My favourite part about Shauno’s cooking segments is watching him get drunker after every cut scene. He starts off tipsy and by the time he’s serving it’s just hilarious.
There is no 4x4 content online that even closely rivals 4wd action. The rigs, the conditions, the terrain and the commentary are world class. Longtime 4x4 enthusiast (and tacoma/hilux driver) from Canada that tunes in to each episode because you aussies know what you're doing with 4x4. No bullshit talking about nothing as the vehicles traverse a prepared track in some manufacturer sanctioned press event like what comes out of north america. You guys are as real as it gets, keep it up. Props from Canada, would be a dream to get out for a rip with you boys. Shauno, fire a locker in the front of that sucker!! 😁🤙. Graham that D-maxx is a treat, would love to see that on our shores.
I agree. I don't think there's anything like that even remotely close to where I live. Overlanding just isn't that popular where I live. Everyone wants to ride ATV's and side by sides.
Idk a lot of fire roads and old logging roads in the PNW where i grew up are like this but also has big wet muddy boulders too. The missoula floods left a lot of crap in our soil layers so we get slick oily mud with chunks of rock.
Its just not advertised, everybody wants to "rock crawl" and go to moab. When i know trails/routes in washington and oregon that would total a rock crawler but your moms suv with a lift and some lockers could murder out there. Different kinds of offroading and idc about rock crawling. I have tried its too slow. The adventure is as important as the challenges. I dont want to spend a whole day and only go 12 miles
I knew these blokes meant business after 2 minutes of footage. I think that's the time it took for them to drown a windshield, use a line snap weight and actually truly abuse a truck properly. Getting in trouble knowingly and doing every right thing in absolute humility and respect. I'm hooked.
Greetings from Illinois, USA. My husband and I are big fans! Have a recipe to share that’s made in foil packets over the fire....we’ve had this on camping trips since we were kids.... Feeds 4 people - 1lb smoked sausage cut up into rounds - 1lb raw large shrimp shelled and tails off - 2 ears of corn broken into 8 pieces - old bay seasoning - fresh thyme - white wine, beer or broth - aluminum foil - Pam cooking spray Cut 4 very large pieces of foil. Fold each in half then unfold. Spray with cooking spray. In the middle of each one place 2 pieces of corn, 2 sprigs of thyme, 1/4 of the shrimp and 1/4 of the sausage. Season with Old Bay seasoning. Fold the top foil over leaving room for steam to puff it up. Fold sides over multiple times on both sides to make a “packet” leaving one side open. Add in some olive oil and white wine, beer or broth. Seal the last side up. Put over the coals about 20-30 minutes and enjoy.
I am COMPLETELY addicted to these amazing off road videos! Here in Alberta Canada we have a few tracks to explore and I've been getting out more thanks to the inspiration I've gotten from 4WD Action. Keep up the great videos guys and I'll keep watching them! (I've even started gearing up my 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail Edition with a new push bar, winch, tires, lift... and the Mrs. loves it!) Cheers boys!
Missed you guy's by about 5 day's when we were up there 😣 it would have absolutely blown my daughter away to meet you guy's she has grown up watching every DVD and binge watching your you tube channel.. Cape was absolutely incredible 👍
Here’s how you make the best peppercorn chicken you’ve ever had Ingredients: 1kg of chicken thighs or breast cut into chunks about an inch thick (for you boys probably 5kg) Half an onion 2mm sliced (2 whole onions for you) 1 tin of green peppercorns ( probably 2 for you and the come in a gold and dark green Tin with product of France on em tablespoon of Dijon mustard Heavy cream 1 chicken stock pod, the concentrated jelly kind (probably 2 for you boys) Rice of your choosing Mushrooms (to keep Graham happy) Step 1 - preheat pan over medium high with olive oil and get the onions ready and rice cooking Step 2 - brown chicken slightly on all sides then in with onions, wait till translucent then add peppercorns, stock pod and Dijon mustard. Step 3 - mix throughly and simmer for 15 to 30 mins until chicken cooks through Step 4 - add cream to taste and season, then serve over a bowl of rice and crack another cold one
In 2004 this “Yank” got the chance to go to the Gold Coast and spend 3 weeks exploring Australia!! I took a 4WD trip into the hinterlands. Love your country and can’t thank you guys enough for putting your show on TH-cam. I spend every Wednesday night watching it as soon as it posts. Thanks Again!!!
