Shikamaru's actions at the 5 kage summit are very similar to what Madara did when he pulled up to the Hidden Stone basically to say "ya'll not tough enough to go to war with us so don't try it" after Hashirama tried to establish true peace. And it had the same effect- coerced peace isn't the same as true peace; it just creates secret hatred that will eventually rise to the surface.

I can see that this is an old video; I just discovered the channel, so binging everything I can but to the point. I like this question/ statement because it’s something to think about there’s also a video where MC said a persons perception is reality and what reality of war is regardless of land, money, or resources the perception of war is every country involved “thinks” they are the good guys it’s extremely sad but it took me back to something my dad said when I was a kid studying on WW2. He asked who do I “think” was good natural I said the US he said no there’s no right or wrong in fighting only hurt and negative repercussions it’s deep really deep of just a state as small as this creates a deep conflict in yourself and to say the heads of governments can start these things because they feel they have less then another shows how devoid of sympathy and compassion for human life. It’s depressing because it’s where we are sitting every second of the day 🤦♂️

If you look up the Warring States period in Japanese history, you'll see an exaggerated version of it for manga/anime purposes is not so crazy. The "Warring States period" in Japan was almost 200 years long.
Imagine all of Japan in constant battle for 200 years stretched to the size of a continent. There may come peace in small pockets every now and then, the rest of the land is still in conflict. That's the 2000 years long continental Warring States period for you.

Which in turn led to an economic crash within some of the villages which led to the 1st Great War. This time around, Naruto freely shared the knowledge to everyone.

Shikamaru would probably tend to be under a huge amount of stress while operating as Naruto’s advisor, which is likely what led to him finally breaking and lashing out during that second Kage Summit. His typical logic and mental processes were failing him here, and he got desperate.

1. Go all out in a death battle and dying protecting mitsuki
2. Orochimaru becoming the final villain and bring back his theme song
3. Orochimaru Koji and Tsunade fighting alongside against the 10tail army and dying remembering jiraya

What I don't understand is why the Kage put up with the daimyo. It's not like the daimyo have armies capable of defeating the hidden villages.
So why don't the Kage just seize power? They get to be Kage by merit. A daimyo is just a noble born into that role. To me, the Kage have more of a right to rule than a daimyo.
Because the Daimyo are basically royalty and if you take them out, there are a lot of people in your village, shinobi included, that will get upset and soon enough you’ll have civil wars within your country and villages.
Daimyos are like our todays monarchy and royalty they serve no purpose where as PMs and Presidents are far more relevant
I was thinking that to but I think a problem would be if the kage tried that, most likely that information would leak out from a mole to the daimyo to give them a heads up before the kage could act and that would give a chance for the daimyo to move their wealth to another nation crippling the nation they hypothetically left.
realistically dont think all the kage could get on the same page of your idea just like In real world people wont really come together to solve a problem if it isnt directly impacting them.
the leafs daimyo and hokage are pretty chill with each other contracting the earth's daimyo and kage so that would create conflict If everyone is not on the same page.
Shinobis are shinobi. By history they are soldiers, not rulers. Besides it's more trouble than its worth: just dealing with their villages is an humongous ammount of work, let alone a giant ass country.
Besides it's backep up by history as well: Our world by and large isn't ruled only by military dictatorships. Or to take the example of just japan, There were various period where Either the Shogun or Emperor was the true ruler, and both factions had various reasons for pushing one or the other

In the real world, rulers who angered their own troops were usually overthrown by them. The daimyo in this story seem to be irritating their soldiers. Now, in our world, a few elite soldiers could still be overpowered by regular troops with ease. After deposing the ruler they'd have to convince most of the soldiers to go along with their rule. In their world, someone like the Kage would easily seize power, and even if people below them wanted to stop it, they probably couldn't. Their power is such that it's not even necessary for them to have the support of others.
"Oh, you disagree with Madara becoming the new fire daimyo? Ok. Enjoy the meteor falling on your village."
Imagine, for example, if Naruto went rogue and seized power. The only person with any chance of stopping him is Sasuke. Everyone else would get crushed.

Government of Naruto honestly needs its own video. Its very. Unexplained, we just know theres a guy who owns the land (Dimio). And then the Shinobi who protect that land. But if they’re hired by the Dimio and ruled by the Dimio, why does it seem like they are they’re own country. Its cool that shinobi decide to build their own villages, but is it leased? Do they own their villagers? If so they are no ruled by the Dimio because he sold that portion of land. How does this all work?

Bro I can’t speak for anybody else but as a anime only watcher you bring the understanding of the manga to life for me
I was reading (listening actually) to Project: Hail Mary which is a sci-fi book about an alien algea eating the suns energy and Earth needing to send a ship to another star system to find a cure. But in the book the leader of the project tells the mc that they studied history as their major and that everything up until about 200 years ago in our world revolved around food production, transport, etc. How all wars were fought over food, the land to grow it, and the people to work the land. And that is 100% true here too. All wars in our world have been fought over land, and to procure resources for our people. It makes me wonder how bad the Land of Stone is fairing that they were ready to invade a nation they had an agreement with just to steal some fertile land to grow food. If food shortage is the underlying problem then finding a way to remedy that would prevent further struggles.
I watch a lot of your videos and this one is one of my favorite. I definitely have to read the novels for myself.

When do you think were the Daimyos and countries establish in regards to the whole history of Naruto world? The implications of the warring clans period does not inspire the stability enough for the Daimyos to exist before then, or at the very least in a very different form. Yet why would Hashirama or more accurately Madara and Tobimaru bow to a Daimyo unless there was some established reason for them.

Moral " Responsibility can make people to have to make difficult decisions, to ensure the safety and security of their dependents. Danzo orchestrated and encouraged the Uchiha massacre because he thought they were a treat to the leaf, Shikamaru out front threatened two cages and allies with death because he considers them a threat to the leaf. It is at this point you realize Danzo might not have been a bad guy, but rather just ensuring the general good.
