- Most people view the Wii U as a failure, but it still had a fantastic library of games to play. So I decided to put together my list of the Top 25 Wii U games! Remember, these are just my opinions. Thanks for Watching!

Most of which were ported to the Switch. There's really no reason to play the Wii U nowadays.
They can all be emulated on pc

The Wii U has an amazing library and I’m happy they ported a ton of it to the Switch for more people to enjoy it, including myself.
Virtual console on the Wii u is unbeatable to the Switch
I always loved 3d world and really wanted to play it but it was only on the wii u and i had the switch my first console but when they Ported 3d world to the switch i Went CRAZY
The Wii U library is outstanding in terms of the ratio of great games to flops.
But the number of titles is SO limited, especially for 3rd-Party Developers.
I was actually surprised that people didn't like the console. I guess it went more for the console itself rather than the games. Because this game library was sick
I'd like to add Sonic All-Stars Racing Transformed to this list. It is an excellent counterpart to Mario Kart, and actually reminds me a lot of Diddy Kong Racing on the N64 in many ways, namely the appeal to *slightly* more hardcore players.
Got my Wii U November 29 2012 (one day before official launch!) and still Love it
It was so underrated. As everyone says: the Wii U walked, so the Switch could run. This console set Nintendo up for greatness!

Wait! You forgot something, Zombi U! Not even an honorable mention that game is amazing, it doesn’t make zombies into the weakest creature ever, the zombies can take a beating, they survive a headshot, multiplayer where one player (Gamepad) places zombies to capture flags and hunt the player while the other uses the Wii U Pro Controller or Wiimote & Nunchuck to shoot zombies and capture the flag, single player where when you die, you have to hunt your corpse or zombified past self to get your stuff back. You forgot to include one of the best 3rd party games that perfectly uses the Gamepad, if you want to open your inventory in single-player, you open your backpack on the Gamepad to grab stuff, and your defenseless while doing so.
He forgot zelda breath of the wild too
I don’t care about what people say about the Wii U, it was my first console ever and it’ll always have a place in my heart.

I still play Splatoon 1 to this day. There are a surprisingly large number of people still playing it online.

People forget that the WiiU is fully compatible with Wii games . It's the best option to experience the huge Wii library

Nintendo Land was the first game I ever played when my Dad came home with a WiiU because the oil field he worked in was giving out PS3s and Xbox 360s and the Wii U caught his eye, I still remember watching my dad setting it up while I was on the couch

I believe that Pikmin 3 can feel a lot more seamless as far as the controls when playing with the GamePad only, despite it feeling more natural to players who have played the previous Wii remasters to play with the remote and nunchuk.
just bought a wii u recently and I am amazed how good the console is. this helped me find the right games to play
This video helped me realize how underrated the Wii U was. The biggest problem it had was that the games were spread out too much to where it didn't feel like we were getting releases as frequently as we have been getting during the Switch era.
It still IS great and the Wii U has a wayyyyyy better library than the Switch.

Thank you! I really enjoyed this video. My daughter has finally gotten old enough to play with me and I’m looking for our next new game. We have several on this list including the top 3 or 4! I think we need to go ahead and get the pikmin and lego games on this list.
You pretty much put all my wishlist/owned games on the list haha. So happy to finally be getting my first ever Wii U in a matter of weeks.
It’s a great console my dad pre ordered it but unfortunately we sold it to buy another switch but it was so fun
One of the best purchases I ever made was a Wii U with Zelda BotW, TP, and WW, Smash Bros, and Mario Cart. I did this a year after the Switch launch and got that whole package at gamestop for under $300.

I know some of these are unpopular, but I would have personally had Star Fox Zero, Paper Mario Color Splash, and Wii Fit U in the top 10 as well

Nintendo Land’s situation is truly depressing. It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played, but it will never be able to reach its true potential in terms of reach because it is only available on a console that relatively few people have. And unlike other Wii U titles, it can’t really be ported to the switch because of how heavily it relies on the Wii U’s hardware. Every single game would be downgraded if Nintendo attempted to port the games over, meaning it’s only hope would be a sequel that has a similar gameplay loop but features new attractions instead of ported ones.
The Wii U imo is underrated
One if my favourite games on Wii u is the nes remix games I loved playing classics with a twist it curtain goal I found it more enjoyable than just playing the plain game

i think its nuts how wonderful 101, tms:fe and especially bayonetta 2 were put as honourable mentions, while nfs, disney infinity and lego city undercover made the cut.

I love the Wii u more than switch and I play it right to this day
There needs to be a Nintendo land 2. Not only would the old games return with a few improvements or additions, but some new games from different franchises, and new games from included franchises, of which may be based off of other stuff from their respective games or something. It would be 1-5 players usually, or it could be up to 10 players for certain modes. (Granted you play online with other players from another system. Or you could connect multiple switches together via a separate application available from switch online, like download play from the 3ds.)
Example: Luigi's ghost mansion with 10 players. 2 players would be ghosts, and the other 8 players would be the hunters. This addition would include new maps, and some maps even having another floor. (perhaps a minimap would be in order, some maps would be made for groups of more then 5 players.) New maps included would be themed around locations from past games, such as Luigi's Mansion/spooky themed Mario kart tracks, Luigi's Mansion: Dark moon, and Luigi's mansion 3.

