    Thank you so much! I've unsuccessfully tried baking bread in the past. After your easy to follow recipe, I must say, "success!"
    "The best bread I've ever had!" (My 6 year old)
    "This is way better than Panera bread!" (My 4 year old)
    Oh and by the way, you're right. My four year old was able to do almost all of it by herself. Thank you again! I'm looking forward to more recipes with videos!

    I normally make bread in our bread maker but this looks great! We will be adding this to our menu!!

      It's so easy, I can't even say. My nine-year old makes it on his own without measuring, it's that forgiving. Only thing is, if you don't have a convection oven, I recommend rotating it midway so it cooks evenly, otherwise the bottom might burn or the top might. Otherwise, it's our 'go to' recipe for pizza, calzones, bread and cinnamon buns. Please send pics if you make it :)

      Of course I will!!
      My question is how do you use it as pizza dough? Just roll it out pizza pan size vs rolling it into 6 rolls?

      Yep! Or just top the rolls with pizza sauce and cheese. That's what I do. I call them Pizza Puffs and they are a big hit!

    I just love that you are sharing more Waldorf ideas... We are going to try Oak Meadows this year. I know its not completely Waldorf, but our charter will purchase it for us. I love seeing how the main lessons and activities actually turn out. 🤗

      sarah guevara Hello Sarah! Oak Meadow is a good fit with a lot of families. I know the updated curriculum has departed a bit more from the Waldorf philosophy, but it is a very user friendly curriculum and I'm sure you'll be able to modify it to suit your family needs if necessary. I hope you have a great school year :)

    We're doing this on the weekend isA! Finishing up the Mesopotamian by making a bread/roll recipe from their era isA! and will definitely will be using this video in sha' Allah -- do you know if you can replace regular flour with einkorn in this recipe since I know that the use of einkorn differs from recipe to recipe? Jak!

      Please send pics of your bread! I'd love to see how it turns out. I think einkorn absorbs more water than regular flour, but I've never tried it so I don't know how to alter the recipe. Try making a half batch to begin with and see how it works.

    Looks delicious and so easy! I noticed you did not knead it at all like a traditional recipe would. Is that correct?

    • @PepperandPine
      @PepperandPine  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! No kneading needed. Though it doesn't hurt to knead if you wanted. I usually wait till the dough has risen to let the kids play with it because it's more elastic. What great for this recipe is that from start to finish it's not messy, so if you're new to baking bread, this is a great recipe to try. To be honest, I can't remember if the original recipe called for kneading or not. The reason why I don't is two part: It's easier, faster and less messy and the other reason is because it allows for a pretty wet dough. If you started kneading, you'd have to add more flour or else this wet dough would just stick to your hands and the counter. Those who have tasted it, love it, but around here, we are all bread novices ;)
