I appreciate the love for Scotland Edit: Hearing you pronounce Glenrothes was funny. It's pronounced Glen-roth-ess. Also 'burgh' in Scots is pronounced the same as 'borough' in English. Not berg as in Pittsburgh.
A good thing to consider is the highland boundary fault as a way of quickly determining the rough location just by the landscape. Tinto, loch Leven, Stranraer, Ayr etc are south of the boundary and this can easily be seen in the landscape. The fault line can be seen on the satellite map going from Campbeltown all the way up to Stonehaven. Edit: there are some really good photo spheres on Conic Hill where you can see fields and rolling hills to the south and mountains and glens to the north.

Hi GeoWizard and chat :) I didn't know that there was so much beautiful green landscapes in Scotland..... i thought there were mostly mountains, cliffs and lakes. But i did learn a lot from another youtuber i did found a few month ago. It's 2 young English people, who do travels in their motorhome. Last year they did travel around in the GB and Ireland, and even to Shetland, Orkney and The Hebrides. This year they are traveling into the countries around the North sea and the Baltic sea..... and their latest video is from Estonia. They were lucky to drive into Denmark just a few minutes before our borders were closed because of Covid-19. If you want to watch their amazing travels, you can search for "Next Stop Everywhere" on TH-cam. You won't be disappointed. I'm From Denmark and i'm a big fan of the Scottish and Canadian folk/rock band Runrig. :)
