- Accused Idaho killer Bryan Kohberger previously studied under Dr. Katherine Ramsland, who is a serial killer expert. Ramsland is known for having developed a close relationship with the serial killer Dennis Rader, more commonly known as BTK.

I admire Dennis Rader 's daugther for talking so openly ,honesty and publicly . She said she suffers from chronic PTSD and therefore it takes a huge amount of courage to come under the whole media spotlight .
She's amazing and I'm so glad to see that she's not just living but thriving.

It's extraordinary that a man as evil as BTK raised a strong, eloquent, compassionate daughter. It's so commendable and humbling to hear her speak as yet another victim of her father's. Excellent job on the part of the interviewer for LISTENING and letting her speak and educate. I pray peace over her and her family.
Well he was living a double life at home and in his community he was a normal guy plus his wife is a normal lady so her childhood was good so the she was nurtured instead of having a demented father that would traumatize his own child with his secret lifestyle, also looks like she is already been healing so that will help so her father messed up personality doesn't show up later in her family bloodline, with that said I agree she's awesome and very compassionate about doing whatever she can to contribute to helping society fight against these monsters.
Yet another reason/example that people need to quit blaming everything/ everyone on there childhood and using it as a reason to be a piece of sh!t...

This young woman is amazing. She has found her way through incomprehensible darkness... she is a thinker who has a great deal to say, and the compassion to extend her energy to helping others. And Brian Entin impresses more and more - the core ability of a good journalist is to LISTEN, and he does that very well. Bravo to both of you.

I'm an adopted child. I used to wonder who my parents were...and I used to realize that there are children who wish that they DIDN'T know who their parent are.
Don't think negative maybe your biological parents were young lovers and didn't have the needs to support a child is all to give up a baby takes a lot of courage and heart ache when u give up ur baby you give a part of ur heart ur
I was adopted too, and I literally used to say, I don't care if my father is an axe murderer, I still need to know who he is. 😳Turns out he was the leader of a gospel/western band, so nothing too nefarious; but just knowing that completed me, even though he passed long before we could meet. I'm thankful it didn't turn out the way I speculated it might 🙏😬
I’m fostered and my maternal brother killed 2 people. One accidental, one deliberate. I feel guilty over them and I haven’t seen the guy since I was 11. I wish I didn’t know who my parents and siblings were. It’d make things easier in some ways.
My childhood was "I wish I was dead". Now it's "I'm glad my Mom's dead". Knowing isn't always a good idea.

I think that "knowing" can prevent accidental/inadvertent entanglements with strangers....I'm sure you've heard stories of siblings going to the same school, dating, some even marry because they didn't have their own info. 😳 I hope that perhaps you can see your way to do a bit of genealogy, and maybe find some admirable people further back that you can feel good about. 💗

I give credit to the family of the murderer if they properly admit that their family member is the killer...as this daughter does in this interview. Kohberger's family hasn't made any admission of guilt but come across as still being willfully blind to the facts. This isn't just an accusation. There are 4 warrants for their son that a court approved issuance of.
This young woman so valiantly and powerfully explains what no one else can. I don't know if she has already done so but she needs to write a book talking about her road to healing from her trauma. I pray that the families of other crime victims/survivors can see this interview. She is remarkable. I wish her and her loved ones peace.

Bleh. There’s endless books, psychologists and such to help folks deal with trauma and PTSD. Personally I want to learn more about being raised by a psychopath, possible signs one could look for when one is hidden in your midst. Things like that.

You truly grasp the big picture and I am so grateful that you have the courage and strength to speak out. Please continue to share all that you have learned. I thought the same thing all through this interview. It brought me to tears to hear her voice start to break at times but she kept going knowing how important it is to share what she knows and her perspective. She is a very strong, caring and brave woman. I pray her father will leave her alone.

My heart completely breaks for her. With how dark her fathers heart is, her heart is equally light. She chooses to carry around a very heavy weight on her shoulders and I know to her it probably doesn't seem like a choice but it is. She could easily just learn to ignore it but she chooses to use it as way to make the world better. I hate how some people go after the families of these murders like they are to blame. That is not fair, we are not North Korea, or China, or the USSR. The old saying is the son isn't guilty of the sins of the father, but I think the versus is better suited in this case. The Father is not guilty of the sins of the Son. I pray that Raders' daughter finds peace in her heart and mind.

