I ordered a Tibetan singing bowl from Nepal a few years ago. It is an honor to own something made by the people. I am a Christian but believe in chakras and the science behind energy vibration. I use my bowl for meditation, before and after prayer and when I need to calm myself. I am thrilled to see these techniques I did not yet know about. I am American and hope one day to visit Nepal. this is called brain frequency modulation. Your brains neural synapse firing rate sequence modulate (reflects) the constant input stimuli feedback rate coming from external world. When you have a bowl producing sound vibrations at a certain frequency, you brain modulates its rate as well.
so this helps you enter a state of absorption, concentration, and mindfulness much deeper and faster if your a beginner in meditation. However, if you are experienced, then you reach even higher heights.

Thanks to this video (edit: I watched this video a couple years ago), today I came across a handful of bowls in an antique shop, and the shopkeeper was raising the prices of the machine made bowls because they were prettier. And there was only one plainer handmade antique bowl available. I got a steal of a deal because the shop owner wasn’t too impressed with how it looked and wanted to get rid of it sooner. It sounds so much better than any of the other ones and the resonance even lasts longer. ☺️
My husband and I visited Sandeep's shop las January (2020) and it was not only an incredible experience, but he has FAR more to show than what is on this video. I wish they would be shown as well....the really large ones. Sandeep, my Nepali friend is contacting you, as I promised!

There is/was a custom Tibetan bowl shop on Yong St. just below Bloor in Toronto Can. The Sensei master who owns this place can Taylor a bowl to a specific harmony in your body and he carefully instructs 'one' how to properly use and care for your bowl(s) I learned much from him. I regret, I was not a better student.
