Rod and his wife from Hahn river roadhouse are deadset legends,we broke down in car going up and broke camper coming back. These 2 went above and beyond to help us still have the perfect trip.People need to make this a overnighter stop on there trip. Just a pity ozzie is no longer with us.
I can vouch for the Hahn River RH. It’s situated in a spot that never really suited us as an overnight stop during our tips up to Cape York. We stopped their for our first time on the way back south in 2022, not long before a driver cleaned up the poor pet emu they had and kept on driving. It’s such a top spot and it’ll be included in our future trips as a definite stop over destination.
Love part 1 of this trip, guys. Excellent footage, and top notch wheeling as always. Nothing beats your premier Australian 4WD-24/7 videos for quality and action where it matters most, ON the trails. Camping hijinks always an added bonus, and the fellow sponser wheelers are always a good bunch to put their rigs to a challenge no matter the trails. Keep up the amazing work and footage! 👍👍
That would of been heart dropping and mood killer for all with that 200 going down. But this has been the BEST intro to the show yet! Cheers for putting it on the line guys. Im sure the compensation and rewards are worth it !
Absolutely amazing, love the content, the problems encountered along with the combined skills where little additional information from any knowledgeable driver helps the group confirm the problem, step ahead and force your path forward.
Unbelievable footage! Make even us US 4WDers here in Utah (With Moab and the like) long for the beautiful beach campsites and crazy conditions in Cape York.
Another great video. Agree with your comment about people kicking up dust, so frustrating. We've done the GRR twice, both times travelling slow similar speeds to what you were. Never had an issue. Looking forward to the next. Thanks for sharing.
Cant believe I only found this channel last week I dream of tracks like these over here in the UK also I love you don't have to wait too long to see the meat in these films, hooked from start to finish
Guys! Please tell me part 2 is being posted this Thursday! I've waited so long it feels like to finish this trip with you!!! You guys are Legends!!! Best U tube show in my opinion and I'm an American!!! I'll be taking a trip to Cape York and Tassi thanks to you guys! One life don't waste it on the couch!!! Build something cool and beat it like it owes you money!!! From Albany New York 🇺🇸
city slicker here, found the last video by chance absolutely loved it and the adventure thats goin with it, lovin this one so far as well great content great bunch of blokes, ive only ever heard about cape york in passing what a beautiful wild neck of the woods.
I don't know what it is but it's always the wettest, the hottest and the toughest tracks! But here I am coming back and enjoying every minute. Good on ya for creating great videos guys.
Hi there from Wyoming USA. My name is James and I was wondering if you could go thru your videos and just pull out your bush cooking sections and make a video on those? I would like to try them for myself at home. If that's possible it would be awsome thank you
Can’t wait to hit the cape York tracks in our hj47 for the first time with my pop and old man, you guys make us froth every time you post something 🤌🏽😂
message to shaun , cooking eggs in the skillet olive oil in the skillet and place the eggs in when the eggs purk up flip them over to double the size of the eggs, both yellows and white ONLY OLIVE OIL DOES THAT, WHEN USING VEGTABLE OIL IT SHRINKS THE ITEM THAT YOUR COOKING. SO FOR THOSE BIG COOK OUTS FOR DINNER REMEMBER OLIVE OIL OR AVOCADO OIL. THE OLD PAPER FILTER? SHAUN? K&N FILTER WATERPROOF FILTER? in the military we use a womans queen size panteyhose with a lite spray of waterproofing spray over the pantyhose waterproofing . so if water does come in it wont go in the air intake, but run out . we also install a rubber check valve on the lower point of the air box to drain out evaporated water from the air box.
Its so interesting to see the different wheeling type you Aussies have. I wished we had 79 series here...in diesel and stick. Coming from a Jeep TJ owner and a bit of an trail (more rock than mud) aholic.
Bilge pump, that's expletive hilarious, the best ever. Whitworths get onboard. The first and only 4WD mod to make you spit your beer out and belly laugh. There should be a warning. 🤣 It would be hilarious to see other Aussie influencers subtly pick this mod up. No mention required, just a pump sticker or water being evacuated. Best ever. 👍👍👍👍👍
said it before and ill say it again, foam ear plugs are great to carry when you go through deep mud and water. at the start of the track, put the earplugs in the water drains in the bottom of the doors. if you do that and you have good door seals, it should (if not stop it completely) slow the water intake tremendously and give you way more time to perform your recovery before water gets into the car. remove them again when you are at the end of the trip.
Shauno, i know you tried to play it off and thought nobody would notice, but I'm very observant 😂 which means i saw the bit where you took your seat belt off at 31:24 then went to put it back on at 31:28 then you remembered you'd just taken it off and then had a little chuckle to yourself 😂 I love all the AWD 24/7 team, i wish I had the opportunity to join you one day Really looking forward to Part 2 now, it's a shame you guys can't do a Live Feed/Stream of the journey whilst you're out there.
When your doing the vertical drop near the end would oil starvation damage the engine at that angle if for any period of time .? great episode this …keep safe guys
Used to drive this kind of track many years ago when I worked in Arnhem Land NT.........and I got paid for having this type of fun 🙂 I always travelled on my own with no other vehicles (HF radio was king) ... black soil plains best thing ever are a few solid logs (approx. 6 inches in diameter) and good rachet straps....strap the logs to the wheels when I needed the extra traction to pull me up out of the mud. Mind you I spent many nights with the swag rolled out on the roof rack (have to keep out of reach...lol) as it could take hours/days to get out sometimes. Cars scare crocs away?...you need to watch a few Cahills Crossing videos......big crocs begrudgingly move out of the way of cars...lol Great video guys.
Something me and the boys used to do when drive testing the depth of a crossing that we couldn't walk, was to drag a length of recovery strap. That way if you go down in the middle, it's a quick hookup and tug backward. Makes for a quick recovery. Works best if you have a bloke to grab it in case the driver tries to reverse, so it doesn't get wound round the tires.
You guys should take a fishing drone when camping next to the ocean , they are compact and ideal when camping I have one here in NZ and it works really well, it's surprising how many big snapper are only 300m offshore.
Shauno mate, been loving the cooking segments lately! Going back a few eps, I’ve got a little tip for your meat logs; carry some butchers string in your kitchen draw to tie them up with. Cheers, from a Tassie chef! 🤟🏼
Just did the stedi draw and put my mums toyota prado in. We are possibly upgrading it for more beach adventures and soon off road. It's stock with 400,000km on it and needing a new turbo but it still runs like a charm
the drone shots in this are sick lads,i know the camera crew aren't always the star of the show but they are what make it,shoutout to them.
Jesse is one of the best investments 4wd 24/7 has made
Totally agree. His bush mechanic skills are top notch, too.
Totally agree. A major asset.. bush mechanic skills are top notch, spotting is spot on. He is the best
I'm here! Going to hide a beer in the beanie and watch this from work!
Cheers mate
Cheers! 🍻
😂😂
Cheers
😅😅😅😅😅
Pete’s offroad skills are under rated…

