"don't be jealous cause I got two BITCHES" this show really does feel like an actual middle school environment, complete with the awkward way Rob swears and the reaction of Clay to that line. And because of that I give it a 0/10 erghhhhh I could feel the awkward memories already
This is a very entertaining pilot. I love it! It feels cartoony while having mature topics. And has a very funny sense of humor. Love Clay, the introverted person he is, and his little buddy, the outgoing little mouse. I love it!

Really fun adventure! Loved the themes between both an introvert and extrovert outcast and their friendship despite their differences. The visual style reminds me a lot of early 2000s Nickelodeon, especially the sharp and jagged designs of characters. I appreciate how much work went into the final compositing. It really brought the visuals together in a way I found very visually pleasing. One thing I did find distracting was the inconsistent lineart between scenes and sometimes between characters in the same scene. But overall, great film!

Indie animations are like suppressed emotions that build up inside you, that being “pleaaaaaase just let me say bad words” and then they bad word everywhere. Its beautiful
Not all inde animation has characters swearing all the time, some indie animated series are aimed at an older audience and most inde pilots don't even used a lot of cursing at all, you're thinking the popular indie animated series such the amazing digital circus and helluva boss and the hazbin hotel pilot as well of other pilots that are pretty much popular with in indie animation in general
I feel like this could have easily been really boring, but the voice acting characters and dialog and pacing was all so well put together it held my attention the entire time. I'm almost confused by how entertained I was by this great job!
I love how you can see the influences wore on the sleeves of this show, the thicker outlines in the outside from the fairly odd parents, the sonic esc character design, I love how the characters act like they’re in high school, they do mild swears occasionally and are vaguely aware of adult ish topics but it’s not overdone, they feel like accurate teenagers

What struck me about this pilot is how accurately Rob and Clay portray the awkwardness of being a teenager. Swearing only when parents are out of earshot, feeling like you have to have a date even if you don't want one/aren't ready, how that first sip of alcohol tastes so weird... and Clay's social anxiety really resonated with me too, as someone who turned 16 during the pandemic and is working to regain my confidence. Clay's "catching up" to communicate and relate to his peers, while Rob's "catching up" to the idealized picture of a young man growing-up-too-fast. It works really well.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the plot as well, but I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen this exact story format done over several times. I’m trying to pinpoint an example…but I’m struggling here. Key moments such as the introvert having a panic attack to then getting drunk, and then standing up for his friend later on. It’s all too familiar…

This pilot gave something new: The combination of a cartoon "for children" with characteristics of a cartoon for adults with the realistic characteristics of how some teenagers can get started in the world of substances like alcohol. It surprised me. Good job, mate.
Yeah it doesn't end. I'm 36 now and it's pretty much all the same. Oh I've tried, there are times where things go a bit differently, but overall it's the same underneath.

4:59 was crazy. It reminds me of one of those friends you have that seem innocent to you but it catches you extremely off guard when they swear or say something out of pocket, like here.
I adore this. Mainly because there's not much of a big premise, and just a slice of every chaotic day life. And like, I don't have to know why Clay and Rob are friends. They have a wonderful dynamic despite their differences, and it's very wholesome to witness. I love Clay's introvertness, and Rob trying to get him out if his shell. It's also wonderful that Rob isn't too pushy, and at the end, he apologises to Clay because he knows Clay didn't want to come. And when Clay said he had a good time overall, it shows they do care for one another.
Clay is my spirit animal holy shit. I was always the kid who kept to themselves and never liked going to clubs. Social interaction with strangers is like poison to me.
Watched it again, and I just realised that Rob was trying to also get "girlfriend" for Clay, he really cares for his socially awkward so much, it is so sweet !!! Also, R.I.P. Worm GF, she was truly loved; even though she was a worm.
Holy fuck it’s Charlie smiling friends 14:19 this is instantly peak. On a genuine note I fucking love this show already it might be one of favourite pieces of recent/new indie animation out there from the cast, the quality, the style and the characters and I cannot wait to see what more comes out from this in the future
Why are they at the bar than? It would’ve been funnier if it was just a youth group, but Rob is treating it like a club, whilst Clay and the rest of them are bored out of they’re minds, and fit the themes more.

This is a really impressive pilot, the animation is legitimately better than a lot of what airs on TV, I would say though that I noticed many pacing issues that made a lot of the jokes not quite stick the landing for me, which can be fixed in editing, but overall I would say that this genuinely shows promise and potential
As a teen going through the rough and awkward stages of high school, this absolutely resonated with me. I had a good laugh but also got to feel for the characters (a little too much feeling for comfort lol) Clay is so relatable for me, and I just loved this pilot in general. I hope more people see this so we can get more episodes!!

