- While we were installing a Vintage Air A/C kit in our 56 Chevy Bel Air, we discovered that it would not fit with the Specialty Power Windows Wiper kit that we previously installed. So, we had to remove it and instead installed a Raingear Wiper Kit with much better results. It clears EVERYTHING!

You are awesome Bill! I definitely will be $$$ ahead learning from you. And, you are not alone. There have plenty of times where I have turned off the lights and went back inside the house after discovering something either has to come back apart or just isn’t going to work. Kudos to you for sticking with it.
I like the idea of a bloopers video at the end of her build. And “maybe” do a close-up slow rolling out of the garage video with Bad to the Bone playing in the background. (Think Assembly line scene 😉😉)
Thank you for your knowledge and hard work doing the videos.
Another great episode, buddy. Thanks for sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly. There’s always going to be some “challenges” when working on old cars. I appreciate your willingness to share the speed bumps as well as the successes.
Thanks! My progress has slowed down quite a bit because of things like this, but there it is!
Great video!! When you were reading the 'destructions' and did not read out loud that line about clearing the fuse block, I thought to myself, "oh no", but it cleared! Thanks goodness! Happy days! :)
Outstanding video! Now I know what to expect with my install, Can't wait to see those wipers wiping!!!
When you are all through and got your fine ride back on the road, I hope you give some serious consideration to doing a "final" episode with some 'out takes'. ;) ;) I bet you have some doozys!! :) :)
Those Directions are so true for us Guys 😂😂
I have one of those lights and they are great. Sorry about the wiper system. Beware if it says universal. Lol. Hear you may be getting cold and snow. Have fun Bill.
The more I watch you install this aftermarket stuff the more I think I'll rejuvenate the stock stuff ... in the last video I said I might be interested in the one you took out but I see it may need a little repair ... lets hope it works good ... bought time to drive it pretty soon ...
Hey Bill, it’s a shame you had to swap out the wiper assembly but guess it’s one of those things you don’t think about. I have the Raingear in my 57 and it fit beautifully although I’m not running a/c but there’s plenty of room under the dash. Thanks for the video and hope you have a great week!
I used a rain gear unit as well and I love it.spendy, but high quality
I'm seriously impressed with it. It's definitely a well-designed and sophisticated mechanism, compared to the simplicity of the one I pulled out. But there's no comparison. The Raingear unit is FAR superior.
Always going to be hiccups, but will be worth it in the end. Thanks Bill!
When I went to put in the controller and it banged into the wiper motor, I literally turned the camera off, dropped all my tools, and walked out of the garage without saying anything. It took a few days to gather myself!
@RestoringChristine1956 i hear ya. It can be very frustrating. Takes the fun out of it at times!
@@RestoringChristine1956 - A lesser Man would have given up several times by now!! You have become the Tri 5 Hero! I sure wish there was some way to get these 'aftermarket' companies to compensate you handsomely, because you have made it easier for everyone to install their products!! They owe you big time! Thanks again for your great videos!
Wow good information
Feeling for you on the last few projects. Seems like nothing wants to cooperate. Thx! Hope you are feeling better