You make me wanna stop hiking and buy a 4x4! I love the beerful cooking sessions! Great adventure/travel vids in a stunningly beautiful land. Good on ya.s, from across the water in an equally beautiful land, South Africa.

I’m only 13, and you guys have definitely made me want to drive down gunshot way more than I all ready did and it is no doubt number 1 on my bucket list.
I came from NZ just to do this, bought a 4.5 manual 80 and ran 24psi on 31s, reasonably lightly loaded. Epic trip. Few people thought we were a bit keen when they noticed we had an 8 month old on the trip.
My wife was 36 weeks pregnant when we did the track. Everybody thought we were crazy when we did it but we spent too long planning it to give up on the trip. So our last accessory we decided to pack was one of those emergency beacons as well as a satellite phone. And yes wife did look like she was ready to pop halfway through the trip lol.
Hi guys. I'm from india. Hope you all are good amongst the Covid 19 crisis. I've traveled a lot through my country on my bike. So everytime I do I need quick tasty recipes. I'm sharing one of my favourites with u guys for your camp sites. Journeying around by road is a blessing which too many people cant enjoy. You all are blessed. It's a pleasure watching u all drive those fantastic machines. Chicken with bone. Add turmeric powder Red chilli powder Ginger and garlic paste Chopped onions Marinate for 15 to 20 mins. And cook in olive oil. Add some cooking cream before you serve. And you gave a tasty camp sites dinner. Same can be done with lamb or mutton only in that case the cooking time would increase to 45 mins. Add salt to taste.
I take a Stock Standard no lift non turbo std wheels GQ TD42 along the Old Telly... he does it!!! Though Elliot Creek was deep over the bonnet for 28 seconds on the replay! Windows up! Didn’t know there was an easier way lol so like other years we took him straight through... 700k old had no dramas except old hardened rubber fuel hoses sucked air (from the sudden cooling of the fuel tank, I think) once they saw air again out of the water... he spluttered and blew white smoke for half a minute but came good again 30 seconds later... go the old Patrol!!! The guy who sold us the car back in 2004 said “buy this it’ll take you anywhere you wanna go” we’ve been testing that ever since! Great channel you guys real 4x4ing.... love it!!!
As an American this show is very interesting and I’ve always wanted to visit Australia but now I want to visit even more. Doesn’t help when shauno makes those killer meals
I used to follow your magazine back several years ago. Loved your content when I had my HDJ 80 series! Now I have a fortuner I don't do heavy tracks like that but watching you guys makes me hella satisfied! Cheers 4wd action!
What a fantastic adventure.. You boys did a great job. I do a lot of wheeling here in the U S but you boys don't have to take a back seat to anyone. Well done!!!
WAY BETTER than what we have in the USA! Great job mates! Glad I have my 1985 Toyota 4runner SR5 5 speed on 35's and have been building it for 5 years now, going to install IRONMAN suspension soon. keep up the great work and making these great off roading videos! Thanks again!
I dunno, I find the morgue kinda boring, offroad wise … now, the boss' office on the other hand have all those bookshelves to traverse, not to mention the main desk is always a worthy obstacle, and then there is, of course, the bossman himself. 🤣
That's one hell of a track. One's got to have guts to hit such a track and you guys got balls. Had a good laugh too watching you guys having fun. Good recovery planning made it a success. Thumps up to you guys.

Just watched this with the family. My wife did this trip in 1988 with her Dad and family. A lot less 4WDs back then she said. My 16 yr old son now has the 4WD bug after we did Central Australia last year via Birdsville. And all done in the 80 series Cruiser 😉👍😎 BTW - love the the videos 👌 Cheers the Taylors - Brissy
Dang bros... I'm only 5 minutes in and the cinematography showing the first obstacle is off the chain. Theft if the finest form of flattery, so I'm gonna jack your angles and use them as inspiration for my next video. Cheers!
