He’s absolutely right. I went to a skateboard contest in Sacramento around 1988. I was 12 or 13 years old. Tony was my all time favorite. I think he was 19 years old. While Tony was practicing in the Sacramento heat, I kept calling his name and he would stop and look at me. I was so star struck that I would just snap a photo of him, or I would just stand there and look at him. I kept calling his name to see if he would respond, and he would wave to me every time. Later that evening, my friend and I snuck around to the professional skaters side where the ramp was. I saw Tony sitting on this wall talking to a friend. I told my buddy that I was going to sit on the other side of him and to hurry up and take a photo before he caught me. By the time my friend got the camera ready to take the photo, Tony had turned around and saw me. Right as my friend went to snap the photo, Tony leaned in towards me to take the photo with me. He then asked if my friend wanted a photo too. He ended up signing our shirts and he gave me his contest wrist band. I remember not being able to sleep that night because it felt like a dream. Tony was my hero and I’m glad he’s reached this level of success in his life. I still can’t believe that happened to me. I’m 49 years old and I will always tell this story to whoever that will listen.😂 oh, by the way, he won that night.
100% Jase! I met you in Arlington and couldn't believe you remembered me at Texas Motor Speedway. Been watching your show for years and two 30 second interactions solidified a fan.
You were right.. 100% lived this era in Australia and when the first THPS came out on the PS1 all the local skaters were hooked. We skated less no matter the weather because it was sooo sick. 45 and still at it... SK8 OR DIE 🛹🛹🛹🛹
In the 80's my parents did not like me being into the skate scene "that tony hawk is a bad influence" My old man was the bad influence Tony has always stood for being good Good at skating Good in how you conduct business and good at how you treat others
Great example of how important parenting is. Insanely cool family haha

Ultimate respect to Tony Hawk for being a solid guy on and off the board. His sons composure alone speaks volumes 💯🫡
Seems like a totally cool, level headed, down to earth, nice guy; just like his dad.
Must agree.
100%, he's a super cool person.
Couldn’t have put it better.
Riley seems like such a genuine dude. Like father like son

Tony has always stood for being good
Good at skating
Good in how you conduct business and good at how you treat others
I love that Riley is into extreme metal. Gulch rules.
This is extra proof of what an incredible human Tony Hawk is. The fact he produced a nepo baby that is also clearly a good human speaks volumes.
It's great he learned patience from his dad!! He will need it when dealing with his crazy mother-in-law. 😂😂😂
hOlE iS a GoOd BaNd 😂
The first Tony Hawk Proskater game came out way after Sk8OrDie game for Nintendo. Like at least 10-13 years after. No skateboard games in between.
Very true was all bundled up in Canada in the winters playing thps
such a sick story from Tahiti,
Great guy! Awesome perspectives!
Like you said, GTA, Call of Duty, THPS are the only games I ever cared about playing
I think to most 90s kids, especially boys, Tony is the f***** man.
the Tahiti story was classic! 🤣😆
Do a kick flip

Your mother looks like Tony Hawk.