@@Maui_Gyrl_ Ramsey is BTK’s daughter. The guy caught for killing those 4 students in Idaho may be connected to BTK as he studied him under the professor who taught the criminology classes.
Massive respect for this woman, being able to stand back and be so objective after all she’s been through, she is amazing.
I was riveted as she described the nature of serial killers like her father and how they can turn it off and on and so many other ways they mask their secrets. Any of us can be living among them and be clueless. I can hear the pain in her voice and see it in her face. Brian Entin was exceptional in this interview, asked great questions and knew when to keep quiet and let this amazing young woman speak her thoughts. I'm glad speaking out helps her because it is helping so many people on so many levels. God be with her and comfort her.
Long-term abusers are the same way with being able to turn it on and off. Ask any victim of domestic violence.. they'll tell you how their abuser would act charming and normal in front of others, but acting like violent monsters behind closed doors. I think there may be a connection between men who abuse violently and serial killers. Only difference really, is that abusers are more focused on maintaining control and possession of the victim and hold back from killing them (unless they snap too far, kill victim on accident or kill them because the victim tries leaving & they lose the control and possession) and serial killers enjoy the process of killing their victims. Seems their motives are different, but the lack of empathy, perpensity to violence, ability to turn it on and off and lie so effortlessly, are all very similar between both groups.

Brian Entin is my absolute favorite Journalist. He is dedicated to facts, detail, and truth in reporting.

Oh my God….this poor woman. I just want to hug her and tell her she’s not seen as an extension of her dad. What a horrific trauma she and her family has endured. They are victims of BTK, too. She’s going through life with such a heavy burden.

I'm glad people listen to this woman. I lived with a psychopathic narcissist who died in 1995. My kids still put him on a pedestal. Im fortunate though. At least he is out of my life!
@@annemccarron2281 It may take your kids having their own children to get a bigger picture of who their father really was. Narcissists are experts at being able to turn or to switch between their own "personalities" depending upon who they're interacting with. It's a lot easier for a child to believe a parent is perfect than believe that parent has committed evil acts, esp against someone they love.
@@annemccarron2281 If these are older children (young adults and above) it's also possible that your children inherited some of his traits and therefore cannot see them; so please beware of this possibility and guard against any potential manipulation. It's also possible that they were just too young to comprehend his behavior and he may have treated them very differently than he treated you. I am sorry though, either way, that you do not have their support in that way. That is very tough. Hopefully you can at least avoid the subject with them because they won't suddenly see it. You seem balanced and I wish you Godspeed.

But you have taken the right path and are doing a lot for people in being honest about your feelings, and about the hardships you and your family have faced. I completely understand that a family can have no idea of the deviancy that their beloved family member is engaging in. This has got to be one of the best interviews I have ever seen. It was so charitable for Kerri Rawson to be willing to be interviewed and to be so open and honest. Her resilience, courage, and strength is beyond impressive. She is an incredibly wise women and so articulate. She did this interview even though she is going through unimaginable suffering and is having her wounds ripped open again. I am so sad for everything she has gone through and will continue to go through. Thank God she had the courage to get help and is beyond kind to help others. I really appreciate her level of empathy for everyone involved, including Kohberger's family. I have seen very hurtful, unfair, and judgmental statements regarding his family. They have got to be going through absolute hell. I am also impressed with Brian Entin's interviewing skills. He was respectful, kind, sensitive and allowed Kerri to talk. I applaud him for that. His compassion showed all over his face. I am so deeply sorry for the tragic loss of these precious college students, Madison, Xana, Kaylee ,and Ethan. My heart breaks for their families and loved ones. Nothing is worse than losing a child. God bless them all including Kerri and the roommates who survived. God bless the police for doing such an excellent job.

This truly was an incredible interview. I’m glad she was able to say everything she did and explain things that some of us would have never even thought of from that perspective. I truly hope she can find peace and not hurt so bad from what her father did when she was a child.

It was profound that Kerri said, "there was nothing stopping him from his deviant behavior by asking for help." I'm from Washington St/ Seattle, both the Green River Killer Gary Ridgeway and Ted Bundy said they were well aware that they're behavior was wrong but they rationalized it. I hope Kerri can heal as she talks more about her experience and learn to live with this infamy ❤️. I appreciate how Kerri would want to help Kohberger's family. She knows what they're going through. I hope his family cooperates with LE to get answers. And I agree with Kerri that her father will be pleased if there is a connection to him and Kohberger.

Wow. What an intelligent and informed woman. She really asked some of the best questions, at least brought them up for discussion and debate. I’m blown away by the position she took and things she questioned. You can also tell she has been through some terrible and traumatic experiences. Praying for her continued healing.
This woman was INCREDIBLE. So bright. So well spoken. And especially, so compassionate. The suffering she endures even til this day is heartbreaking. And this interviewer was amazing. Very patient, respectful and sincere.

