I very much appreciate your authenticity and simplistic explanation of a treasured, sacred instrument. This information is a very useful introduction to the singing bowl.
Does sound therapy work primarily thru the body (not the ears)? If so, what is the difference between generating the sound thru a floor speaker versus a bowl or tuning fork? Are the sound/vibrations from a crystal or metal bowl somehow different from the sound vibrations coming out of a speaker? Would a high quality player/speaker be 10% as effective.. 90%? Also any thoughts on those $1500 authentic hand-made Tibetan ("healing" or "therapy" grade bowl) that uses 7 different metals.. versus the more affordable machine-made ("Tourist" grade) metal bowls? Crystal / Quartz bowls? I've read that all bowls are in C-key/major (260hz), and the difference is in the pitch (B, A, G, F, E, D, C : 100hz-900hz)? Is it best for someone else to perform the sound-therapy on you, or is it just as effective to do it one self?
Namaskar For healing purposes we can use anything _~ Hand made , crystal, guitar, flute …… Healer is important here If he knows how to become a instrument to God . 🌸🙏
I don't know if mine is man made or machine, but the vibrations don't last any longer then 10 seconds. Does that mean it's no good? I don't want to bring myself any energy other then light. It's a shame because it wasn't cheap. 😔
Hi @crystal, is it possible that you're not holding it correctly, so it doesn't vibrate enough? There are some videos explaining how to hold it in your hand. Or you could place it on a special meditation cushion. Hope you find out what works and you'll be able to enjoy it.

Namaste keerthisiri, yeas we can plat the bowls in two ways, Touching it and fallow the sound till the end. and another way making it to circling. both have its own benefits upon us. The secret is our mind should settle down with the sound, not to wobble here & there. I shared in this another video how to circling also.
