I put a bigger airfilter on mine as the smaller one tends to be very noisy, you can hear it suck and that created a lot of noise on the highway for me.

Hello Sergey how did you plug the holes under the intake tubes and you said you did nothing with the vent air boxes and you used the cdi vacum tube to number 4 intake tube can you please tell me a little more about this your help will be nice thanks.
Hello Steven, There is only one intake tube (or socket) located on #4 cylinder which is connected to CDI unit. Original ventilation system includes crankcase breather located forward on the left swingarm pivot connected to filter box with air filter inside which in turn connects with storage tank and drain tube. In case you run single carb conversion kit there is no air filter box and you have to connect crankcase breather directly to storage tank with a drain tube. Regards, Sergey

Hi Sergey, I have a 1980 GL1100 I am thinking about doing this conversion to also. How does the single carburetor perform while riding it? Does it perform well while riding? I have heard the single carb might not perform as well at high rpms but would like to hear from someone who actually did the conversion. Thanks!

It’s not “electronic” by the meaning. I’d say it’s mechanical. You activate it by pooling the throttle. From the other hand it’s deactivated because of the temperature (bimetallic)

Ниже - хуже. На моей практике расход в 10 л/100 км был только один раз. Когда мне пришлось проехать 270 км без остановки, но на высокой (для GL1200) скорости в 150-160км/ч

В США я и заказывал Solex, там же в Калифорнии по моим чертежам изготовили коллектор. Просто я хотел лично убедиться в том, что эта система жизнеспособна и надёжна.

One thing, I used a plastic tie-wrap to secure the fuse box to the wire loom off to the side. That allows me to still use the tool tray

Sergey..what fuel economy you getting buddy? I only get a range of 200km on a tank with std carbs.
Hi. That means something wrong with your carbs. I get 35-37 mpg or 6-7L/100 km.

Sergey do you heat ur manifold?
No. There is no need of it if you don't ride on winter:) If you ride +15C and higher you don't need extra manifold heating.

I have a 85 1200 aspencade..putting a be carb on.but my factory intake boots don't fit the manifold..what can I do
