I've read over 200 books on making money. 75% of the books were either useless, or flat-out wrong. But a handful changed my life. Today I'm going over the top 19 along with the most important lessons I learned from each one, and how these lessons can change your life as well.
The goal is simple: I'm going to teach you how to make so much money that nobody can ever tell you what to do ever again. Here's how:
We break it down into 4 steps:
    1. Make it
    2. Build it
    3. Keep it
    4. Enjoy it
I'll tell you what each of those steps mean, and how you can get in the right mindset so you're on the path to growth, rather than the path of stagnation. Positive change requires effort, and if you don't believe change is even possible, then you're starting off with the wrong frame of mind. The destination can't be reached if you're traveling in the wrong direction--or worse, you're not traveling at all.
Have you read any books that have positively affected your life? What lessons did you learn? Comment below!

I am an impoverished widow. I was told by my father - and fully believed until I began to question it recently - that 'making money requires the discipline of a prima ballerina.' I used to be a dancer, so I know how miserably difficult that is. Therefore, I always shied away from it. I am embarrassed to be taking advice from a woman young enough to be my granddaughter, but I'm making my way through your reading list, nonetheless. Thanks!

Success depends on the actions or steps you take to achieve it. Building wealth involves developing good habits like regularly putting money away in intervals for solid investments. Financial management is a crucial topic that most tend to shy away from, and ends up haunting them in the near future.., I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life!!

I'm always on the prowl for my next read and this is a great list of books. A quick correction, I noticed the book list in the description area, you have the wrong author attributed to the book "The One Thing". I also really like your recommendations on whether to listen or read the books, or both! Super helpful.

Respect for the value you are adding to lives Cody. In the spirit of the pursuit of truth not ego… the example you gave @16.00 with taking home $750k vs $150k… it’s (as you know) 400% more, rather than 60% more. Seemingly pedantic, but really it’s simply emphasising the point that you yourself were imparting… about the need to look at the bottom line and not simply the top.

Good topic. Thanks, Codie, for the list. I agree with some and disagree with others.
    1. Mindset - excellent
2 Principles - pass, mostly Ray talking about meritocracy. Just read between the lines to see that the system is, as always, fully gamed.
    3. Money - yes, listen to this one. His voice and ideas are inspirational.
    4. Side Hustle Bible - DNR, probably will
    5. Economic Facts and Fallacies - move to the top of your reading list
    6. Rich Dad - I guess, but as you are reading this list it's not that important
    7. Zero to One - interesting, think of it as the intro to the Road to Oligarchy
    8. $100 Startup - if you're rich no need, everyone else, yes
    9. 48 Laws of Power - a must, should be in another list, such as "about life". Greene is an exceptional writer!
    10. The $100M Offers - DNR, doubt I will
    11. Never Split the Difference, yes, super fun
    12. The One Thing - DNR, but now will
    13. Merger Mastery - informative, but down the list. One more tool for the Oligarchy. As publicly traded companies are consumed into private equity funds and fade from view and government oversight.
    14. The Long and the Short of it - DNR, probably won't
    15. Mastering the VC Game - sure, if you're under 30 (maybe 25)
    16. Good to Great - absolutely, groundbreaking
    17. Only the Paranoid Survive - DNR, probably won't, this just becomes the general sense of things after a while. I reference back to "Principles".
    18. Your Money or Your Life - DNR, probably will, looks very interesting
19 Adventure Capitalist - DNR, looks like some good ideas for a life of fun and excitement, WNR

There was a mindfulness meditation workbook called 30 Days to Drop a Bad Spending Habit by Corin Devaso that I liked. Had nothing to do with money; but had everything to do with getting to know who you are...because the issue with money is that it's "you" who are dealing with it...and most people don't know themselves.

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.
