Take your time in the best suggestion is to buy any extension and wiggle extension you can find. Especially the ones that have those weird angles. You’ll definitely need them. Good luck.
Were you able to see any clear signs of cracks in the oil pickup tube? The video showed a little bit of it but it wasn’t clear enough to see any visible cracks
Airwalk Camper it was mainly on the gasket the pick up tube itself was okay but the gasket was really old and cracking. For some reason there was a two part oil pan. You should look up Mr. Subaru on TH-cam he helped give me the confidence to work on my own car👍🏽
@@Cozmo85 Psh no way!!! The OEM part was around $75, Silicon for resealing was like $7 and all new oil and filter was $30. Just took me a few hours. Definitely research but I believe you can do it 🙏🏽👍🏽
I like the music and the death patch on the jacket ;) \m/ I have a vintage death sticker on my Subaru. Turns out that oil pan, the black and silver part both pieces are on the bottom of my 2009 Subaru engine.. sketchy. Not sure what happened there but it doesn’t fit with my frame very well. I have to pull the whole motor if I want to do anything with it. Fucking sucks
Doing this in a fee days on my 2011 2.5i. Upper and lower pan is leaking. Worried about the rear bolts on the upper pan. Looks hard to get to.

Is there a bolt inside the upper oil pan that holds the lower pan to it because im trying to pry the lower pan off but its not coming off
There will be a few bolts holding the pan but it will take some careful prying to takeoff once the bolts are removed 👍🏽
You pulled it without pulling the engine?
Yes, it was pretty easy. Mr.Subaru has a video on it too 👍🏽
@@cryptoisaac Thanks, ill have to find it. Dealer told me my upper pan was leaking and wants $950 to fix it.

The music when you were applying the RTV was absolutely hilarious and made me smile huge. Thanks man
its just because its easier for the tech to pull the motor rather than fumble around on the ground@@Cozmo85