This is legendary. I literally enjoyed this more than rick and morty, family guy, simpsons, sanjay and craig and other good shows. I really find him relatable as someone who doesn't like leaving his home. Freaking legendary.
srpelo's voice acting work on the spanish dub blew my expectations, im so used to hearing his voice in such a jokey manner that hearing it in this more serious tone in terms of a youtube cartoon makes me realize how great he really is at doing this

High school parties usually sucked from my experience. I experienced you either be a quiet person or the loudest of the loudest or else there will be people making fun of you. Gaining enough positive audience surpresses the negative audience from my experience. Once I won the prize for being the best partygoer and they gave me the microphone I just yelled complimenting messages towards the people in a crazy manner, people loved it. They love it more than a shy message saying "thank you that I won" or something. It can very easily go wrong. Also a ton of pressure of all the people listening and staring at you can be ignored by just going crazy, knowing that I stutter if I am being serious and start wanting to cry from anxiety.
Making Caddy as a sort of Bandicoot would’ve been the ultimate cameo for him. It’s great hearing the nice range of VA here, I genuinely can’t wait for the next episode, Mark!

This is a good medium between children animation and adult animation, without being too safe or juvenile. Its kind of refreshing.

I surprisingly enjoyed this. This was a pretty good build up into progression of two characters starting off with some kind of relationship. Subbed!

What struck me about this pilot is how accurately Rob and Clay portray the awkwardness of being a teenager. Swearing only when parents are out of earshot, feeling like you have to have a date even if you don't want one/aren't ready, how that first sip of alcohol tastes so weird... and Clay's social anxiety really resonated with me too, as someone who turned 16 during the pandemic and is working to regain my confidence. Clay's "catching up" to communicate and relate to his peers, while Rob's "catching up" to the idealized picture of a young man growing-up-too-fast. It works really well.
Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the plot as well, but I can’t help but feel like I’ve seen this exact story format done over several times. I’m trying to pinpoint an example…but I’m struggling here. Key moments such as the introvert having a panic attack to then getting drunk, and then standing up for his friend later on. It’s all too familiar…

This pilot gave something new: The combination of a cartoon "for children" with characteristics of a cartoon for adults with the realistic characteristics of how some teenagers can get started in the world of substances like alcohol. It surprised me. Good job, mate.

I adore this. Mainly because there's not much of a big premise, and just a slice of every chaotic day life. And like, I don't have to know why Clay and Rob are friends.
They have a wonderful dynamic despite their differences, and it's very wholesome to witness.
I love Clay's introvertness, and Rob trying to get him out if his shell. It's also wonderful that Rob isn't too pushy, and at the end, he apologises to Clay because he knows Clay didn't want to come. And when Clay said he had a good time overall, it shows they do care for one another.

Why are they at the bar than? It would’ve been funnier if it was just a youth group, but Rob is treating it like a club, whilst Clay and the rest of them are bored out of they’re minds, and fit the themes more.
Love your cartoon! Clay is so relatable! I love how it's very FOP, MGPAM, and MLaaTR-esk too!! I can't wait to see more.
I love how it's structured at the start as a family friendly sort of animation, but then progresses to two teens exploring things such as alcohol, hooking up, going to clubs and so on. Loving this already

This is a really impressive pilot, the animation is legitimately better than a lot of what airs on TV, I would say though that I noticed many pacing issues that made a lot of the jokes not quite stick the landing for me, which can be fixed in editing, but overall I would say that this genuinely shows promise and potential
As a teen going through the rough and awkward stages of high school, this absolutely resonated with me.
I had a good laugh but also got to feel for the characters (a little too much feeling for comfort lol)
Clay is so relatable for me, and I just loved this pilot in general. I hope more people see this so we can get more episodes!!

High school parties usually sucked from my experience.
I experienced you either be a quiet person or the loudest of the loudest or else there will be people making fun of you. Gaining enough positive audience surpresses the negative audience from my experience.
Once I won the prize for being the best partygoer and they gave me the microphone I just yelled complimenting messages towards the people in a crazy manner, people loved it. They love it more than a shy message saying "thank you that I won" or something. It can very easily go wrong. Also a ton of pressure of all the people listening and staring at you can be ignored by just going crazy, knowing that I stutter if I am being serious and start wanting to cry from anxiety.
