  • If you want to start a business, this is THE book you should read. I’ve read a lot of business books and a lot of them are blah blah blah, a lot of yapping, not a long of actionable bits - but this one is not like that.
    I read Million Dollar Weekend in 4 hours while our internet was down - so here are 4 of the biggest lessons from this book.

    1. Go looking for rejections just for the sake of getting rejections. Hone that ability to ask in the right way.
    2. Don't abandon anything before doing that 100x after ample experimentation.
    3. Market validation is key.
    4. Set realistic, small goals.

    One of the biggest things I've realized about adulthood is how crazy it is what you can get if you're willing to ask. The fact that this is surprising probably means I'm far too conservative with my requests, setting a rejection goal could really help with that

    • @MyNameIsDeya
      @MyNameIsDeya  หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      ah i totally understand the struggle -- it took me yeaaaars to even admit I wanted a business of my own. The only way I started was by actually creating a 15-min a day rule for myself where every day for at least 15 minutes, I'd work on my business, even if that was just 15 mins laying on the floor thinking about it haha
      The small, tiny steps every day made the biggest difference; that business has gone on to make hundreds of thousands of dollars now. It all began with a 15-min commitment! :) Couple that with trying a LOT of times + actively seeking rejection and you can't go wrong! You'll get incredible feedback from potential customers/clients and can then build a business that really solves problems for them + is a win-win for both. Cheering you on -- keep me updated! :)

    Wow Deya that was such an insightful video. I am in corporate and desperately trying to start my own thing in a hobby that also grew into a love that expands from my industrial psychology vocation.I don't have much time to waste, so this is such a wonderful way to get insights into these books to optimise my time over weekends as I grow my little side gig into something I can also one day feel about as you do. Your passion is contagious. Thank you for your content - I know what it takes to go into creating it and it is high value content that will go further miles in this world where people need substance and value to fuel them.

    I randomly came across your video. I also started an EdTech business in Bangkok. Still under development but has talked to only a group of private school teachers to craft the value proposition. But here is why I had to hit that subscribe button which I normally dont. The rejection object really makes sense. I will definitely try. Never thought of it that way.
    NB. I like the way you talk and your rationale in things. Keep making videos. Thx a lot.

    Beautiful job with this. Thanks for the breakdown! Noah is awesome. For Service Business Pros btw, Selling the Invisible is an oldie but a goodie. Hope that helps!