Great but difficult goal if you want a full set of games that ever where released
I started around 2 years ago and availability of some games is rather bad equal to some prices of others
If you are familiar with japanese language it's great when reaching out of exclusive titles
Region lock is the biggest issue that bugs me about Wii U
However there are really nice games out there to play and most of them still do not cost that much, but it's availability more of an issue there than prices

There's a haxchi on it that you need to launch from the Startmenu
I think it doesn't harm the boot process of the Wii U so it acts like a normal Wii U if you do not launch haxchi which I find nice for some reason

For some precisions about the xenolade franchise, you have to know yhat the others xenoblade games are really different : they have the most wonderfull, huge and creatives stories but they don't have an exploration as good a XCX's exploration. Also, the fight system of XCX is really good, but not well explained. For example, the game doesn't teach you to use the overdrive wich is a shame because it reprensent the half of what this game have to offer in therms of fight. (if you wanna learn how to fight well on this game, Enel did 2 videos about it where he explain everything).
Otherwise I agree with a lot of things with your list, even I wouldn't probably put Nintendo Land in the second place (or third place counting BOTW).
Thanks for the info! I'll definitely keep trying to learn the combat of XCX, and I'm still pretty interested in the other Xenoblade games, particularly the first one. But it's good to know they aren't as focused on exploration.

For understand well how cheated is the overdrive, you can actually one-shot telethia, the endbringer ON FOOT !
The Wii U reminds me of the Sega Dreamcast, it wasn't around very long, but later on they ported a lot of the games to PS2/Gamecube and Xbox, just like the Switch got the Wii U games.

Great video man! Not exactly my list but I mostly agree. This was a great video to highlight why the WiiU was so great! If it weren’t for these line up of games to the switch I don’t know if the switch would be as popular.

I just got a Wii U from Ebay, and I gotta say, I'm loving this thing so far :) I have actually been enjoying playing Donkey Kong and Bowser in Skylanders Superchargers, because as far as I know, its the only platformer/racing game that I can play them, besides Skylanders Imaginators.
I actually prefer Skylanders Superchargers over Disney Infinity 3.0, even though I love Disney. Superchargers is my favorite Skylanders game out of the whole series.
I do have all the Disney Infinity and Skylanders games, along with Lego Dimensions for my PS3 and PS4, but its nice playing Superchargers on a different platform with 2 Nintendo characters and vehicles :)

Terraria is my favorite game of all time, it was basically all i played for a year straight but i dont play it anymore. Ive never seen it on anyones list for anything until now.
This game system WAS my childhood, smash bros, wooly world, mario 3d world, tropical freeze, mario kart, rayman legends, and so much more, so many nights me and my friends would stay up all night eating little caesars pizza and playing super smash.

You missed out a couple of nice games but which are rather short in playtime compared to your list and some still/only available on the E-Shop
There's enough room to make another list about Wii U games where the use of the Gamepad is very essential for playing
Games like Affordable Space Adventures or have a very unique style in presentation and story telling like Teslagrad
I own around 95+ Games for the system and I'm sometimes getting asked about games that I know and could recomend that are playable either on TV or the Game PAD
Still I haven't been playing a lot of my collection yet but those I did through make satisfying usage of PAD Features so far
A great console with backwards compatibility to nice Wii Games great availability of software through the E-Shop and as well huge potential if beeing modded
Sadly though time is running out quickly for purchasing software from EShop so one might hurry to buy wanted games as long as it's available, getting some decent discounts lately on some games

Everybody I talk to about the Wii U said it was trash but I love it. I been trying to find some more games to play. Ever since they shut down the store, it’s gonna be harder to get games now.

My brother gave me his Wii U yesterday, he had it collecting dust and since i never experienced it, he just said, here, take it, it has all accessories, the tablet is complete, the console is a black variant 32GB. Has one digital game (MarioKart 8) and 5 physical discs. Skylanders Imaginators, ESPN spotrs collection, Wipeout: Create & Crash, and the 2 best on the list, Super Mario Bros. U and Super Smash Bros. The 2 controller's are 3rd party though, everything else is Nintendo authentic, even the power bricks, tablet charger, controller charger and the motion sensor.
Edit: Forgot to list a Lego Marvel Game.
Zelda BoTW is probably the best game I ever played

I agree that there needs to be more original lego games. I loved the original lego games like lego island and lego rock raiders I believe it’s called. It’s sad that all the recent lego games have to be based off some other franchise.
this list can be basically filtered down quite well when majority of these tiles are on switch or are playable on other console systems, wish there was a decent list for the exclusives instead, im recently trying to get the best games for my wii collection but it's proving difficult
