@lauren, isn't that obvious? Half the people in the world will have broken the law at some point in their life. Lots will have been caught and criminally convicted at least once (to earn a criminal record) whereas many many more won't have been. It's quite normal. Take soft drugs / unjust UK law. I've smoked a fair few joints in my time. But never been arrested for breaking the law. Hence, I don't have a criminal record - though some might 'legitimately' argue I should have for what I've just admitted to.

@Nuby Right. So his DNA would be there because he partied there. How can they separate DNA from partying from DNA from murders. They might not have showered since their last s-xual experience. They might have just gone to sleep. Then they get murdered and the last group they slept with would have their DNA in their bed, in and on their bodies. Let's face it. This level of partying that neighbors regularly called the cops because of wild parties, they were sleeping with whomever walked through the door.

Six weeks is not a long time to solve a case like this. And please don’t give him credit that he doesn’t deserve. He’s not that smart. He apparently drove his vehicle to the crime. And if his DNA is under the fingernails of the victims or co-mingled with the victims DNA or on/in areas of a house where he shouldn’t have been then it doesn’t matter that he was in the house. Who is really smart in this investigation are the authorities that kept the damming evidence and information that they recovered to themselves and didn’t leak it. I don't think it took so long to crack the case because he's so smart. I think first they had to investigate and rule out people in the closest circle, they said they conducted over 300 interviews - that takes time. Plus DNA test results and match up takes time. *Edit: hes also from a different school in a different state and his dna isnt in the system. Lucky they found him at all, so this short amount of time isnt that long. And we allll still have very little info so Idk how anyone is speculating how smart this guy is or not. Very few who commit evil towards others ever admit or take responsibility for their actions. He has harmed before, and now finally he has been caught. I believe this is the male who killed 4 people for no other reason than his ego & evilness. Make no mistake, these male serial killers, abusers, rapists are first cowards. That is the first characteristic of all killers, abusers, rapists.

Thank you for saying that! I'm a "true crime " junkie, so to speak, and that is the conclusion I've drawn after seeing so many stories of killers and their victims. The vast majority of the victims are weaker in some way... young women, old people, children, homeless, prostitutes, disabled people. Hundreds, if not thousands of hours I've spent reading, watching videos (interrogations, press conferences, actual trials, etc) and the one thing almost all victims have in common is they were somehow "weaker than" the killer. It's an extremely rare case where the killer chose a healthy, physically fit male victim. It does happen sometimes, but very rare, and when they do choose to murder a healthy male, the murder weapon is almost always a gun, and often, shot in the back. They wouldn't dare to try stabbing a man who could fight back. They are cowards, above all else. They choose little girls (Abby and Libby), 80 or 90 year old men and women, young intoxicated college students, etc. This guy would have never had the guts to face off with these students in broad daylight. No, he waited until they were drunk and asleep in bed to attack. He capitalized on their vulnerability, as do all murderers. Edit: I include abusers, rapists and pedophiles in that opinion, too. I've never heard of someone attempting to rape or abuse a 200 lb 6 foot tall, physically fit man (with the exception of Amber Heard types/ DV). Strangers don't jump out of bushes to sexually assault and abuse men in the prime of their life, that's for sure.