GGFCHMMAL would be a Sierra in your part of the world assuming you are in Australia. They are called samurai’s here. We also had the sj410, changed the name with the sj413.
GGFCHMMAL yes they are. 1995 was the last year they imported them here. Still have a huge following here. We get pretty serious about modding them too.

I put this on for my toddler because he was wanting "4WD mud videos", next minute he was in bed for his and I had watched the whole thing! Loved it and keen for a trip up Cape York 😊
First of all only just come across your show a week ago love it cant stop watching it. I made something up one night when i was low on supplies cut up chicken breasts browned of a bit a couple tins of coconut cream and a heap of curry on a bed of pasta or rice have made this a few times now so simple and very nice give it a go fellas and enjoy keep those wheels turning
First time watching you guys. Seen shows on the cape York trail a few times, but never so wet as your trip here. Deep on my bucket list but hard since I'm in the US. Absolutely enjoyed watching you guys. Liked, subbed, and off to watch more of your videos.
My hubby and I are in NZ and love watching your videos! Currently building our own custom 4WD camping trailer. Here’s a yummy recipe for Shaun to try: Lamb Obsession 2x sliced onion French onion Maggi soup mix Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup can Worcestershire sauce Mint sauce Mushrooms 4-6 lamb shanks or chops (shanks are best) If you want to do more then double all the other ingredients. Cook in camp oven till meat is falling apart. It’s yummy served over mashed potato- just make sure you have a yummy loaf of bread to soak up the sauce with!
This video is first time ever i watched one of your trips and must saying its awesome adventure. I never owned 4x4 but thinking to buy one after this video :D, even i dont need it :)) but once i visit AUS this kind of travelling is the must. I wish you guys lot fun on the off-road without trucks failures🏁. Greetings from Slovakia 🇸🇰
Like they said. Even a fairly pedestrian 4x4 is capable of a lot. Smaller rigs go places bigger ones don’t. Bigger rigs can be more stable on steep tracks and hold more gear. Both are fun. Hope you got the bug and get one, it’s a lot of fun
I can’t believe , just watched 1 hour and 30 mins of the adventure place , where I will never go in my life . But , what a adventure boys ! Love it ! It sure is not for Faint hearted . Gotta love the old Tele track ...... yeeeewwuuuu
By far the best off-road chanel on TH-cam. look forward to watching other adventures you've done. I was a bit surprised you don't run K&N air Filters though???
Love the basic videos with sooty and a basic set up. It makes it seem more of a real possibility that I could give a try and has inspired me to camp out, go fishing and try out a few one pot meal ideas! Brilliant videos can't wait to see more adventures not just in the amazing new 200(which looks awesome), but the dirty30 and the farm truck too. Jim from the U.K.

One thing I've learnt from this video, is how important properly installed and sealed snorkel is!
Love you guys you really open my eyes up and I have to come to Australia just to go 4-wheeling and I'm hoping I can go with you guys so I can feel really safe you guys are showing us how to do this correctly and not get ourselves in trouble love your program
1:04:10 love it. When you're touring the Tele Track and come to a deep water crossing, you don't poke the boghole with a stick, you go for a swim!
I did gunshot a few weeks after you boys went though!! Showing the ladies how it’s done!! Love ya videos guys!
Australia, we are the lucky country. we’ve got the tracks, camping, fishing and 4WD action. It doesn’t get any better
And in exchange you've got Blue-Ringed Octopus, Rock-fish, and Drop-bears. Somehow that trade seems a little off-balance.
Nothing wrong with a Drop Bear
@@anthonythornton8883 It's just not fair how you get all the awesome stuff...In exchange for a couple of creatures and seasons that make your country look like a death-world...
Brad Holden it does
Breaking a rear diff with three of your mates
Well, I guess you gotta stand out somewhere to distract attention from the fact y'all declared war against emus... and lost...
Cheers!
