For anyone unfamiliar with this game/mode: Certain costumes categories are worth more when fully assembled. Blue is the best, purple second, and so on. Also all the outfit styles are randomly selected from a small pool before the game starts, except the Mario outfit is constant. So watch with me in frustration as they try to complete smaller-value outfits!
Same. I've managed to score 56 points by going for nothing but blues and purples, and I'm cringing at some of their decisions for free costume pieces.

Anybody else like Wii Party for being more than just a "Mario-Party-with-Miis"
I haven't played either game and I love how each board or mode has completely unique ways of progress, goals and events and the way minigames reward players with more dice or other advantages rather than being monetary.
I think Chuggaa needs a Fidget Cube (the proper, AntsyLabs one), I think the reason he's mashing the A/2 button is because he's fidgeting with it while he waits.

So the game can, without joking, allow you to bum the shoes off of someone you knock out.
Thank you for playing this! I watched someone play this years ago when I was sick and it's always been a strange, unplaceable game in my head but now I know what it was!
5:20: Jon should have used his Roll x2. He already had the cowboy hat, so he could have tried for a 5*2=10 to get cowboy pants or even a 6*2=12 for a Lucky Spin (which can give amazing rewards; I had one instance where it gave me the Roll x4, which is exclusive to the Lucky Spin as far as I know).
6:28: The Rolls xN don't give you multiple rolls; they take whatever number you rolled and multiply it by 2, 3, or 4 (depending on the value of N). Also, the gold one (Roll x4), as stated above, is exclusive to the Lucky Spin. I've only ever seen it once. Oh, and there is definitely no diamond or platinum because the board is only 25 spaces long and, as a result, a 6 on such a die would move you directly to the Stage no matter where you are.
6:56: The Mario overalls and Peach dress are the only 4-star costume pieces in the game. (Male players get the Mario overalls and female players get the Peach dress.) Despite this, the Mario/Peach outfit is only the 3rd-best outfit in the game, at 16 points. Here are the rankings for how good the full outfits are: (Full outfits of a single theme are worth double points.)
1. Pirate/Cowboy Outfit: 20 points
2. Ninja/Roman Outfit: 18 points
3. Mario/Peach Outfit: 16 points
4. Clown Outfit: 14 points (If this has another possible theme, I can't remember what it was.)
5. Caveman/Astronaut Outfit: 10 points
Note that each of the five tiers has one of two themes it could possibly have.
8:15: Don't trust Jon here, Chugga. Once you make it all the way back to the Stage, you have to present your outfit (after changing your clothes as desired). The presentation stops your movement, so you can't use the remainder of your roll to go back around to the caveman shop (and even if you could, the shop is 16 spaces away, so you can't land on it with a Roll x3).
9:29: If I were Jon, I would try to take José's ninja slippers. It would progress me more towards a full ninja outfit for a future showoff, and if the previous parts have taught me anything, it's that the AI is pretty easy to beat on this difficulty.
11:20: See? I told you the AI was pretty easy to beat on this difficulty. I didn't think it would be THIS laughably easy, though.
12:03: Chugga meant "Fashion Challenge," which is a minigame in which the winner gets a costume piece of his/her choice, 2nd place gets a random piece from a theme of his/her choice, 3rd place gets a completely random piece, and 4th place doesn't get squat.
13:50: Shoe District sounds like a great name for a part of a Fortune Street board. Someone needs to make a Fortune Street board based on Mii Fashion Plaza.
15:45: At this point, I'd choose the Mario hat if I were Jon because I'd be only the shoes away from the complete Mario outfit, which is worth a solid 16 points.
16:45: I'd choose the Pirate set if I were Chugga (see explanation at the 6:56 bullet for more details).
17:35: YES. I'd like to see you guys make announcements like that to the audience about each outfit you show off.

Nintendotron64 What’s more, the clothes offered change up each time you play (obviously from a set pool, but they could’ve easily just had it be Cowboy/Ninja/Mario/Party/Caveman every time).

I never actually saw that meme in the episode itself. I skipped to a random point 2 minutes into it and it was him ranting about cartoons like he usually does in Lets Plays like this.

Ray Jams Well X & Y and BotW both have mix and matching of premade clothes, so maybe Jon doesn’t necessarily have as much of an edge as you think.

Game Freak may handle the main games, but The Pokémon Company has their name in far more Pokémon games than Game Freak does...and then there’s all those other Pokémon based media like the temporary café, the anime, the various manga, the TCG, Go, etc.

Point is Pokémon-related things can show up anywhere without The Pokémon Company/Nintendo ordering a C&D so long as it goes through the proper channels or is different enough so that they don’t catch on (like in parodies. See Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy or South Park).
