Perfect score on Geoguessr (UK) in precisely 10 MINUTES (new record)

  • It took me a while but I finally did it. My old record of 10 mins 27 is beaten. The only down side is that I didn't break 10 minutes, which let's face it I could have easily done had I been a bit sharper.
On the plus side, the 10 minute barrier is still up for grabs.

Thanks everyone. Definitely could have gone quicker here but the thought of stuffing up that last round after so many heart-breaking seeds where the last round was shit, was too unbearable a thought so I made double sure. Do drop me a like and a comment to get this vid out there!

Hey quick tip: the timer you used counted frames instead of hundredths of seconds. That's why it kept only going to 30 instead of 99. Also I highly recommend getting a speedrunner timer like Livesplit to more easily record your times.

@@user-dr9bb9ys1v Of course we do, please educate yourself. The culture of England, Scotland and Wales is in: the *architecture* (anything from perfectly preserved 5000 year old Neolithic tombs [e.g. the Tomb of Maeshowe built 2800BC] to some of the finest medieval cathedrals ever built [e.g. the tallest building in the world for 250 years - Lincoln Cathedral built 1072-1311AD]), *traditions* (from a monarchy that has lasted over 1000 years, to the second oldest continuously operational university in the world [Oxford University established 1096AD]), *innovations* (the birth of the modern age [Industrial Revolution began 1760AD] to one of the most important constitutional documents ever written [Magna Carta written 1215AD]), *literature* (some of the greatest writers of the medieval [Geoffrey Chaucer], Renaissance [William Shakespeare] and Romantic periods [William Wordsworth]), *science* (the discovery of gravity [Sir Isaac Newton in 1687AD] to antibiotics [Sir Alexander Fleming in 1928]), *music* (from the best selling music artists of all time [the Beatles], to an artist with the 2nd best selling single of all time [Elton John]), *fashion* (anything from the extraordinary pearl and gossamer-fine silver embroidered gowns of Elizabeth I [in the 16th century], to a style icon of the 18th [Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire]), *popular culture* (from the tales of ancient Britain that gripped medieval Europe [King Arthur], to those that gripped the modern world [Harry Potter]), *art* (great Rococo and Romanticism painters [e.g. Thomas Gainsborough and J.M.W Turner], masters carvers [e.g.Thomas Chippendale and Grinling Gibbons], revolutionary landscape artists [e.g. Capability Brown and Gertrude Jekyll]) etc etc etc...
Also if you would like some examples of places to see it in “England” (I haven’t included Scotland and Wales in this particular list), I would recommend:
      1. *Bath* (a beautiful classical city built in honey-coloured stone with 2000 year old Roman Baths),
      2. *The Cotswolds* (a region containing hundreds of gorgeous historic stone villages and towns; surrounded by rolling green countryside),
      3. *York* (a well preserved medieval city with a huge gothic cathedral),
      4. *Cambridge and Oxford* (two beautiful historic cities with world renowned medieval universities that you are able to tour),
      5. *A Stately Home* (e.g. “Baroque”: Chatsworth House, Blenheim Palace, Castle Howard; “Tudor”: Burghley House, Knole House, Hardwick Hall; “Medieval”: Haddon Hall, Penshurst Place, Berkeley Castle etc),
      6. *A Medieval Castle* (e.g. the castles of Arundel, Bodiam, Alnwick, Windsor, Bamburgh, Warwick, Stokesay, Dover, Leeds [in the Kent countryside not in the city of Leeds], Ludlow etc),
      7. *Canterbury* (a very charming medieval city with an important gothic cathedral),
      8. *A Medieval Cathedral* (some of the finest in England are: Lincoln, Durham, York, Ely, Canterbury, Salisbury, Wells, Winchester, Gloucester, Norwich etc),
      9. *An Ancient Monument* (the Neolithic sites of Wiltshire are my favourite: Stonehenge [3000-2500 BC], Avebury Stone Circle [2850 BC], countless ancient buildings such as West Kennet Long Barrow [3650 BC] and ancient earthworks like Silbury Hill [2850 BC]),
      10. *The Lake District* (this is my favourite natural site in England; not only because it has sublime countryside, but also for its many charming villages and towns).

    • @twiggybeats
      @twiggybeats 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

i dont think Livesplit is really necessary for a geoguessr speedrun only because it tells you your time at the end and the splits would vary so much it wouldnt be accurate. 1 round you could get the london eye for example, that would take seconds, others it might take a lot more 1 round and a lot less another, so splits wouldnt be an accurate way to see where you're at. Splits only really work when you have a pre planned route that has some optimization, Geoguessr is too random

I love exploring historic villages, towns and smaller cities in England (sadly haven’t managed to visit Wales and Scotland enough yet), if you’d like some examples here’s over 100; it really shows how much the architecture changes from region to region:
      - West England:
      *Pretty Villages and Towns:*
      Lacock, Wiltshire,
      Castle Combe, Wiltshire,
