The way that Jon says "where is (animal)" makes me think of a children's show host.
And it makes me like super happy and I love it
"Then tell me. Where is *cat* ?" There's something about the way Jon asked those questions that I really liked
Everybody asks "Where is Chicken?" But no one asks "How is Chicken?"

That Mii Lion is too adorable.
To this day, we may never know where the *insert name of animal here* is.
Animal Matchup was deceptively fun. Like the addition of minigames that can help or hinder you.
NOTE: inn the mousetrap minigame, the flippers that Jon was complaining about, if you look, the red one that kept hitting him went off at the same time all of Emile's other track parts went off, I presume Emile was mashing his button thinking it wasn't doing anything for the last part, when it actually was moving that flipper.
and if that is true, then once again Emile has screwed up Jon with button mashing
Brando Dracobirn Since the buttons that control the pegs also controls the flippers, I think you’re right though I also believe that Emile wasn’t thinking about how his inputs for the pegs was simultaneously messing with Jon when he was pushing his button.

Tabletop Gauntlet is based on a real board game called Screwball Scramble (aka Crazy Golf). The Barshens channel play it in one of their earliest videos.

The first game isn't based on mousetrap, but a game called "run yourself ragged" (AKA Screwball Scramble or Snafu) that had those obstacles controlled by mechanical buttons. The game also reminds me of DK's Crash Course for Nintendo Land.

That first game is Screwball Scramble, not mouse trap. I completely forgot about that game, I loved it as a kid.

I can't help but feel that they'd have done better at the minigames during Animal Matchup if there'd been more communication. They were very quiet most of the time, but when you're doing a game like the beach ball collecting one it helps to say where you want to go rather than start moving and hope your partner picks up on your intent.
Jon reminded me so much of Caboose from RvB in the animal matchup minigame

Pikachu2Ash I mean it was mostly RNG in regards to when Emile hit the button to push the pegs out as the same button controlled the flipper that kept sending Jon over to the other side. The pendulum ball and he alternating flippers were timed. About the only RNG element on the game’s part was how the spinning wheel would send your ball depending on when you hit it.
