefully the lower control arms are salvageable and you don't run into to many more snafu's during this restoration. On a side note the progress is amazing

      Hey Jay, the control arms were salvageable and are currently installed on the car!! The whole front end is back together (video to follow shortly). JD

    I put energy suspension bushings in one control arm and because the outside of the bushing has a flat piece of poly unlike the factory I sliced it. Going to look into tubular.

    • @JDOffline
      @JDOffline  ปีที่แล้ว

      I probably should have gone tubular to be honest but they are pricey. Not that I'm not already over spending on this project but looking back, tubular would have probably saved some headaches! Thanks for checking out the video. JD

    Next time remove any powder coat inside the control arm holes and freeze the bushing in the fridge the night before and immediately install them. They will almost slide right in.

      I will try that next time for sure. JD

    If it’s any consolation, mine bent too. I ended up getting them in and bolted on but they were extremely hard to get in. I ended up using a pry bar and some brute force to get them in.

      We had to do the same for the lowers!! They are in now and that video will be coming out later this week! JD

      @@JDOffline anytime! You going to put EFI on her or keep it original? I put on a Edelbrock ProFlo 4 and I’m sure glad I did. I know they are pricey but nothing beats turn key multi port fuel injection. I have a video on my channel (not this account) but wondering where you were headed with the stroker?

    • @JDOffline
      @JDOffline  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@littlejohn2458 I’m thinking Holley sniper right now. They make a complete kit for this car along w a fuel tank w pre plumbed lines and internal fuel pump. It also is pricey...any experience w the snipers?
