Nope, it needs to go away. It won't survive DOGE. Mike would be an outstanding consultant for Dept. of Labor, if even it survives DOGE, but I don't see him as an administrator.
I love Mike Rowe. Dirty jobs and fear factor were 2 shows we sat down as a family and watched growing up 😂 yea we weren't the apprentice type lol and still today I watch deadliest catch with my mother and Mike Rowe narrating means something.
I always wanted to go to a trade school but have been pretty nomadic since 18. throughout my travels I have picked up many skills freelance from carpentry to welding. I have finally settled so far i Missouri of all places at 30 yrs old. Should I go for it?
It sucks when you discover the stupidity of the networks who don't care if a show is popular, if people love watching it. They don't either get it or just don't like it, so they cancel it. That explains why a lot of decent shows have disappeared.
There's a remake coming out you know, but I'm pretty sure it's the same voice actor. Apparently, it's Max Payne 1 and 2 combined into 1 stand alone game!
@23Robusto I don't know anybody your age with such good taste in videogames! I don't know anybody your age who even plays videogames! Respect to you good sir!
My 13 year old started a dog poop scooping business and has been killing it. I drive him around and he has a route of customers he visits weekly. He has learned a lot more from his business than some of the things they have him doing in school.
Off-brand is why network Televison and media is dead. They are unable to show anything new or fresh or unexpected. Every single thing said needs to be on-brand. Even punchlines to shitty late night jokes. Fuck that.
Mike nails it: authenticity over facts. He's a native son of San Francisco, and knew the town when it was a thriving town. I remember his spots on the local station. He still lives in California, but at a safe distance from the city.
I remember watching this show the first time and remembering the dirtiest job I ever did... During college I worked for a commercial window cleaning company, but once in awhile one of the real estate moguls who owned the properties would have a "special request" and since I was strong, determined, and reliable (meaning nobody else would do it for any amount of money) I got sent. Anyhow this dude had a property in downtown Seattle and between 2 buildings was a huge concrete plaza with picnic tables and whatnot... all oversized concrete pavers with gaps in between and roughly 20,000 sq ft... And for whatever reason, this place got blasted by so much Seagull and Canadian Goose shit, it was a rotting bird shit slime outdoor public gathering area. Then you start pressure washing it, and it becomes and airborne mist such foulness only 2 week old rotting sushi forgotten in the the back of a fridge could compare...
I was going to say the thing, plus I've seen rats larger than the ones he mentioned. Not in the same room, but from a distance. They can grow to an outrageous size.
I love the Joe Rogan show and he's hosted a lot of people that I liked but Mike is BY FAR my favorite. As a long time follower of some of his social media pages i always enjoy his insight on the working class. His 'off the wall' monologues are very well thought and said. He's single handedly promoting tradesmen and skilled labor to the new generation.
My H.S. Summer job in the 70’s was in the city sewer dept. We picked manhole covers to check flow and if they were backed up we’d call in the guy that ran the snake truck. If he couldn’t unplug it they’d plug the upstream with a Cherne inflatable, blast the pipes clean with hydrants and rip the street up, put in new pipes. There’s no reason to crawl into a septic sewer, due to the potential for disease or injury no city would ever allow it. Storm sewers are a different story.
If you watch the episode he mentioned, it is an ancient sewer system in San Francisco, made of bricks. At that time, they went in there to inspect and repair. It may be lined with fiberglass and epoxy now.
@joelandolt765 I'm not sure if you're insulting me by playing me a song on the world's smallest violin or what. But it does suck, when what you want is an occupation almost nobody makes it in. Good luck with whatever it is you want
Mike Rowe is the man I wish to god would run for president. And I know he wants nothing to do with that. I don't blame him at all. But dear god he's the kind of leader and steady keel this country is begging for.
Mike Rowe is absolutely right and wrong at the same time There is a cloud A fog A mist That is encompassing us all Imagine a being that has lived before this earth was formed This being has been given choice over us This is concept is true A perception we are so miniscule to perceive What awaits us is eternity A choice we are required to make to move on
Rogan and Rowe together is the content we needed
Rowe v wade
Rogan and Rowe. Honestly, sounds like the name of a law firm.
@@Garrus1995 Rowe and Rogan. And keep on rowing!
Finally not politically stuff, well he is for the working class he’s a stand up man actually
Mike rowe for the head of the department of education. Make it happen.
Yesssss.
😂😂😂
Real talk, I could see that as a legit option. Rowe is 100% for gaining all knowledge, whether you agree with it or not, knowledge is knowledge.
Secretary of Labor.
Nope, it needs to go away. It won't survive DOGE.
Mike would be an outstanding consultant for Dept. of Labor, if even it survives DOGE, but I don't see him as an administrator.
What a fantastic man Mike is. He sings opera, writes books, hosts shows and has a good scholarship program.
American Hero!
And sings operatic pieces absolutely beautifully, he’s got a perfect voice for reading a dang phone book and people would listen.
@@JumpCutThisI wouldn't listen to the phone book audio
Mike Rowe educated me more than all of my teachers in school.
Yessir, Hard work!
Mike Rowe taught you multiplication?

that would be very cool, I bet he has so many interesting stories
@@crs092 I can just imagine Joe's reaction to Jeremy describing a 14ft Arapaima
Mike Rowe is a national treasure.
I think we can agree that, yes, he’s a national treasure, but he’s a gift to humanity that we didn’t know we needed but would be lost without.
I love Mike Rowe. Dirty jobs and fear factor were 2 shows we sat down as a family and watched growing up 😂 yea we weren't the apprentice type lol and still today I watch deadliest catch with my mother and Mike Rowe narrating means something.
The era of respecting over-educated, pompous ivy leaguers is long over. Long live Trade Schools!
🍻
I'm a trade college graduate at Northwest Kansas Tecnical College. Class of 2013
Deplorable here. 100% agree
I always wanted to go to a trade school but have been pretty nomadic since 18. throughout my travels I have picked up many skills freelance from carpentry to welding. I have finally settled so far i Missouri of all places at 30 yrs old. Should I go for it?
Amen brother!
He tells a story as well as an Irish person i know. Tremendous story teller
Wonderful articulated by MR, as always. His show wouldn't have worked without the curiosity, respect, wisdom, & whimsy he has! 👍
It sucks when you discover the stupidity of the networks who don't care if a show is popular, if people love watching it. They don't either get it or just don't like it, so they cancel it. That explains why a lot of decent shows have disappeared.
Love the start to this "my mother's a savage" "Jesus!"
This man's voice would be perfect for Max Payne.
hahah interesting. Are you thinking narrator or one of the characters?

It blows my mind that Rowe was never on Rogan
They need to bring back trade classes in high school. It's ok to get dirty if you take a bath after
Mad respect for this man. Thanks for spotlighting everyday heroes.
“People want to see something that feels like the truth… and that is a sliding scale.”
Mike Rowe might be able to take over worldwide narration duties from Morgan Freeman.
Mike is a top tier narrator. I love the How the Universe Works narrations.
Mike and Joe are the kings!
Mike Rowe thanks for showing... To all how a 21st century works and commodities. People take it for granted. Happy done dirty jobs in part of my life
