@@Flyn898 A lot of those channels don't make any money from youtube because of the illegal activity featured. I think it's fair that he doesn't want to risk that happening when youtube is how he makes his living
Is there any chance you could upload it on another channel, I don't think TH-cam will be too bothered to find your main channel and demonitise it/ take it down

How not to travel Europe were probably the only videos I’ve ever looked forward to seeing the next part on TH-cam.
GeoWizard it was probably the only youtube series I’ve got exicited for each week and all the effort you put into these videos are insane considering your not a huge channel like you’re very big but you put in more effort than some million subscriber channels
But did it end tho? He left it at the Austrian bakery and no more videos were posted, what happened?

"Bandung" was part of a street name, Jalan Bandung, so it's just a street named after that city
Irish Roads:
M - Motorways
N - National routes, normally major roads going through multiple counties
R - Regional routes, usually within counties
L - Local routes, very small roads and country lanes
You got a better road system then the UK we got:
M: Motorways
A: Main roads, duel carriageways
B: Country lanes, small roads, main roads

Their road system is far better than ours. If in correct in thinking, they're numbered geographically too.
Our number plates are superior aswell as road numbering

"Jln. Bandung"
Jln means road or street. So that sign was saying the equivalent of "Bandung Road". Unfortunate red herring

Yeah, some cities in Indonesia has a cluster of roads named after other cities. So jl. Bandung is not on Bandung.
In Bandung, we have Jl. Jakarta. What a joke!

@@GeoWizard One of the Belfast ones you had to guess was a 3 minute walk up the road from my house. You even looked at the corner shops I visit daily. And I can confirm that ugly wall on the side of the Co Op has been painted and made less of a mess.

'Welkom' *is* 'welcome' in Dutch and Afrikaans so it was really easy to get confused there. On the other hand, that's the kind of place name one would expect in SA.

21:30 Blue Ball road......We've all been there.
Finally got my first perfect score on a no-moving-around from your channel!
Round One I got Welkom pretty quickly because I found a sign that said Welkom Mall; once I was in the city it was quick to find Muizen Street.
Round Two took me ages to find Vex, but I knew it had to be in Switzerland and ended up finding a lot of towns ending with x in that region so I went in closer and found it. The missing road tripped me up but i found the right spot by the buildings.
Round Three I actually did pretty easily; I knew where Medan was and figured out we were in Pematang Siantar quite fast. I figured we were fairly central if it was a taxi service so I found the only place in the center that had the right road configuration, and the road it turned into being called Jl. Bandung confirmed it.
Round Four I got lucky and saw Kilcormac right away when I zoomed in to look at Ireland (it's right next to where the text that says "Ireland" is on the map).
Round Five I spotted Las Grutas right away, and it was a pretty easy find after that.
I'm pretty proud to have done better than you here, because I usually do not :)

a quick tip regarding the registration plates on cars in the first round, when you're sure you're in south africa but you don't know what area, each of the 9 provinces have quite a distinct number plate. the green ones that you saw are from the gauteng province (where johannesburg and pretoria are) hope this helps :)
I think it's a fair shout to have the mission on the Patreon. Would absolutely hate for your channel to get demonetized.
On a side note I've been thinking about joining the Patreon for a while and this will push me to do that, so fair play Tom ;)

Hi Sophie, the straight line mission will be public as there's no threat of me being demonetised. That should be out in late June. It's just the lockdown mission that I've had to have as unlisted. Apologies if you're unable to watch. Hopefully in the future I can release it properly, when all of this has died down.

I know I would be equally rubbish trying to find a random, tiny town in the UK, but that Ireland round was painful to watch :D
Tips for when you're in the Republic of Ireland:
- Always look for post offices, the green 'An Post' building. They always have the name of the town on them
- If road signs are only written in Irish (no English whatsoever) you're probably in the west of the country
- Green roadsigns will point you to 'bigger' places nearby. so always look at them before the white ones

Post offices in Northern Ireland are a Royal Mail. The Republic of Ireland is the green An Post offices. Also, they will have the name of the town/village on them (handy!)
Irish roads from big to small are Motorway (begin with M, signposted white text on blue), National (begin with N, signposted yellow text on green), Regional (begin with R, black text on white) and local ( begin with L, also black text on white). If you find a post office or N Road you're golden.

There is also a very small town called Welcome in North Carolina.
So apparently there are several fans who aren't able to watch the video due to not being able to pay a dollar (or not wanting to for whatever reason). I signed up to Patreon and I love this channel so I'd happily pay the $6 if I could afford it, but I just can't afford that every month, which is why I went with the $1 offer.
Here's the thing, I do think Tom deserves it and I also think it'd be great for fans to be able watch these videos, especially in this current situation where you surely can need distraction, so if anybody wants to sign up to Patreon to get a month of $1 bonus material including but can't for whatever reason, just let me know here, and I'll pay for the first five of you. Don't know how yet, I'm sure we'll work something out.

I'm Irish so just feel like I want to chime in on the Irish one here. Immediately we see "an post" beside the Centra so that rules out Northern Ireland where it would be just "Post Office" in red or royal mail or something like that. Pity the image was just that bit too blurry to see the green sign above the one where you read R437 because above it say Nenagh N52 and you definitely would have been able to find the N52 and then you would have found Kilcormac.

In Ireland the meaning of the N and R for Roads is that N=national road a nd R=regional road

Rd 3 it did take me a minute to realise that Bandung was the name of the street. Unfortunately it seems that the street name has changed so it was the only round I didn't 5k. Rd 5 the streetview looked slightly different when I just tried it.

For the roads in Ireland it's pretty simple.
M = motorway
N = national road, so a main road
R = regional, so small roads
L = local, lanes and very small roads.