One day I will make it to Aussie Land.. but till then I drive my 90 Sammy on these Michigan trails Love ur videos Excellent work mates..💪🚙🎥
I have a 92 sammy on the other side of the states, wish I had time to get it out more.
Got me buggered mate, what's a Sammy?
GGFCHMMAL would be a Sierra in your part of the world assuming you are in Australia. They are called samurai’s here. We also had the sj410, changed the name with the sj413.
@@jamess662 Ah right , a Suzuki Sierra. They are little weapons.
GGFCHMMAL yes they are. 1995 was the last year they imported them here. Still have a huge following here. We get pretty serious about modding them too.
This is the best 4x4 program I’ve ever watched. Subscribed with pleasure. Looking forward to watching them all....Paul from Scotland 🏴
I have a 2013 Nissan D40 with 31's A/T my preference is around 16-18 psi, but i'd run about 18-22 psi on the OTT
Corey Slade I’ve an 09 D40 and I run similar here in NZ.
(Quietly got a mate fabricating me up a flat deck and a light alloy half box to replace the tub...ssshhhh don’t tell the missus
I must admit, that dmax is looking super super tasty. This is a fantastic advert for isuzu.
I put this on for my toddler because he was wanting "4WD mud videos", next minute he was in bed for his and I had watched the whole thing! Loved it and keen for a trip up Cape York 😊
I love to watch the dmax doing the same trails as all the other.and as well shauno's cooking
Love the vids guys . Need to come to the USA and do some trails around here. That would be awesome!
Probably my favorite cooking in the episodes ever, ya'll really know how to make someones day!
Came back to rewatch this after last episode… always love watching your journeys all the way from Canada be lovin every moment
12:54 sams 80 sounds meannn af!! 🤤😍
Should do a vid of the camera truck! Always good to have a look
Wish I were closer to Cape York
I'm from the UK, but I love this channel. Subscribed in a heartbeat. My favourite channel 👍
Have Shaun-0 make a shepards pie around the campfire
You guys are awesome to watch because you all got different 4x4s. but the only thing I never seen is a jeep wrangler
John Weeks that’s a good point actually.... be interesting if Cody from Sick Puppy joined in on a trip!
John Weeks please no jeeps
Just more Toyota’s
they did a trip a while back in Melbourne with the double black guy and his JK
My hubby and I are in NZ and love watching your videos! Currently building our own custom 4WD camping trailer. Here’s a yummy recipe for Shaun to try: Lamb Obsession
2x sliced onion
French onion Maggi soup mix
Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup can
Worcestershire sauce
Mint sauce
Mushrooms
4-6 lamb shanks or chops (shanks are best)
If you want to do more then double all the other ingredients.
Cook in camp oven till meat is falling apart.
It’s yummy served over mashed potato- just make sure you have a yummy loaf of bread to soak up the sauce with!
You guys made me buy a 4WD. Thanks for the inspiration!
same
Yep same here.
Me too
You guys are epic legends!! Been hanging for a new vid 🤘🤘🤘
I am addicted to your channel. It beats anything on the TV.
I like how the Ranger was wheel lifting like twice and the 80 just flexing on it. 53:03😂😂
Official Gamer yea but they’ve kept the Stabilizers on the Ranger to keep it as a daily as well I’m guessing
@@tsm5856 no it because it has ifs and leaf springs
Another ford lover
i mean thats ifs for you, any modern dual cab will pop a wheel lift
uauuuu six days later and surprise of the month, a new video .- love you guys .- just make my day -.
What an amazing adventure! Every minute of that looks like an absolute blast!
I have been waiting....SO LONG FOR A NEW TRIP. WOOOO!!!
Its not suitable for dusty conditions
They're overrated
You guys are the greatest. Makes me wish I was Australian!!!!
At 14 minutes I would take the Muddy route. I live in southern USA and we love our Muddy season when we go 4 wheeling
HEY BOYS @4WD Action whats the gu running a zd30 or a td42 and is there a video or forma that shows what mods it is running. thanks mate

@@andyrew6754 thanks mate.
Pretty sure it’s a TD