She truly brings a light to a unique perspective. I’m impressed by her emotional health and objectivity. She mentioned advised not to speak to media when her father was first identified. Perhaps she was not as healed or ready at that time, but she has obviously found her voice now! Bless her.
I feel for Kerri! I met Dennis a handful of times in my youth, we knew him as the dog catcher. He would run us out of the ditch (which I remember as being huge, but recently saw it and it’s actually very small) more than once. He scared us because he was a person of authority and we were all between the ages of 6 and 9. Later, when it came out that he was BTK and lived literally just around the corner from us, I froze! One day he walked up to our house on a day that my sister would be just arriving home from school and would normally be alone. My brother was working under his car and saw Radar quickly walking towards the door. My brother pulled out from under the car and said, “what do you want, Radar?” Radar just turned and walked quickly away. My brother still thinks that our sister was meant to be his next/last victim. I am traumatized by just that little bit. I KNOW Kerri has a whole bunch more terror in her life! My heart goes out to her!
Wild you met that weirdo. My college housemate sent me into a bakery for a cookie. I was looking for a brunette with a big nose. I adore that. Instead there was a guy in the back. I got a glimpse of him. Sometime later he was arrested for murder. He was a freak. My friend had told me he was really strange. He was right. Haden Clark has documentaries on him.

I didn’t expect to listen to more than a minute or two of this interview. This young woman is so impressive with her understanding of what families of killers go through, and that of the families of the victims. She’s very astute, articulate and compassionate. I learned a lot about the making of a serial killer from her. Granted. I’ve never been interested in anything related to it before. This case has been so unusual from the beginning that I found myself like so many others, following it closely. I sincerely hope the families of the victims and the Kohberger family can get the help they need to cope with this tragedy. She even pointed out how the lives of everyone involved, including the young police officers who went in the house first, will be affected by this case. They all will need help coping.

Well said!!!! I seriously thought to myself, give it a listen, and I was blown away by her point of view on this situation! She articulated everything so well. I feel really sorry for her. She’s a strong person obviously helping others with a huge heart. I’m also blown away that Bryan’s initials are the same as the Btk killer. Obviously, he can’t help that, but it’s all just toe curling scary!
That was a fantastic interview because she is so eloquent from knowing her father and generous to share it and Brian just let her talk because he knew it would be healing for many to hear Kerri.

It's so traumatic for the kids of serial killers because they carry around so much guilt even though they can't control what their psycho parent did, especially since serial killers often live a double life. I feel for her. It takes incredible courage to do what the daughter of BTK Killer has done and others who speak out. She is still trying to help despite the PTSD and the reality that someone so close, her own flesh & blood dad is a deranged, sadistic monster. Bless her for being so brave and I hope she is able to find peace through it all.

I can relate. My cousin murdered his wife and was on the news the following days asking her to "come home" as he reported her "missing" while holding their toddler in his arms, showing how good of a father he is. They found her body in a suitcase in an abandoned house a few weeks later. As the family of a psychopath there is such a feeling of shame. I hate him. I hope every day he gets unalived in prison. The worse part happened recently. The Supreme Court overturned his conviction and he is allowed another trial. We, his blood family (my mom, his aunt, my immediate fam), KNOW he did it - we have no doubts at all. The fact he was able to get a second trial is devastating and terrifying. i never went for trauma counselling ongoing. I did when it first happened because I had to take some time off work, I was completely mentally affected....maybe I should now too....

@@valeriasanchez5796 I feel the only way I can find peace is if he's convicted again and hopefully for longer than 32 years (term of first conviction) so we won't have to think about it for decades again. The thing is his 2 confessions cannot be used in the second trial. So that's a HUGE blow.

Kerri, I as a Mom and a Trauma Survivor (nothing like what happened in your life my Dear), I thank you for having the courage to speak up about what you unfortunately witnessed and lived through, in telling us how psychopaths can turn it off and on, how the exist in plain sight. It 8s the unfortunate truth. My heart sends you an enormous hug for your strength, your wisdom, your courage to speak and to want to help. You are correct, that talking helps you deal with your trauma, so thank you for sharing that also. My family can't deal with the point I am at where I do speak about my trauma. Holding it in will slowly kill you. You are a wonderful person and inspiring to other trauma Survivors. I am proud of you for all you have done and continue to do. Also, your interviewer should be commended as well, for letting you talk, not being overbearing in other words 'having a conversation ' with you. More journalists need to follow that lead. 🙏🙏🙏

This was an excellent, honest, brave, and powerful interview she gave. So many points to think about, comparisons, the mindset - the questions she still has and will always have. The devastation of all those involved when someone can hide their 'other self' so well. How she reflected on her feelings then and now and how they changed her life. Such a brave woman. I pray that she truly gets healing (as best as she can) for all the trauma she's been through.

Prof Ramsland is a renowned expert and professor on serial killers and has specifically studied BTK. She's been in phone communication with him for decades. The suspect in the Idaho murders was a current student of the professor.

I felt her pain throughout this entire interview. I can’t even begin to imagine the shock and grief that must have taken place for Kerri when she finally came to terms that her Father was BTK. I can’t even imagine what this young woman has gone through. I was recently diagnosed with PSTD due to a neighbor stalking me and I’m going through hell waiting for the police to arrest him.