Absolute legends and a must stop for us always
@lachlang9651go for LandCruiser, prados are known for trouble on tracks.

If only TH-cam allowed a double like on a video because this episode deserves it 💯

From Kenya am loving it. You guys never disappoint
Man that track was absolutely floating quagmire, once the surface broke, it was straight to the frame rails.. awesome episode.
Ol' Pistol Pete just absolutely schooling talented drivers is my favourite thing about this channel 😂
I’m not any brand fan but Pete’s Nissan is my favourite out of this lot. Absolute capable beast! 👍🏻
Cant believe I only found this channel last week I dream of tracks like these over here in the UK also I love you don't have to wait too long to see the meat in these films, hooked from start to finish
Sean's a mad man 😂 always the first to send everything I love it 😂
The toughest trail I've watched today I lost count for how much u guys struggling but always find out a solutions, it's beautiful nature
Never a dull moment with you boys! I hate getting water/mud in my 80.

Hi there from Wyoming USA. My name is James and I was wondering if you could go thru your videos and just pull out your bush cooking sections and make a video on those? I would like to try them for myself at home. If that's possible it would be awsome thank you
G'day James - That's a great idea, thanks for that!
Commitment from the camera guys is it on point! Getting so close and covered in water like that and mud!😊
Can’t wait to hit the cape York tracks in our hj47 for the first time with my pop and old man, you guys make us froth every time you post something 🤌🏽😂
Best thing I have ever watched in TH-cam
I just enjoy watching you guys living your best life, seeing someone fully enjoy life to the fullest is inspiring and contagious

I think Pete does a good job making Patrols look the business.
Watching from the U.K., bloody marvellous, I’m jealous of you guys playing around like that.
I always love the cooking segment.. usually really easy, but so much fun.. usually. 🎉
Its so interesting to see the different wheeling type you Aussies have.

The cooking is just so wholesome. I wish I or a friend could cook that well.

Loved all the fishing in this one!
I know you have said it many times but time for Shauno to start 4wd action fishing
Pete is a next level wheeler, what a lad.
V8 Power Baby! That land cruiser is sick. Shame it's so heavy and has so much torque, it often buries itself. What a great series.
Awesome video as always 4WD 24/7 Crew.
Always love when a new video comes out .its like a new adventure every time

Was looking forward to this all week!
So nice to come home from work to a new episode and crack a coldie
Bro you guys do the most coolest things ever
Can't wait to see part 2 of this crazy but exciting adventure 😂

you guys are allways in a good mood - what a joy to wacht... I love that!!
How does the red arch system charge? Do you have solar panels on Sooty? Can you recommend an installer in nsw?
Just did the stedi draw and put my mums toyota prado in. We are possibly upgrading it for more beach adventures and soon off road. It's stock with 400,000km on it and needing a new turbo but it still runs like a charm
one of the best eps I've seen. loving it
Loving this type on videos boys, keep it up 🍻
What a beautiful view that opens up after that water crossing
